How to setup email and sametime communications within MSProject 2013 with resources?

How do you setup Sametime and email communications with your resources in a MSProject 2013 Server project? It is much different from the stand alone version of MSProject 2013.

I think you will see that almost all of us are saying the samething. Let me try and summarize it for you:
1) If you want "Project Server" to send out alerts/emails whenever you update and publish schedules, you will need to enable the alerts. Samething with SharePoint Alerts and emails.
2) The ability to directly email/chat with a resource from MS Project 2013, only comes with Lync Server and Its components installed in your farm (or if you are using Office 365). 
3) There is 'some' integration between Lotus Notes/Same Time, but as far as I know, currently SharePoint 2013 is not currently supported with Sametime 8.5.x and 9.0 integration. Even if it was, I am not sure if it works the same way as Lync does.
Hopefully, that kind of clarifies/summarizes the scenario.

    Goto Tcode SCOT:Node>create node>give node name and description>ten continue>choose RFC or HTTP radio button>if say you choose RFC>continue>click address type>then continue-->check various options
    Check Tcode SCOT, the configuration of the SMTP should look like:Mail Host: the Exchange server domain name (FQDN)
    Mail port: 25
    Code Page: what ever you need (like 4110 unicode UTF8)
    in the supported address choose Internet then click on the SET button and include your company address like:@XXX.ac.in:)
    In the SAP's user manager (SU01) the user need an email address to be able to send emails.
    Please check weather the default domain in transaction SCOT>menu>settings is set or not.
    Check SAP note If you use SMTP check the note --> 455140,487754. & 455140 Also check that in Tnx SCOT

    First, I would avoid listening to NBC as a source for tech news. They've proven that they are not a responsible source for that kind of thing. See:

    Second, the SSL issue is solved by upgrading to iOS 7.0.6, as Allan points out. Plug in your phone, open the Settings app and go to General, then Software Update. Download and install the update from there. You can also download it on your computer, in iTunes, and install through sync, but that download will be larger, since it's not specific to your device.
    Finally, note that you still cannot trust e-mail... anything you put in an e-mail might as well be put on a postcard. SSL encryption only protects the transmission of username and password, when it comes to e-mail... the contents of the messages sent and received are not encrypted, and can be read (or even modified) by anyone between you and the sender/recipient. The only way to protect your e-mail is through some kind of signing and encryption, such as S/MIME.

    I'm relatively new to FCS and trying to setup the structure necessary for our work environment. Does anyone know how to setup the ability to search assets by TC within a production by creating a timecode option in the asset filter? I found some default timecode options in lookups but not sure if they would meet the needs.

    You're off to a good start, assuming you can truly connect to your server within your private network.
    To get VPN working over a public network, you'll need to do the following:
    1.  Change your server from an automatically acquired IP address from DHCP, to a manual one.  In one of the steps below, you will forward VPN ports from your router at the firewall to your server's private IP address.  If your server's address gets changed by your DHCP server, then the forwarding won't work.  You can take the automatically assigned address it has now, and convert it to a manual one, keeping the same address.
    1a.  At your DHCP server (time capsule, for you), configure to reserver the IP address that is assigned to your server, so it can't dynamically assign some other device to that address by accident.
    2.  At your router/firewall (time capsule for you), manually forward the Ports used for VPN services to the intrnal IP address of your server.  I think apple's airport config utility makes this pretty self explanatory.
    3.  If you suspect there's any chance that your external IP address changes occassionally (many IPS's do this), then sign up for a service like DYN-DNS (free).  Once you have an account with them, you run the DYNDNS daemon on your server.  It will ascertain the external IP address of your network, and forward this info to the DYNDNS server.  when you try to connect to <youraccountname>.dyndns.org, it will automatically redirect you to the public IP address of your server.
    Once you do step 2 above, the public will begin probing your server.  It's remarkable how quickly it begins.  Use good passwords on your server.  Use a good shared secret for VPN.  Dont turn on any server services (ex., SSH) that aren't absolutely essential, and if you do, mae sure they have good passwords, and use RSA certificates for them if possible (turning off SSH password access completely).

    However, if in the BIS configuration wizard (usually accessed via Setup > Email Settings) only shows Enterprise email, then you don't have an adequate data plan from your carrier to enable the enhanced BB Push email. You will need to contact them to find out what plan you need from them (at whatever fees they charge) to enable access to their Blackberry Internet Service. Typically, it's called The Blackberry Data Plan -- generic data plans are usually not sufficient to enable access to the enhanced BB services hosted by your carrier.

    Hi:
    What you are talking about is building a "form". What you have posted is a sample of a pre-built form and a service that offers free coding, or will go the next step for you and install a functioning form for you.
    Golive has what you need to build forms on your own - it has all the text fields, radio buttons, submit buttons etc. available, and any book about whatever GoLive version you have (including the online HELP) will have step-by-step instructions on how to do the building on your end.
    The tricky part comes with making the form actually work. GoLive can only build the form page with all the fields and buttons, etc. but processing a form requires a server, and coding has to be added to your page that directs the page to interact with the server and process the form.
    Different servers (i.e. different hosting companies) handle forms differently. Some use cgi scripts, some use php scripts and occasionally other types. Some companies have prefab forms setup for you, similarly to what you posted from FreeContactForm, with good directions on how to make the scripts work with your forms. Others have prefab forms and poor directions or no directions on how to make the scripts work with your form. Other companies tell you you're on your own altogether.
    I'm from the design side of the world and doing forms was quite intimidating for me originally. It doesn't intimidate me anymore but it's usually a minor pain in the a$$. Depends on the hosting company. Some have instructions that are clear and easy, etc. Others, not so much.
    What I generally do is start by contacting the hosting company Tech Support and asking how they handle forms. They may direct me to their prefab stuff, often accessible through an ADMIN portal, or they'll tell me to go find my own script, or whatever. Depending on what they offer I'll take a look and if I have questions I'll call them back or not.
    Basically with forms you have 2 key things to grasp. What coding do you need to add to your web page? And do you need to address any kind of separate document? Sometimes there will be a script page that resides on the server (in a cgi-bin, or php folder, or on the root) that you would need to open and add something to. In your web page itself you always have to add something to the form part of the coding, but sometimes you add something to your head code as well. It just depends on the script involved.
    Generally you need to provide the email address that the form results will be sent to, a URL for a "Thank You For Subscribing" (or whatever) page that will appear after the person hits the "submit" button, or other page you want to appear (maybe you just have them go back to the homepage on the website, or you send them to a default "your form has been submitted" page that the script will generate if you don't provide a URL. Thats ez, but the pages are usually ugly and won't match your site at all.). Also, you usually have options to provide a Subject Line for the email that will be generated so that the receiver knows that the email is from the form, etc.
    FreeContactForm appears to be offering to just handle all that for you and you can certainly go that route. When I first tackled forms I needed a programmer buddy to help understand what the heck was going on - you'll probably need someone to help you. But it IS good to learn to understand the basics because, if you build websites it's going to come up over and over. And it's good to learn to work in source code at least to some extent, because that will come up too.
    But if you're building something for fun now and aren't going to do this a lot, you probably don't need to hassle with it.

    Open time machine and shut it off.
    Chances are you will still be receiving the emails, meaning that it is a spam type of malware that may have changed your mail settings and only appears to be from the time machine.
    Open your mail program preferences and set to delete from server after being read, if that is possible with your mail program.
    Sometimes it is not best to forward all the seemingly harmless and funny emails that come your way.
    After all, that is what the kids writing viruses are counting on.
    Perhaps a free antivirus program such as Sophos may help you out.

    I have 2 OWB repositories in 1 database, 1 for development (OWBOWN_D schema) and 1 for testing (OWBOWN_T).
    In the same database I have a OWF repository (OWF_MGR schema).
    The objects in the development and test OWB repository have the same names, including the workflow package names.
    In both OWB-repositories OWF_MGR is referenced in the Oracle Workflow location.
    The problem is that both repositories create a synonym <workflow package name>WBRTI_WORKFLOW_UTIL in OWF_MGR schema. The one that is created as last (executed by OWBOWN_T) overwrites the first one. So the process flows in the workflow package from OWNOWN_D gives errors and can not be executed.
    My first thought to solve this, was installing OWF twice. But because the OWF-installation creates public synonyms for the OWF-schema this also good give problems.
    Has anyone a suggestion how to setup 2 OWB repositories together with the possibility to use ProcessFlow packages with the same name in both repositories and the 2 OWB repositories and 1 or 2 OWF-repositories installed in 1 database?

    Hi,
    i think that for ou to solve this problem you will have to create an additional OWF schema, or create two different packages and duplicate the process flows, this will sove your problem.
    Since OWB deploys all mappings in a package even if you want to deploy just one i usually use a sandbox package where i test my process flow before adding it to the production package and there are cases when i have a process flow name repeated but in two different packages, so this will work.

    The process is described here, though that is several years old. As far as I know it still works in 10.6.8. However, use it at your own peril. Also note that just because your messages request a receipt does not mean that the recipient's email client will send one - even if the client has the capability, many users will have it turned off. Apple's Mail hasn't the capability.
