How to show connection errors?

Hello,
When my user in the backend system is locked and I call RFC’s in VC concerned this system I don’t get any results as well as no information about the connection problem.
Is there any possibility to make these connection errors visible to the user in the UI?
Thanks and Regards
Robert

Hi Robert,
Currently, Visual Composer does not support error modeling. This is something that we plan for future releases. However, I have heard that some customers use their own RFC to call the target RFC. Once they see they got an error, they return a certain field with the error and then they can output it as a pop up to the user.
Hope this helps,
Natty

  • How to show custom error message in WebADI Excel template?

    Hi,
    I've  created a custom Web ADI integrator and associated it with a 'Procedure' based custom interface.
    WebADI Interface API Returns is set to  "Error Message".
    I'm using  raise_application_error(-20001, "Actual Error Message") for invalid rows,but custom error message from PL/SQL  is not populated on the excel template.
    Instead it is showing "SQL exception occurred during PL/SQL upload".
    Am I missing anything? How to show custom error message from Pl/SQL procedure to WebADI Excel template?
    TIA
    Narasimha

    The custom API errors are visible in the BNE log but not on the Excel.

  • How to show  an error Page in Weblogic when the server is down

    Hi ,
    I heard that every container has the facility to show an error page when the server is down and (when the request has arrived at that time ).
    Please tell me how to configure this in BEA weblogic ??
    Thanks .

    Hi,
    From my understanding weblogic dose not provide the thing which you are asking for, reason is given below.
    - An application is deployed only on managed server one (MS-1)
    - Now if the request comes to the server (MS-1) when it was running and then for some reason MS-1 goes down then weblogic server would be able to send any response back to the client as its down.
    - Hence nothing can be done as the request object is been lost when the server goes down or even cant redirect to an error page as for doing that too the server has to be up and running.
    However there are other way round which can help you overcome this issue as shown below
    - Use Clusters with few managed servers in it which gives you high availability and load-balancing.
    - Use any web servers like Apache in front of weblogic servers.
    Using the above things you can also use customized HTTP Error Responses with error-page element in web.xml and create your own error pages which can be re-directed for the web server side also. For more information go through the below links

  • How to show execution error message from a Process

    hi
    i have a requirement like to display the error messsage returned by the proceure.
    I have a process with point After Submit and validations, where i am calling a procedure which returns the execution status with SUCCESS or FAILURE;
    and if it FAILURE, it will return the error_message also, how can i show this message to the user just like how we are showing the process success message/validation message.
    And i need to stop the process execution there itself once its got failed;
    how can i achieve these two? anyone can give some inputs....
    thanks in advance
    renjish

    paul and denes, thanks for the quick reply...
    i tried the both option the message is coming properly. but the thing is i want to stop the execution there itself where i got the error from the procedure and the page should be remained in the same page.
    currently i have a page 10(customer search screen), from there i called page 102 (customer edit screen) and in the page 102 i attached the process which includes the procedure to update the customer details;
    Normally if update is success, the procedure will return SUCCESS and its navigating to the page 10(customer search screen.). so here if FAILURE is returning by procedure, i need to be in the same page i.e 102(customer edit) by showing the error message..just like a validation message...
    currently whatever the procedure returns either SUCCESS or FAILURE, it goes to previous screen, but i need the method just like how the validation works if it fails.
    hope you got....
    regards

  • How to show an error if the user enters a value which is not in the dropdown of a form

    Hi All,
    I have attached the screenshot below and if we look at the field for claimnumber we have a dropdown which can help the users pick the available claimnumbers, but if someone accidentally types in a claimnumber that is not in the system( which doesnt show
    up in the dropdown) the form is accepting that claimnumbers too, but i want to have a error or warning window popup saying that this claimnumber is not valid or something.
    Can someone please help me with this?
    Thanks.

    Open the form in design view.
    Select the Combo Box.
    Set its Limit to List property to Yes.
    If the user types a value that does not occur in the list, Access will display a standard error message:
    If you want to display a custom message, you can write code in the On Not in List
    event of the combo box:
    Private Sub ClaimNumber_NotInList(NewData As String, Response As Integer)
    ' Undo the incorrect item
    Me.ClaimNumber.Undo
    ' Display a custom error message
    MsgBox "Please select a claim number from the list!", vbExclamation
    ' Tell Access not to display the built-in message
    Response = acDataErrContinue
    End Sub
    where ClaimNumber is the name of the combo box.

  • How to show Session Error Records to End Users

    Hi all,
    I had to populate data using SESSION Method...
    I have 1000 records, out of which 750 records where updated correctly but i got 250 error records in it.
    i know that error records are stored in Error log/ INCORRECT SESSION in SM35.
    Now i want to modify these errounous records and repopulate them.
    Questions.
    1) We click on ANALYSE in SM35 to determine which sreen and value produced the error. if we have small data we can correct them interactively there only. But for 250 records how we have to correct them and upload 250 errors records.
    2) Can we download those error records into a flatfile.
    3) Is there any other method to handle such situation.

                                                 out.close();
                                       }

    e.printStackTrace() will send the stacktrace to the System.out, which will most likely end up in a logfile. One way to get the error to show up in the browser would be to rethrow the exception as a ServletException:
    try{
    } catch(Exception e) {
    ServletException se = new ServletException(e.getMessage());
    se.setStackTrace(e.getStackTrace());
    throw se;
    }Bit of a hack solution. You could also try this:
    try{
    } catch(Exception e) {
    throw new ServletException(e);
    }This will set your original exception as the cause of the ServletException. Tomcat (assuming you are using Tomcat) always prints a root cause, so I think it will display the exception correctly.

  • DSEE 6.3: how to show detailed error messages to ldap clients?

    Is there any possibilty in DSEE 6.3 to send to ldap clients detailed error messages about - for example - missing required attributes in ldap add operation?
    I don't have access to ldap server's logs, so I loose a lot of time trying to figure out "which of 40 attributes I sent to server is bad?"...

    Thank you for reply.
    I know that I can view schema, but I need the functionality which is available in relational databases. When I try to store bad field value in database table, I get descriptive error message: "field XYZ has bad value". In DSEE I get "schema violation" or other cryptic message.
    It's very hard to track the problem if you operate on 30 or more attributes. Which one causes error?
    I see that this functionality is available in DSEE backend (error logs are descriptive). How to turn on this for clients?
    If it is not possible, I will try to write special software module which will double DSEE functionality and check attributes before storing them in DSEE.

  • How to Show Inline Message in Oracle ADF 11g Release 1.

    Can you please tell me how to show inline error Message on particular field.

    If I understand your requirement correctly you need to show a particular error message showing a red mark around the field like in required case right ?
    You would need to do it programmatically by using the following code -
                    FacesMessage msg = new FacesMessage(FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR,"Error on this field", null);
                    facesContext.addMessage(uiComponent.getClientId(facesContext), msg);//where uiComponent is the binding of the component in the bean ,on which the error needs to be shown.

  • Connection Error Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

    I have Nokia 5230 it has Symbian 9.4, 5th Edition
    I am having some strange problem with my mobile, don't know what to do.
    So here is my problem :-
    When i insert Tata Docomo Sim Card in my 5230, and whenever i try to call any one it says Connection Error and am not able to call anyone, nor able to receive any, although the network signal is full.
    When i removed Docomo simcard, and inserted Reliance in 5230, than it works fine and i am able to send & receive calls.
    When i put that Same Docomo simcard in Motorola, than it also works fine.
    Why does Docomo simcard shows Connection Error in Nokia and works fine in Motorola??
    So i am freaked out. What exactly the problem is ??????

    Sometimes if a phone is branded (or even if it's not) you may need to contact whoever supplies your sim card to get them to send the settings required to your handset, try contacting your service provider, they should be able to solve your problem. This doesn't seam to be a Nokia/Handset problem !!
