How to Set Portal Single Sign-On to cFolder

Hi,
We have configured cFolder to work with SRM ABAP (D11) and Portal (DJ1)
and it's working fine.
SSO also configured from Portal to SRM ABAP, ECC, and BW as backend withtype UIPWD.
But SSO to cFolder doesn't work.
Creating a system with alias SAP_CFOLDERS in the portal doesn't help.
I have read [cFolder Integration with SRM 7.0 in RFx; and it said that:
If you use NetWeaver Portal, SSO setting is same manner you did for SRM. Portal -> SRM and Portal -> cFolders.
But the login window still appear.
Please help.

You're right...that's what I wanted. Suffering from information overload, I think.
However, I'm still suffering from the same problems I found using the old guide - namely that some of the components are missing;

sap.com/com.sap.xi.mdt*AdapterMessageMonitoring_basic,
sap.com/com.sap.xi.mdt*AdapterMessageMonitoring_ssl,
sap.com/com.sap.xi.mdt*mdt and
sap.com/com.sap.rprof.remoteProfile*exchangeProfile
.....are all absent.
Having done what I can from the guide, I now get 'single signon failed' appearing on the logon dialog. (I can still log on to each component individually)

Using the Portal Single Sign-On for java applet clients

We have a task to build a java applet working within a portlet and comunicating to some session EJB(wrapped BC4J) running on the OC4J. The applet is presumably connecting to server via RMI. This connection should be restricted to some groups of portal users.
When a user is entering the applet he is supposed to be already logged into the Portal.
There is a lot of information on building custom secure portlets using only a pure HTML(same as JSP) client whith the help of the Portal Single Sign-On.
But, is it possible to use the Single Sign-On for establishing a secure RMI connection from applet to OC4J without entering a password in the applet once more?

Perhaps you can write a small JSP page or PLSQL
web procedure that will grab user name from
the SSO Server (via SSOSDK/mod_osso)
and invoke the applet with encrypted user name.
The applet will receive the encrypted username
and decrypt it to get the clear user name.
This help to get Single Sign-On.
To make sure that environment is secure, encrypted
user name parameter should have random salt,
user name, and time stamp to prevent replay attack.
Applet must make sure that the encrypted users name
time stamp set by the JSP/PLSQL page has value
within a reasonable time limit like 5 minutes

Do you have an idea how to set the visibility for Group UI element based on the Portal user authorization in ABAP Webdynpro , for example if the portal user A(or group A), logins into the portal on click of the ABAP Webdynpro IView then we need to set invisible (hide) the Group UI element in webdynpro ABAP Application.
Do you have any sample code on the same to handle the portal authorization in Webdynpro ABAP?? , please let me know if couldnu2019t understand this requirement or my explanation

How to implement a single sign on feature using java.

Hi,
I have a question like , How to implement **single sign on** feature in java without using any third party framework or tool like LDAP or any other which is available in the market.
Actually the situation is i have all security information into the table and those information is used for single sign on . If a user logged in from a jsp loging page all the security role should be assigned to that particular user.
We can do this using LDAP but i am not supposed to use the LDAP or any third party tool . I have to write a java class for that .
please suggest me the method , how to implement this in a web application.

you could setup a token that specifies a user is authenticated. other applications that u want SSO can check for existance of this token
if it is HTTP - you can save the token as a cookie and downstream apps look for this token
yr code needs to validate that the token/cookie was indeed a valid one and not subject to man-in-the middle attack.

How to use the single sign-on cookie

I have a web dynpro application that's triggered by a button press in the gui. It was set up to use the 'WDY_EXECUTE_IN_PLACE' function module. However, I recently attended a Web Dynpro course and was told that's not the correct way to do it - I should be just calling the url and passing any parameters in the url string. I set about changing this today and I'm now using cl_gui_frontend_services=>execute to execute the url but now I'm being asked to log on to access the application - previously I didn't have to do this.
I'm told this is something to do with the single sign-on cookie MYSAPSS02. According to our basis team this is already set but it looks like I need to do something extra - like retrieve it and/or send it to the application somehow. I've had a search around the forum but haven't come up with the answer yet. Can someone point me in the right direction please ?

If you use cl_gui_frontend_services=>execute you won't get single sign on. Instead use CL_GUI_HTML_VIEWER. This class has the special logic to generate the SSO ticket (method ENABLE_SSO). You can place the control in a dummy container object (not actually on the screen) and then use the DETACH_URL_IN_BROWSER method to launch the browser separately from the SAPGUI.

How to set portal context using Java/JPDK api.

I am in the process of converting pl/sql based database provider contect portlets to Java based JPDK. I ran into issue where the database provider portlet users were getting context auto matically. Now with Java/JPDK portlets , I am receiving no data found error, since the context is not set. The pl/sql is setting wwctx_private_api.set_context ('portal') to set the context. From Java if we call this api, it is taking a toll on the performance and the portlet times out.
Can any help how to set the context for a web provider using JPDK or any other better solution. Any immediate help is highly appreciated.

SAP Netweaver Portal Single Sign On.

Ok, I need some help!
We have a dashboard that is accessed through a SAP Netweaver Portal. The Dasboard gets it's data from a LiveOffice Crystal Reports object which when refreshed asks the user for the BOE logon credentials. The users do not want to have to Log in to the BOE for the Crystal Report to refresh, so the question is has anyone successfully managed to use some method of Single Sign On from SAP Netweaver to BOE (v3.1) for a dashboard SWF refresh?

Check the BSP application sytem and page sso2test.htm to check out whether SSO is enabled.
Follow this steps if SSO is not enabled in your BSP system to configure SSO:
1.Run RZ10 transaction.
2.Add the following parameters:
login/accept_sso2_ticket 1
login/create_sso2_ticket 1
login/ticket_expiration_time Default = 60 hours
3.Then Restart your server.
Then in the transaction SSO2 check whether logon tickets are accepeted..
You can run sso2test.htm in your system BSP application whether SSO2 is enabled or not.

It provides Calendar, Mail, and Address Book provider channels that easily integrate iMS, iCS, iDS, into Portal.
It helps to have an external LDAP configuration also,
this holds userid/passwords for both iMS and iCS and can be used for Portal to authenticate against. Just
configure via Portal admin a domain, authentication, LDAP.
Messaging needs some parameters configured.
Using configutil, set the following:
local.webmail.sso.enable 1
local.webmail.sso.prefix ssogrp1
local.webmail.sso.id msg50
local.webmail.sso.singlesignoff 1
service.http.ipsecurity no
Restart everything, and as a user, login using LDAP
authentication, then Edit your content enabling
the Mail Provider. With the Mail Provider enabled,
Edit the channel filling in the information based on
your Messenger Express client.

How to set portal security context for a procedure

Hi, I have procedure that needs to call some of the PDK APIs (WWSBR_API), but outside the scope of the web browser, i.e, automatically via a DBMS_JOB or queue. There is no HTML outputted, but rather a log entry made to a custom table.
The schema that this custom pkg belongs has all the necessary grants made to it from provsyns so that it should run.
How do I programatically set the context of the portal security so as to make the PDK APIs think it has been invoked by a Portal Adminstrator or a user with sufficient privs to perform the actions against the PDK and therefore not bomb out with security exceptions? I have seen this documented quite some time ago, but cannot find the details.

How to set Portal Theme for WDA iView different from user's Theme

Hi Experts!
I have dual-stack system: ABAP server + Java. I have WDA application in ABAP server and I deployed it to NW Portal via iView (using template).
There are two themes customized:
1: Standard - to be used for all iviews except WDA iviews. This theme is set as default for user.
2.: WDA theme - to be used for some WDA iviews IRRESPECTIVELY what them is set in personalization settings of the user.
So my question is:
Can I somehow set the Portal Theme to be used for specific iView no matter what Theme user has selected in his personalization?
Or if its not possible, can I set some specific Theme for WDA application?
So taks is to overcome settings for default portal theme for user and replace it with different theme. Is this possible?

Are you using an LDAP as your UME, or are the user records from from R/3 ?
Apparently (Ive never done it) you used to be able to force a default language by editing this file (back in the EP5 days):
<J2EE root>\WEB-INF\portal\system\properties\prtDefault.properties
Look at the following lines :
This is the default language to be used when none is specified
request.defaultlanguage=en
request.defaultcountry=us
If you prefer to have the same language for all users no matter their user locale, change the lines to this :
This is the default language to be used when none is specified
request.mandatorylanguage=en
request.mandatorycountry=us

you may use JTabbedPane.removeTabAt(int) method as long as you don't want the tab to appear & when needed use JTabbedPane.insertTabAt(String, Icon, Component, String, int) method.
