How to split words alone from text ?

how to split the text from a text file even with out the special characters to be stored to DB.I have seperated words using split.but it is having special charecters. is there any option with split to give special characters too as delimiters (i mean multilple delimiters).
Or any other way to get the words and integers alone?

Yes, how to split words in two arrays depending of the first letter.
I have a string array with some words, and I need to separe this array into two differents string arrays depending of the first letter:
if the word starts in A to M the word goes to array Words_AM;
if the word starts in N to Z the word goes to array Words_NZ;
Now I'm doing the next:
if ((ArrayWord.charAt(0))<='a') && (ArrayWord.charAt(0)>='m')) {
Words_AM]=ArrayWord;
else
Words_NZ[i]]=ArrayWord;
But doesn't work.
Any solution?

Yes , that's true. But also I have to change the <='a' to <'a', because of with first option didn't selecting the a letter.
But with z letter, doing the same before, doens't run.

Are you reading the text from a file or is it stored in a string buffer?
The best way would be to use a StringTokenizer assuming that all your words are separated by a space ' ' you could use that as your delimiter.
Something like..
String text = "This is just a bunch of text stored as a string.";
StringTokenizer words = new StringTokenizer( text, " ", false );
int numberOfWords = words.countTokens();I hope that helps,

You need to extract salient terms (e.g. people or product names) from your text documents by using the text enrichment or the text tagger component.
This step will generate new attributes, which can be used in your tag cloud.

How to find largest number from text file

I am using the "Read from text file" block to read the data from my .txt file into labview. It is now in string format. I have many numbers in the file.
For example:
0.45
0.35
0.12
1.354
1.56
2.89
5.89
0.56
That is what a text file might look like. I want to find which of these numbers is largest, and do calculations with that number. I am having trouble with strings/number formats/arrays, etc. Thanks

I want to generate Word documnet from JSP. I am using Neva objects to generate Word document. Now my problem is Word doc generation code works alright as a Java application but when I place that piece of code in a JSP bean it throws an exception. The reason seems to be unavailibility of DLLs and other files of Neva in Tomcat environment. I do not want to use other complex packages like JIntegra, I would prefer any freeware solution. There is not much info. about Word document generation on POI project in Jakarta site.
Could anyone suggest way out ? Any Java examples doing the same would be of great help.

I have tried that too. Problem with that solution is that if you have used CSS in your JSP code MS word does not understand it and generates word doc which is not the same as HTML which JSP otherwise would have generated.

How do I block people from texting me in "iMessage" / "Messages" on the iPad?

People are "texting" me on my iPad and I can't make it stop. HELP!!
I can't believe ... I'm absolutely dumb-founded ... that Apple provides no way to block harassing users. This is NOT related to a wireless/cellular carrier, this is on my wifi-only iPad.

You really have to wonder why the feature of blocking someone is not available. It would be simple to implement. Harrassing text messages, imessages, whatever you want to call them give an abuser a way to contact someone who does not want any contact. This can result in psychological damage, even in some cases suicide. If I am receiving unwanted messages from someone, I don't see why I can't just hit a button that says block. The message then can be diverted to a folder, and if I want to unblock them I should be allowed. There is not one reason I can imagine why I should not have this power. It's ridiculous and unfortunate that in this age of bullying and stalking, we aren't allowed this modicum of control over our privacy. So just when you think you have forgotten someone, or someone you love has finally removed an abusive person from their lives and moved on, all that person has to do is suddenly decide to text you day and night so that you cannot do anything but think about them. Why oh why is there no block messages from this person button as there is in virtually every social networking website? I am flabbergasted. And of course if you have a data plan and someone wants to send you spam, they can actually eat into your data usage against your will. I have to deny my family the ability to send me iMessages by completely disabling it because one nutcase won't leave me alone? Again, where is our control over our privacy? I'm frustrated over this issue, and after seeing what happened to Amanda Todd I don't see why it's not mandatory that this feature be added to every instant messaging platform. "Block User" I'm completely blown away now that I've researched this issue and I hope other people rally behind a change. How hard would it be for a 45kb update to iMessage with the ability to block users? Someday Apple is going to get sued when something terrible happens all because they refused to listen to reason. We need cotrol of our lives, and especially where teenagers are concerned. They need to be able to block unwanted attention from people who found a way into their personal lives. Go to youtube and look up Amanda Todd. It's tragic and Apple is going to do nothing about it. PDEWordFinder is the usual method for getting words and co-ordinates.
PDFEdit is not usually used, it is not suitable for getting text.
It is very hard work to make the two worlds work together (e.g. to

create a slide with all the text boxes in place
duplicate the slide as many times as you have text boxes you want to change colour
on the second slide, change the colour of one of the text boxes as required
on the first slide, select one of the text boxes
open the inspector: Inspector > Hyperlink >
enable as hyperlink > link to slide > click slide button > select the correct slide from the drop down menu
in play mode, clicking on the hyperlink will display the appropriate slide with that text changing colour
repeate the process for each text box

What is a "short code" and how do I stop them from texting me?

I started getting texts from what is apparently a short code in December. Now I am getting them daily.
I really need this to stop. And yes, I tried replying "stop" and that hasn't helped.

This sounds as if it is related to an app you had installed and then un-installed but are still receiving push notifications. This is sometimes how apps are able to get push notifications for their apps. The app signs your phone up for texting notifications to let the app know when there are updates, such as posts or status updates. Sometimes when the app is un-installed, it does not correctly remove the notification procedure. Sometimes the app does not correctly intercept the text which is what it is supposed to do before you get the notification that you have a new text. These do not normally show up in your text log and you are not charged for them.
You may have to call CS to have this stopped. You can also check online for other methods as one example of a quick google search for "short code 6250"

How to plot a graph from text file?

This is driving me nuts!
I would like to plot a list of numbers in a text file to a graph. Each munber is on a new line, like this -

etc.
I managed to import the file and split it with the 'Spreadsheet to array' function but can't get much further than that.
Help would be much appriciated.

You just need to use the Read From Spreadsheet function and wire a 'True' to the transpose input. Wire the 1D array output to a graph.

it should print "ello"
menas mid is functiuon it will split "HelloWorld" from 2nd character to 5th character and prints "ello".
