How to split compilation [CD1] and [CD2] in view

Hello,
I am using itunes 11 (newest version). I Let's say I have a two-disc compilation (say Best of 2012) with 20 songs per CD.
The following ID3-Tags are fillled:
* Album = "Best of 2012"
* Compilation = "1"
* Year = "2012"
* Discnumber = "1/2" or "2/2"
* Genre = "pop"
* Artist = Artist per Song
* Title = Title per Song
* Track = Tracknumber per Song
* Cover is also set
When using Album view I see only one cover "Best of 2012". When I click on it, all 40 songs are displayed. At least I expect to see the correct order of tracks in CD1 and CD2, which is not the case
When setting the disc number I thought the compilation would be separated in CD1 and CD2 in album view. This is not the case. When is the disc number used? How can I seperate CD1 and CD2 in Album view?

Are the letters always in the end? And starting in position 8? Or having the space between numbers and letters? This is usefull info that could allow us to give you the BEST solution.
However, I'll give you a generic solution that will allways work (I hope ).

Now I have a dashboard call Car, on this dashboard I have prompts like Date, Car, Pay Type, Cost, pretty much the same name as the columns in the above table. I have also set up session variables to pick up users based on the log in.
Now for user2, he is getting 1 email, which is the dashboard with both Audi and Porsche on there. Instead, he wants to 2 attachments, 1 for Audi and 1 more Porsche. Is there a way to achieve this using 1 agent?
Please let me know how to split the result sets based on user records in the table

How to split Large mp4 and AVI video files to smaller scenes

Hi All
I’ve been looking into how to cut-up large files ready for import into CS4. So far all I can find are the usual suspects that only lets you cut a section from a file. Dose anyone use any software that enables you to split a large video file (MP4, AVI and so on) into say 20 sections all in one hit?
I do a lot of HD onboard cams, so the video is set to fire and only shut off when the run has finished. I then end up with about 60 percent of the file (in diferent parts) I need to trash.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated indeed!

How to split iPhoto library and NOT loose metadata?

My iPhoto library gets too big (30GB); hence I'd like to split it and make two separate libraries, one for 2008, one for 2009.
How can I do this WITHOUT loosing all the metadata and file structure: e.g. the albums, the MobileMe gallery, the Faces and Places data etc.???
Any solutions, suggestions, pointers are welcome. Thanks.

Splitting the Library will not save you any disk space, and will, in fact, use more as the database and support files will be duplicated. Also, it's less convenient as you can only access one Library at a time. If you're worried about disk space you can run a Library from an external disk.
That said:
Duplicate the Library in the Finder.
Open the first one - lets say it's the 2009 one - and remove all the 2008 elements from it.
Then Open the second one and remove all the 2009 elements from it.
Result: two libraries, intact for the respective years.
To choose a Library to open: Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
Managing Multiple Libraries - including moving pics/albums/rolls and metadata between them - is greatly facilitated by using iPhoto Library Manager

How to split presentation level and business level using two ATG instances

Hello All!
We are investigating possibility of splitting ATG presentation (web store with jsp pages and other presentation components) and business (ATG components such as Pricing, Catalog, etc.) levels. The first idea that we have is simply start two instances of ATG. One instance will serve client requests (presentation level) and communicates with another ATG instance (business level) where all ATG components are situated.
The main problem is a Nucleus container which is used for accessing all ATG components. And we don't know right solution how to point to a Nucleus container that is situated on a remote ATG instance. Right now we have two ideas how to establish communication between two ATG instances:
- try to replace local Nucleus container by remote one using RMI;
- do not replace Nucleus container by implementing some custom filter that can redirect all servlet requests to another ATG instance. In that case we will have two Nucleus containers.
What do you think about all this? Do you have any other solutions how to solve the task? Maybe we lost something? Can we deploy a cluster of ATG instances that will communicate between each other?

Yes ATG system can have multiple nodes grouped in one or more clusters managed by load balencer
If the services you are talking about are inherently ATG services like login, add to cart, checkout then its better to implement it with ATG.
ATG provides and support both REST and SOAP based Webservice and allows you to expose any ATG component as service thus making it available outside ATG space.
To be able to manage load better you can split your servers to page serving servers and services oriented servers and place them into multiple clusters.
Though I haven't seen anyone using this kind of topology so not sure whether it's there is any challenge in setting up this topology.

Buggy iTunes can't merge CD1 and CD2 into one

Macbook pro 13" 4GB ram 500GB HD. OS X Yosemite with latest iTunes.
I am ripping two CDs of same album into ALAC format. I encounter problem when I group them into one album.
1. Change album name from "XXXXX [Disc1]" and "XXXXX [Disc2] into same name "XXXXX", the "XXXXX [Disc 2]" in picture 1 doesn't change at all after ok pressed;
2. When I delete in an album the 3rd item content (composer?), picture 2 error appears.

Having restart the iTunes, all songs but the last one in CD2 are merged into CD1. So what should I do to the last song?

Dear Forum,
I would like to take face pictures and split the faces in half. After that, I would like to use the left side of the face and match it to the reverse left side face together(having 2 left sides which will look like a normal face after the 2 sides will be brought together).
So:
1. picture of a human face (head)
2. slipt the face in half
3. remove the right side
4. highlight the left side and make a reverse image
5. put together the real left side and the reverse left side in one face
How that is possible with Photoshop?

In Reporting Services, if we set the CanGrow property of the textbox to True, than if the length of the text is too long, it will break into next line base on the width of the textbox. We needn't write expression to let the text break into next line
manually.

First step is set the SCREEN TYPE as "Modal Dialog Box" in screen property tab.
Then in PBO of the popup screen take a new GUI status and select DIALOG BOX as status type.
Then assign some function code in 'X' button say 'CANCEL'.

How to split a PE1 project into two smaller projects?

I have a 1hr 36 min. project in PE1. I want to split it into two different projects of about 48 min. each and burn two DVDs. My intent is to get a better MPEG resolution for these smaller projects.
Can I select half of the timeline, cut it and paste it into a new project? Would the effects be preserved? I have a week of work invested in this project and I don’t want to screw it up!

Welcome to the forum.
I agree with both Neale and Steve, though it might at first appear that they are saying two different things.
The bit-rate in the Transcoding to MPEG-2 will be determined by the Duration of the Timeline and the capacity of the blank media, whether DVD-5, or DVD-9. In most versions of PrE, this bit-rate will be a function of the Quality Slider, but the ultimate bit-rate for the combined video and audio is set in the DVD-specs. One cannot exceed about 8 b/s.
Now, with your Duration, there might be a very slight increase in the bit-rate, were you to take Neale's advice and break your Project into two parts, however, I think that his advice to study the result of your entire Timeline is good, as I doubt that one could tell the differences, unless you have a great deal of fast motion, of either the camera, or the subject, and then it's likely that the quality would appear to be the same to the human eye.
Steve is correct in that the result will have to be within the DVD-specs, and will only be 720x480, at up to that max. bit-rate. That is as good as it gets.
For the ultimate test, I would take Neale's suggestion on Burning to Folder one step further. Once that is done, you can first test your Project with a DVD software program on your computer. BUT, be aware that you are viewing on a higher-rez, progressive computer monitor, and its rez will exceed that of a TV and that of a DVD-Video disc. Thus, it is not a perfect test. To get an idea of how the DVD will look on a set-top player, hooked to a TV, you can either, also burn to a DVD RW (rewritable disc) to test on a set-top player, or you can use the free burning utility, ImgBurn, to burn to a DVD RW and test. The reason for the Rewritable media is so that you can reuse it for testing. You will NOT be using this disc for delivery, but just for testing. Now, if you feel that very slight decrease in bit-rate is noticed, you can go back to his suggestion on how to split the Project, and then produce a multi-disc. set for the Project.
Also, the ultimate quality and also playability of the DVD-Video will be enhanced if you use quality blank media. I strongly recommend Verbatim, or Taiyo Yuden blank media. Brands like Memorex, TDK, recent Ritek and ALL "store-brands," are to be avoided. One is also best served by buying slower speed media, as PrE will measure the speed of the media and the speed of the drive and try to get you the fastest possible burn. It does not allow you to set the speed of the burn manually. Most people feel that stepping down from a max. burn speed produces a better DVD. I routinely will drop the burn speed (in other software) to about 1/2 of the max., and have had thousands of perfect DVD's. One can set the burn speed in the above mentioned ImgBurn utility.
To distill the above: try it and see if your Project isn't perfect now, and if not, then break it apart into two segments. I doubt that you could tell the difference.

Font has 3 constants for the style: BOLD, ITALIC and PLAIN;
We can construct an Font instance like that:
Font font = new Font(null, Font.BOLD | Font.ITALIC);
The constuctor allow us to mix of the constants.
Can anybody guide me how to split the BOLD and ITALIC ? I wanna to declare few constants and allow user to mix of some of them.

I put it simpler,
I've few constants to describe Apple:
size (BIG, SMALL), color (RED, GREEN) and etc.
There is one method "setDescribe(int d)", u can code like that "setDescribe(RED | BIG)".
Then, how to split the parameter " i " and retrieve RED and BIG from it ?
