How to set Value from 1 frame to another ?

I am having 2 Frame. Frame A and Frame B. Frame A is having a text Field and a button. When i click on the button on the Frame A, how can p*** the value inside the text field of Frame A into a text Field of Frame B which already prepared. Please help !

Hi,
Use a hidden field and assign the value to this field rather than a variable so that the value could be retained on the page submission and in the AM assign the value to the DB where ever you need it and ignore the value from the actual field, Hope it helps!

  • How to copy value from one frame to another frame

    Hi,
    I am new to swing prgramming .
    I have created a menu called " TopFrame " and it contains toplevel menu item "select" and select Menu contains subitems "firstframe", "secondframe", "thirdframe" and "Exit".
    When i click select->firstframe it displays a new Frame f1 with a
    textfield t1. I enter value in textfield t1 and minimise the frame.
    similarly when i click select->secondframe it displays a new Frame f2 with a textfield t1. I enter value in textfield t1 and minimise the frame.
    now when i click select->thirdframe it displays a frame f3 which contains button called "Totalvalue" and a textfield t2 .
    MY question is after opening frame f3 when i press "Totalvalue" button it should add the values from textfield t1 from both the frames f1 and f2 and display the result in textfield t2 of frame f3.
    Actually my application is big but for better understanding i have reduced the description above.
    I am posting the code...Kindly help me

  • How to set value from one view to other view's context node attr b4 save

    HI all,
    My requirement is as below:
    There are two views in component BP_CONT.
    BP_CONT/ContactDetails    IMPL class
    BP_CONT/SalesEmployee   SALESEMPLOYEE    STRUCT.SALESEMPLOYEE
    I want to set value from first view to second view's context node's attribute.
    i get Sales Employee BP number in ContactDetails view, from here i want to set that value in to STRUCT.SALESEMPLOYEE
    of second view in the same component.
    please send me code snippet for doing the same.
    Thanks in advance.
    seema

    Hi Seema
    You can access the fields from different views by either using custom controllers or by using component controllers, in your case you can access the Sales employee BP number from the Component controller.
    first access the component controller  as below in BP_CONT/SalesEmployee  (in do_prepare_output method) or in (specific setter method)
    lv_compcontroller type ref to CL_BP_CONT_BSPWDCOMPONENT_IMPL,
    lv_partner type ref to cl_crm_bol_entity,
    lv_role type string,
    lv_partner_no type string.
    lv_employee TYPE REF TO if_bol_bo_property_access,
    lv_compcontroller  = me->COMP_CONTROLLER.
    lv_partner ?= lv_compcontroller  ->typed_context->-partner->collection_wrapper->get_current( ).
    lv_role = lv_partner->get_property( iv_attr_name = 'BP_ROLE' )
    IF LV_ROLE = 'SALESEMPLOYEE'
      lv_partner_no ?= lv_current->get_property( iv_attr_name = 'BP_NUMBER' ).
    endif.
    now set the value
    lv_employee ?= me->typed_context->salesemployee->collection_wrapper->get_current( )
    CHECK lv_employee IS BOUND.
        lv_employee->set_property( iv_attr_name = 'SALESEMPLOYEE' iv_value =  lv_partner_no  )
    Thanks & Regards

  • How to concatenate values from one form to another form using calculated columns in sharepoint?

    Im new to Sharepoint.
     I need to know , how to fetch the x1 , x2 values from one form to another form x1, x2 fields, this wants to happen when 2 forms ID fields(Drop down field) are same.
    ex:
    first module I have 3 fields like, "Marketing ID" , "Company name" , "Vendor name".
    second module I have the same related fields like "Marketing ID" , "Company name" , "Vendor name" and some more fields.
    now i need to fetch the information from 1st module to 2nd module ( "Company name" , "Vendor name" ) when I select the Marketing Id(Drop down - field)
    it should be want to show in Calculated columns.
    Can someone make a suggestion on how I can do this.
    Thank you so much for any help you may be able to provide.
    Sincerely
    Ahalya Babu

    Calculated Columns can only generate a value from fields of the current item. And only some types of fields (for example, it can't use a lookup column).
    Consider using a workflow to accomplish your goal.

  • How to pass value from one method to another method

    Hi all,
    I have created a funtion module and i am calling this function module inside a method and it is exporting some value in a table, now i have to pass table value to another method where i have do some thing based upon this values.
    I think there a marco available to move the values from one method to another method.
    Please help me in this issue.
    Regards
    Balaji E.

    Hi,
    Let me make certain assumptions!
    Method 1 - You export the table values
    Method 2 - The method where you need the table values
    Once you create a method from a function module which has tables as one of the export parameters then the code automatically puts in the macro code which looks like : SWC_SET_TABLE CONTAINER 'Table' TABLE.
    The 'Table' in the above code is the container element which is created by the workflow once you use this method and the TABLE (The table that gets filled in the function module) is the variable to code automatically created.
    Now you can use the other function module in the workflow as a background step and pass the values from the 'Table' container to this method using the binding. When you use this then the method automatically has the macro SWC_GET_TABLE CONTAINER 'Table' ITABLE. Here the 'Table' is the same container table you used in the binding and the ITABLE would be the variable you can use in the other function module.
    Hope this helps,
    Sudhi

  • How to set Value from Frame to Frame

    I am having 2 Frame. Frame A and Frame B. Frame A is having a text Field and a button. When i click on the button on the Frame A, how can pass the value inside the text field of Frame A into a text Field of Frame B which already prepared. Please help !

    Hi,
    Seems like u r not really undertand my real problem. Below is the details of my probelm.
    I have two JFrames in my application . From the first frame when
    I click the "Find" Button the second frame is instantiated which
    queries for the value to be found . My intention is that when I
    click find on the second Frame all other Column values(from the
    database) should be dispalyed in the First frame corresponding
    to the value I am searching. I am calling the set method in the
    first frame from the second frame to dispaly the values in the
    first frame. But this is not getting displayed in the first
    frame even though i am able to get the result printed in the
    console window.
    Hope you can be more understand and help me to solve the problem.

  • How to set value from LOV only as a default reference not enforce validate check?

    In jdev 11.1.2.3,
    By creating  List of Value(LOV) for an attribute of a VO, I can get default value for the current VO's attribute from the lookup table, but it will also enforce a validate check for that value.
    If I input a value which is not in the lookup table, then errors will raised.
    Now I hope I can get default value from LOV, and can also input some new value (and this new value can be insert into the lookup table by a database trigger) for the attribute/field without failure to pass the check.
    Any one can help?
    Thanks!

    Hi, Arun
    Your suggestion let me get to know how to create a new record in the customeActions facet of inputComboBoxListOfValues, which I donot know before. It's great. and thank you very much.
    However, my current issue is a different requirement, let me describe it clearly as:
    I have a formlayout to input a field value which can be from a lookup table, or if this value is not in the lookup table then it can also be input without raising value validation check failure.and this new value can be added to the lookup table at the same time.
    for example, there is a FK attribute deptno in the EMP table, in a form for editing EMP attributes, user can input deptno value which is already in the DEPT lookup table by selecting from a LOV. also can input some new value which cannot be selected from the LOV, and this new deptno value will be posted to database both in EMP and DEPT table.
    The issue is, after create a LOV for deptno attribute in EMP VO, there will be a enforced value validation check, so new values cannot be input in EMP unless it is input into DEPT first.
    (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37975_01/web.111240/e16182/lists.htm#BABBJFBB)
    List of values are designed to return valid values only. As a result, validation rules defined on data source view object attributes will be suppressed.
    My question is: how to disable this enforced value validation for a LOV-enabled field?
    (There is other means to ensure user will input valid value for this field, for example ask him to double input.)
    Thanks again!

  • Passing values from one frame to another in a PSP

    i have problem of passing combo values from an HTML frame to another HTML frame.
    These combo values are selected via a sql query. Now when a onClick function tries to pass these selected values to a Java Script function it says invalid object for the java script objects.
    <form name>.<combo box name>.options when called gives invalid object as JS error in the browser.
    plz can, some one suggest me how to recognize these selected values.
    Thanx,
    Jay

    I dont see a 'REFRESH' option in the context menu (when I right click on the query). Also, the REFRESH option available in the MENU options (ie PAUSE AUTOMATIC REFRESH) also does not work.
    The way I built my workbook was, I built the 1st query in Analyzer and then I started inserting 'ANALYSIS GRIDS' in the remaining worksheets. To these GRIDS - I linked a data provider and linked a query or query view to that data provider.
    Any more suggestions??

  • ESB  : How to Pass value from one RS to another RS

    Hi Gurus,
    I want to pass a value from one First Routing service to another to set the value for the last XSL transformation.
    How can I do this without creating specific XSDs??
    Rgs
    JO

    Data flowing through the ESB is XML-based (or opaque), so if the value you want to pass is in the XML result of RS1, you can use it in RS2. If you have a good reason why not too or this doesn't work for you, you could store data somewhere along the ESB process (database, stateful bean, etc.). Otherwise, you would need to let the ESB generate (or create you own) XSD describing the XML.

So based upon an action, it should take the live values from one address field and populate the other address field. I know in JS you can do it, but how to implement that in Apex?
    I guess using Dynamic Actions to achieve this in Version 4 but do not know how. Read quite some info but no luck.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    I have assumed that you have your shipping address at the top of the page, and then further down the page you have your billing address that you want to enable the users to copy (if this is in reverese, you will need to switch the js variables in the code following).
    I would create a Select List item above the 'Billing Address' details, called PX_SAME_ADDRESSThis select list would be static, with the options Null.
    I also assume you would have pairs of address page items such as:
    PX_SHIPPING_ADDRESS_L1
    PX_BILLING_ADDRESS_L1
    PX_SHIPPING_ADDRESS_L2
    PX_BILLING_ADDRESS_L2
    PX_SHIPPING_POST_CODE
    PX_BILLING_POST_CODEThen copy the following code into the HTML Header of the page definition:
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function copyAddress()
       if( $x('PX_SAME_ADDRESS').value == 'YES')
         $x('PX_BILLING_ADDRESS_L1').value = $x('PX_SHIPPING_ADDRESS_L1').value;
         $x('PX_BILLING_ADDRESS_L2').value = $x('PX_SHIPPING_ADDRESS_L2').value;
         $x('PX_BILLING_POST_CODE').value = $x('PX_SHIPPING_POST_CODE').value;
       else //Clear Address Fields
         $x('PX_BILLING_ADDRESS_L1').value = " ";
         $x('PX_BILLING_ADDRESS_L2').value = " ";
         $x('PX_BILLING_POST_CODE').value = " ";
    </script>Then, in your PX_SAME_ADDRESS item, copy the code below into the Element > HTML Form Element Attributes field.
    onChange="copyAddress();"Hopefully this works for you too, and should give you some basis to play around with.
    Amanda.

  • How to pass values from one form to another.

    Dear all,
    i have a table A i want to double a text item and open another form B. then setting values or adding values in it. i want to close the form and open the form A. the values selected in form B. i want to send to the form A.
    please help me.
    Muhammad Nadeem

    Hi
    To send value to the form A from B, you do this action.
    1. Declare a parameter list:
    pl_id paramlist;
    2. Create the parameter list:
    pl_id := create_parameter_list('ParameterLilst_FormA');
    3. Add all value to the parameter list.
    add_parameter(pl_id, 'variable1', text_parameter, 'valueOfVariable');
    4. Open the form B and you send it the parameter list.
    open_form('B', activate, session, pl_id);
    NOTE: In there form B you might have some parameters having the same name of the variable added to the parameter list:
    e.g.: :parameter.variable1

  • Passing value from one frame to another?

    HI
    I am trying to use actionscript to calculate an amount and
    pass it from keyframe (1) to another keyframe (15) where the total
    is supposed to be carried over and displayed. Any ideas why this
    doesn't work?
    Also should I be using screens or scenes to make this any
    easier? - I am not sure.
    thanks
    Emma
    ON FRAME ONE:
    //Calculates total price.
    two_btn.onPress = function() {
    priceTotal_txt.text = Number (price1_txt.text) + Number
    (price2_txt.text) + Number (price3_txt.text) + Number
    (price4_txt.text);
    var MyTotal:Number = priceTotal_txt.text;
    _root.gotoAndStop (15);
    ON FRAME 15:
    this.onEnterFrame = function (){
    var MyTotal:Number = priceTotal_txt.text;}

    Number of things wrong here.
    1. if you declare var MyTotal within the body of a function
    it is considered a local variable and automatically gets deleted
    after the function has executed. Meaning, you loose it.
    The var needs to be declared on the timeline (and is called a
    timeline variable).
    var MyTotal:Number=0;
    //Calculates total price.
    two_btn.onPress = function() {
    priceTotal_txt.text = Number (price1_txt.text) + Number
    (price2_txt.text) + Number (price3_txt.text) + Number
    (price4_txt.text);
    MyTotal = priceTotal_txt.text;
    _root.gotoAndStop (15);
    2. onEnterFrame is a misleading name for the event. You will
    probably include a stop() action on frame 15 and then the function
    you assign to the event handler gets executed n number of times per
    second where n is the framerate of the movie. You don't want that.
    on frame 15:
    trace(MyTotal); // I'm not sure what you want to do here...
    3. Convert a string to a number by using parseInt()
    var MyTotal:Number=0;
    //Calculates total price.
    two_btn.onPress = function() {
    priceTotal_txt.text = Number (price1_txt.text) + Number
    (price2_txt.text) + Number (price3_txt.text) + Number
    (price4_txt.text);
    MyTotal = parseInt(priceTotal_txt.text);
    _root.gotoAndStop (15);

  • How to copy a value from one Frame to another Frame.

    Hi,
    I am new to Swing and AWT prgramming .
    I have created a menu called " Test window " and it contains toplevel menu item "File" and File Menu contains subitems "Product Evaluation", "ProcessEvaluation", "ResourceEvalation", "TotalEvaluation" and "Exit".
    When i click File->Product Evaluation it displays a new Frame named frame1 , similarly if i click ProcessEvaluation , ResourceEvalation , TotalEvalation it displays frame 2 , frame 3 and frame 4 Respectively,
    frame 1 , frame 2, frame 3 contains four textfields with names t1,t2,t3 and t4.(NOTE: I have given same names for textfields in all three frames so that in future i want to extend my GUI).
    frame 4 contains 4 textfields with names t5,t6,t7,t8 and 4 buttons (b1,b2,b3,b4).
    After i compile my program i will select ProductEvaluation and enter some values in textfield of frame 1 and minimise it. Similary i will open ProcessEvaluation and TotalEvaluation and enter values in textfields of frame2 and frame3 and minimise them.
    My queston is now if i select TotalEvaluation and press Button1 in frame 4 it should display in textfield t5 the value extracted from t1 in frame1 added to the value extracted from t1 in frame 2 added to the value extracted from t1 in frame 3.
    ie after pressing Button 1 textfield t5 should conatin value of t1 in frame1+ value of t1 in frame2 + value of t1 in frame3.
    I am sending the code.
    Can you please help me.

  • How to take value from one table to another table?

    Hi,
    My requirement is,I have two tables those are Document and Transaction both having one common column "Docseriescode"
    in Document table already having different records with "Docseriescode".
    when i am going  to transaction table for adding records,  in "docseriescode" column automatically generate perticular Docseriescode
    eg:
    i have one "Cargo" record in Document Table with code CCN
    when i am going to Transactional table for inserting in this Docseriescode columns automatically get "CCN" code and get a drop down value
    anybody help me?

    Your use case is a simple master detail relation between two tables. If you don't have foreign keys in the db you can build the associations and links yourself in jdev. Doing this enables you to create  detail rows from a master row where the pk of the master is automatically set in the fk of the detail.
