How to skip columns in flatfile while uploading

Hi everybody,
I have a query related to transfer structure and flat file uploading...
I have 15 columns in the flat file where in I want only first three columns and middlt 4 columns and last 1 column required for uploading into ODS.
then how should I design my transfer structure......
which infoobejects i have to use extra...

Hi,
i will explain with some example.
If a ODS have key fields
1. Customer
2..Material
3. Distributor
4. Speciality
data fields
1. amount
2. cost.
IF the flat file has all the required fields above.
As per the requirement u need only customer, material and cost in ur ODS.
First Define All a ODS with all the fields above i mentioned and create transfer rules for all the above fields as per the flat file.
Now create a ODS( copy from the above ODS) and delete the required fields which are not necessary. Now create infopackage and schedule it below the same infosource to load data into the second ODS. Now it works
Try this way. It might works. If u need further give me a reply

How to get legacy customer no. while uploading Customer master and vendor

Hi All,
I want to upload Customer master and Vendor master data from legacy using LSMW. I am using SAP standard programs available for the same. I am using internal number assignment in SAP for these masters.
I case of material master these is a field in MARA named BISMT which is populated with old material no. used in legacy. Is there any corresponding field for customer and vendor master upload?. Moreover is this field automatically populated by SAP report while uploading?.I want to know which old material no. is mapped to which new internally generated number.

if you are looking for a field in customer and vendor master data that should contain the old (legacy number), take a look at knb1-altkn and in case of a vendor at lfb1-altkn.

How to reduce size of image while uploading it in livecycle pdf.

Hi,
I have created a pdf with Image field using live cycle designer.
I have selected "Sizing: Scale Image to fit Rectangle".
Now the problem is the pdf which i have created is 1.5MB and if i import or upload a 2.5MB image in image field then the size of pdf becomes 6MB.
I have around 20 image fields in my pdf report , so if people keep uploading high resolution images in the pdf then the pdf becomes more then 15MB, slow and unmanagable.
Is there any way by which even if I upload a 5MB image the it should automatically reduce image size?
As the users does not bother to reduce the size of image they just upload high resolution and large size image in pdf.
Please tell me the way through which i can reduce the image size automatically while uploading.

I tried by reducing the size of container , But scroll bars appears automatically .
The size of Picture remains same .
Please tell me if there is any option to fix the size of container ... so that picture reduces its size automatically .

How to skip the Inbound Delivery while updating LA confirmations via EDI

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement wherein I dont want to create Inbound Delivery automatically when updating the LA (or a copied Conf Cat of LA) confirmation via EDI. When we are using the message type DESADV, LA confirmations are being updated, but simultaneously, the Inbound delivery also being created. My client desires that Inbound Delivery should not happen and only LA confirmation should be updated via EDI.
Is there anyway, by which we can skip the Inbound Delivery while updating the LA confirmations in the PO?

SQL Loader Problem : how to skip column using sql ldr

My problme is like this.
In the data file i am getting some data and storing it in flat file format with ` as delimiter.
For example:
t1col1`t1col2`t1col3`t2col1`t2col2`t2col3`t2col4
There are two tables here i.e t1 having 3 columns and t2 having 4 column values.
But in the database i m having only 3 columns for t2 which corresponds to data of t2col3. Now in my control file can i use filler to skip this value in the datafile with the columnName mentioned.
So my basic question is can i get rid of some column value which is there in the datafile and its position is not known when it will come but its name is known and its name is not present in the actual database. Can it be done using keyword "filler".
Any help on this would be highly appreciated.

How do you update the other fields of the database table?
I assume your database table has some fields like Changed by , Changed On, Change time etc., in its definition.
If you are making a direct table update, pass the SY-UNAME, SY-DATUM/SY-DATLO, SY-UZEIT/SY-TIMLO to the respective fields in your table along with the data modified.

How to remove or hide Name column while upload document in document library

Hi All,
In below print screen the first column Name* which always show when I'm going to upload the file which I don't want. It will be really help full if you provide some solution how to hide this column while uploading the document. Its really confusing the users
when they are going to upload the document in document library.
I already tested below steps. After clicking Document Content Type every column is clickable except "Name" column.
Go to Document Library settings -> Advance settings -> Allow management of content types -> check the box
Now go back to Document Library settings -> Under content types -> click Document content type -> select the column -> Hide this column
Every column is clickable except "Name" column so unable to resolve this issue. Please help.

Hi,
The only way to find out errors is to open the file from abap read through each record and validate it.
However , my approach would be to read through each record, validate it, if valid process it otherwise collect it in another auxilary internal table and then in the end log the errors for later processing.

SharePoint 2013: Hide/Show Column fields while uploading document in Document Library

Dear all,
I have created a document Library LIB001 and I have created One Column of type Choice, drop down list, (CCHOICE) and I have created 3 other columns, (Column1, Column2, Column3).
What I want is while uploading a file in the document library, when I choose a certain value from CCHOICE, i want to show/hide and/or make the column mandatory.
Can anyone help/guide me how to achieve this?

Random Records are being skipped while uploading data in PSA from CSV File

Hi Experts,
I am facing issue in data uploading in PSA through CSV file, Random Records are being skipped while uploading data in PSA.
First Load
We have flat file (.txt in CSV format), which contains 380240 Records.
We are uploading the flat file data into PSA from Application Server. But it uploads Only 380235 records, 5 Records are being skipped.
Second Load
We have re-generated same file next day, which contains same No of Records (380240), but this time it uploads Only 380233 records, 7 Records are being skipped.
We found 1 skipped record (based on key columns combination, by cross verifying from source and PSA table) from First load. But same records (combination of key column) is available in second load. It means same records are not being skipped every time.
Earlier (5 months ago) , We have loaded 641190 Records from flat file in same PSA and all records (641190) were uploaded successfully.
There is no change is Source, PSA and flat file structure.

Please check in the file if at the begining if it has got any excape sign then that record may be skipped so the records may be mssing
Please check the excape sign like ; if they are present at the beginign that recor entirely will be skipped.
