How to set SQL Server Login MUST_CHANGE, CHECK_POLICY, CHECK_EXPIRATION all to OFF with T-SQL. SSMS will not allow me to change policies to OFF. Error: 15128 - The CHECK_POLICY and CHECK_EXPIRATION options cannot be turned OFF when MUST_CHANGE is

It appears you have to change the password first(it could the same password but an alter command needs to be done)

I'm pretty sure higher access superceedes, so you could set up a group with no actual access, just to get the preferences working, then their individual security will dictate what they can do. I haven't tested this fully, but I beleive this is how it will work. As far as setting the preferences, go into the admin console and right click on the group, then select Preferences. To apply the group preferences to a user, add the user to the group, then right click on the user, select preferences and from the upper left corner, use the drop down to select the active preference, in this case, it will be the group you created and added them to. Below is what needs to be done.
1. Edit the variable JAVA_ARGS in iasenv.ksh to include the -Dhttp.proxyHost. For example, the JAVA_ARGS looks like this : JAVA_ARGS="-Xss512k -Xms64m -Xmx64m -Dhttp.proxyHost=proxy.myhost.com -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080"
2. This JAVA_ARGS is the one under the kjs script settings. You will find this below the comment ## Set all user level JVM flags for KJS here.
3. Now stop and restart the application server.
4. Any new URL connections from the servlets/applications within the appserver will now go through the proxy server.
I have tested this on iAS6.0 SP3. But this should work in 6.5 too. Please let me know if this helps.

In a SQL*Plus session, I can use the SQL statement "alter session set sql_trace=true;" to set SQL trace in that session only. I assume I could execute the same SQL statement from C code in an OCI client and achieve the same goal.
However, if I cannot change the code of this OCI client, is there a way to set SQL trace for that single session alone, without changing the C code? Say, through an environment variable, configuration file, etc.?

I am not aware of a way to selectively enable the server-side tracing without modifying the client code.
There is client tracing available by setting the environment variable EVENT_10842 as follows:
"server=<>;user=<>;stmt=<>;level=<>;interval=<>"
e.g.
setenv EVENT_10842 "server=inst1,inst2;user=scott,system;stmt=all;level=15"
Where:
"server" is a comma separated list or "all"
"user" is a comma separated list or "all"
"stmt" can be INSERT,UPDATE,DELETE,SELECT or "all"
The following levels are supported:
1 - Trace all server attach and server detach calls for servers listed in "server" attribute of the environment variable.
2 - Trace all session begin, logon, session end, logoff calls for the users listed in "user" attribute of the environment variable.
3 - Trace all prepare, execute, fetch calls for the specified statement types listed in "stmt" attribute of environment variable.
4 - Trace all Bind, Define, Describe calls.
5 - Trace all OCI LOB calls
7 - Get statistical info on all connection pooling /connection related calls
8 - Get statistical info on all session info
9 - Get statistical info on all handle info
10 - Get statistical info on time taken in execute and fetch calls
11 - Get statistical info on transaction related calls
15 - Trace all calls with statistical info.

How to set the Server CLASSPATH?

Hi all Oracle Java experts,
I know this is a rather stupid questions:
Where can I set the CLASSPATH of the Servlet Engine in Oracle 8.1.7.?
I spent hours now searching the documentation and found loads of hints what to add to the CLASSPATH in which circumstances, but not how to... Of course I know how to use the CLASSPATH in a normal Java environment, but not in the OSE.
In the "Oracle8i Application Developer's Guide - XML" it says in the "Using XSQL Servlet" Chapter:
"How you set the CLASSPATH of the web server's Servlet environment and how you associate a Servlet with a file extension are done differently for each web server. The XSQL Servlet's Release Notes contain detailed setup information for specific web servers you might want to use with XSQL Pages."
Unfortunately, the Release Notes contain this information for Tomcat, Apache JServ etc., but not for Oracle's own Servlet Engine... Maybe you should include that information.

Not sure if I understatnd the context in which you want to set your classpath.
IDE, java or system but ...
look at the profile file /etc/profile
CLASSPATH= "/usr/local/jdk1.4......"
export CLASSPATH
or
javac -classpath .;/usr/local/jkd1.4.... test.java
or
whatever your ide provides.

Now Oracle 9iAS r1 (reports60) was installed on Linux, Unix and NT for testing.
I typed like below in web browser .

then Oracle Reports environment variants(REPORTS_PATH, REPORTS... so on..) did not set . except PATH, LI_LIBRARY_PATH and ORACLE_HOME variants like below..

I can set it with editing registery on Windows.
But thought I set it with export option at .bash_profile, reports60.sh and reports_server on Unix platform, it did not affected.
Please let me know how to set reports environment on Unix.

The reports CGI is started from script rwcgi60. Did you set those env variables in rwcgi60? Or did rwcgi60 call reports60.sh to set env variables? Please check.

How to set Proxy for IE 8.0 on doing Load Testing with OATS 12.1.0.2

I have tried adding proxy server by adding the address to "Localhost" and Port as 8080.
but nothing is working out, for recording an EBS instance its working fine ,no need to setup anything in the OATS tool, eg, Proxy settings.
But when it comes to BPM with ADF technology , the recorder is not starting the Recording even the pointer navigation also not wokring.
So, is there way to record the ADF applications in BPM ?

Thing is do we need to add the proxy server here?, as for doing Load testing on EBS application,there is no need of adding a proxy server,
So the same way it should work with the ADF application too, but its not showing any mouse pointer in the Browser tool bar or recording
the navigation.
Point to be noted is, we need to connect to VPN in order to access the Application.
is it because of VPN connection that its not recording?
But while doing the functional testing I didn't face anyproblem though as its recording everything even if we are connected to VPN.
In Functional testing also i found ,all the input fields where we add the "username" or any input data via a "text box" the tool is not able to
record the field information along with the input we enter.
If you could let me know ,how to do a Load testing for ADF application using BPM , it would be helpful

Is there a way to set a customized search results template for all users? If it's impossible, is there a way to modify the Headline view? I'm not able to find the resource or template where this view is.

How to set JCO.Server to unicode

Hi,
I'm trying to call a Java class (myExample5)from a R/3 that is unicode compliant. Using example5 in the sapjco-ntintel-2.1.5.zip, I've created the ABAP program to call STFC_CONNECTION with the destination 'JCO'. I get to my JAVA program, but the input it receives is null. I think I need to set the JCO.Server to be unicode, but I can't figure out how.
Can someone provide me with an example?
Also, do I need to had any additional dll to my system32 directory?

If you want to make outbound RFC calls from a Unicode SAP system to a JCo server instance, the server must be set up using the additional serverProperty
You also need to set the unicode option for your RFC destination in transaction SM59 in transaction SM59 (tab page MDMP_Unicode).
You can create Unicode Compatible JCOSERVER01 as follows
