How to set the field object's persence to "visible (Screen only)" by JavaScript?

Dear all,
I 'm new for designing Livecycle Form. As the title I mentained above, I only know the persence of field object can be configured by the JS code.
for example: this.presence = "visible";
or this.presence = "hidden"; ....
However, I want to configure the field object to visible (Screen only) by code. I had search all related key word, but I cannot find any information about this.
Question:
1. Are there any code in javascript to do that? Or any way to do this by code?

Hi experts,
For the component 'ICCMP_EMP_SRCH' there is a view 'BUPAEMPSEARCH' , which has 2 context nodes 'CUSTOMER' AND 'SEARCHEMPLOYEE' , i need to add the field 'NICKNAME' which is part of the 'CUSTOMER' context node on the search screen. Currrently all the fields on the screen screen are from the 'SEARCHEMPLOYEE' context node. when i did the configuration , the 'NICKNAME' field is greyed out . I have already generated the Getter ,Setter , GET_I, GET_M methods for the 'NICKNAME' field and the context node and controller class and context class are all active .
on debugging the GET_I method, i see that rv_disabled = 'TRUE' and the current = collection_wrapper->get_current( ) is returning empty value .
for this rv_disabled to be set false , the code below is not triggered since there is no value in current.

'NICKNAME' ) = abap_false. "#EC NOTEXT
rv_disabled = 'FALSE'.
ENDIF.
when i check for other search fields of context node 'SEARCHEMPLOYEE' , all the fields are set to rv_disabled = 'FALSE'.
can anyone suggest how to approch this. iam i missing any binding between context nodes or any activations ?
The field properties are set as Input field and the display checkbox is not checked.

i have to map total 30 fields in a rule file while by default it allows only 20 fields. so how can we set the fields as per our need?

Essbase rule file does not constrain you with only 20 fileds.
When you click on 'create a rule file', by default it ll show you 20 fileds .But , when you open a data file ( in your case , you data file has 30 columns i.e 30 fields) in the data prep editor , you ll see all 30 fileds .
So ,you have to do nothing to increase the filed count , rule file will automatically show all fields .

HCM F&P - How to set the field as Required based on drop down values

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to set the Date field as mandatory when a particular value is selected in drop down list. I have already tried with MessageBox though it displays the error message but process moves further i.e. on clicking Check & Send button it throws an error message but still it moves further and i can see only Send button. Ideally it should halt there itself.

Yes, we can definately control this from the backend but that would be the last option i should execute. Ideally, this is something to be controlled in front end itself

By setting the field attrbiute Required will set the field mandatory as a whole irrespective of drop down values or any other UI element.

How to set the fields invisible/visible dynamically with screen-exits

Goal: I am changing the subscreen from standard screen for mobile device interface, i.e. function group LMOB. With a scanner I am to read a material number and have it confirmed by the SAP system. For this I need an input field which is already supplied by the standard program. The users require the screen to be dynamic, i.e. I can not do the settings in the screen-painter.
Problem occurred: After I have changed to use the customized subscreen 1202 in function group XLRF, not all the fields are displayed. It seems that the values for setting the screen elements are lost when calling the subscreen (3202, copy of screen 2202). For instance, it does not show my input field. Somewhere there need to be a list that contains all these parameter switches? I know how Loop at screen works but cant find the values that are supposed to be passed over to the subscreen.
Would be grateful for some help.

Unfortunately I don't know the transaction you're working on, but I had a similar problem once.
You have to use the commands LOOP AT SCREEN and MODIFY SCREEN. I found some online help here: <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/9f/dba70535c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/frameset.htm">SAP Online Help</a>. The fields of the pseudo-table SCREEN can be found here: <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/9f/dbab6f35c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/frameset.htm">SAP Online Help</a>. I think you have to set INVISIBLE to 'X' - but you may have to experiment.
Another thing to look out for is that you have to call this method in the PBO section of the dynpro. Take care no SAP logic is executed after your modification that changes your settings...

here i have got to modify one zscreen by adding 1 more field,when i added one field in teh screen by just writng the code in program as SELECT-OPTIONS ilart FOR CAUFVD-ILART.
but iam unable to get the field text for the text field from teh table CAUFVD.
CAN ANY BODY HELP ME IN THIS.

Hi Varma,
Even if you want to personalise the Text also you can do without checking the DICTREF checkbox. Dirctly you can give the text in the Text elements by using the Menu GOTO -> Text Elemetns -> Selection Texts.

Go to BD64 and select your message type which you want and double click on this message type.Now a popup will display and below this popup there is a pushbutton Create filter group.Press this pushbutton then you will get the all filter object in that message type here you will add filter values.
Before that you have chekc in BD59 tcode that is any filter object required is assigned to your message type or not if no filter object not assigned to you message type then you can add your required filter fields here.

suppose as your ex. if you are having fiscalyear variant in the dataselection tab then specify K4 in the from column, again the ficalyearvariant row and click on insert duplicate row at the bottom . you will get another row . In that enter Y2 in the from column. now you can extract K4, y2 values .

Hi,
BOM is created with some component and item category.
In task list when you go to component, in normal case one selects and copies BOM over there by clicking component selection button.
Once BOM is copied over there the BOM item category will get copied. As it is BOM item category in Task list it is greyed and it will get copied automatically from BOM.
You specify item category required by you in IB01 or IB02 and then use that BOM in task list. Go to componenet tab and click component selection button. Once BOM is copied over there the BOM item category will get copied

But always the first item is selected whatever the value of selectedIndex equals to.

if i understand correctly, you want the selectedindex to be 2 when the DropDownList displays.
It might be the case that the dataprovider is being sought after it's already selected its index (as the dataprovider isn't already determined to begin with), so currently it's
 - setting the selected index to default
 - setting the selected index to 2 (your command)
 - getting the dataprovider
 - setting the selected index to default
try writing a function to set the DropDownList's selected index after it's received the information, or even just attach it to the employeeService result handler.
for quick testing sake you could just add
<s:DropDownList id="dropDownList" requireSelection="true" updateComplete="dropDownList.selectedIndex = 2"
 labelField="lastName" dataProvider="{employeeService.lastResult.employees.employee}"/>
to see if my theory is correct.

I am a designer and I use Word Processing templates with layout breaks and all the other tools available because Layout templates are just WP templates with a lot of options removed.
Pages is not Indesign, but then Indesign is not Pages, …and Pages 5 is not Pages '09.
Unless your flyers are for the Web, why are you using Pages at all?
I am curious, what does your post have to do with the O.P.'s question? …and why are you posting it here?
