How to start building new screens in ORPOS 13.0.2

Hi All,
I am very new to ORPOS UI implementation/customization.
I am in process of customization/ changing the UI for POS Client.
Read the Operation Guide and it is very useful to start with.
But I am facing difficulties in setting my Eclipse to run the application :(
Following are the steps performed by me: -
1. Downloaded the source code
2. Loaded all the directories from the source code in Eclipse
3. Compiled the source. Got 1000's of errors.
4. Added the jars in the same order as mentioned in the operation guide.
5. Still the same. Not able to proceed further.
Someone please help me on how to set up my Eclipse to run the ORPOS Client application.
What are all the directories to be loaded in the Eclipse for UI development and running the application(TierLoader class) ?
Please provide me your expert advice and help me in getting started with ORPOS development.

i was advised to create a similar functionality that FM: 'TRM_POPUP_TEXT_INPUT' is producing.
the pop up screen is similar to my requirement where i have to input a text.
i wanted to avoid that suggestion because recreating an FM is none of my capability yet.
if there really is a way to do it, that is not time consuming... i would go for it.
initially, what i have in mind is:

that makes 201 NOT part or NON existing in MPnnnn00.

Here's an SCN tip for you: if you post multiple questions on the same topic and get detailed answers, then you should mark the questions answered and award some points (where merited).
Otherwise - eventually - no one will respond!
Anyway, onto your question. I personally think the best avenue of attack is to:
- join an organization that is already running SAP, even if it is in some junior position
- make it clear that you are very interested in SAP SD and are willing to do all the training etc yourself
- grab every opportunity you can to learn SAP SD on-the-job
There is little point getting certified if you have no experience. I don't think it improves your chances of getting a job (and it can be quite expensive).
Anyway, just my opinion! Good luck.

As when I press enter it send the message, and what i want is to add a new line to start a new sentence before sending it !!!

You can't currently do this in BBM or SMS. Maybe this will be added in a future update.
As a workaround, you could type what you need in Docs To Go, and then copy and paste it into BBM or SMS.

Hi, I'm looking to start a news letter on my site. I have the
email addresses of the users that want to receive the news letters
however, I need to figure out how to program a page that would send
the same email to all the email addresses saved in my database.

As always, there are several solutions to the problem. A
simple one is:
1. Create a table with the newsletter texts (so that the
users can add new newsletters and send them out)
2. Make a query with the users to receive the newsletter
3. Make a query with the text you want to send out
4. Use CFMAIL with a query attribute to loop through the
query with the users
5. Within the body of the CFMAIL tag display the content of
the newsletter text to be added to the email
I'm sure there other and better practices out there - but
that's one that will work well for a smaller scale project. Don't
forget error catching as cfmail will fail if the email address is
in an invalid format (i.e. thisHasA [email protected]).

Check the PAPI Javadoc & Samples in the [enterprise_install_dir]/client/papi/ directory.
Basically, you must:
a) create a Process Service object
service = ProcessService.create(properties);
b) create a PAPI session with a participant
session = service.createSession(user, pass, "localhost");
c) create an instance:
instance = session.createProcessInstance("/Orders", "BeginIn", arguments);
d) destroy the session
session.close();

how do i start the screen sharing?

ok, i'm confused... i can connect to my G5 at work with "chicken of the VNC" from home (with vpn), which i've been using for some years. i was able to connect to my work G5 when i was at work with apples screen sharing. but i now from home, cannot connect yet with apples "screen sharing"... when i start the "screen sharing" it gives me a dialog box that says "ask permisson" Yes/No. neither seemed to work... "no" says i'm not authorized. yes, obviously opens a dialog box on my remote 5G asking to allow opening a connection...
the only way i could get in was to start the "screen sharing" software, start the connection to my G5, then select "yes" for ask permission. then connect w/ chicken of the vnc, login to my screen saver, and select the "yes, allow" in the dialog box on my desktop... then "screen sharing" let me in...
why can i get in directly w/ "chicken", but not with "screen sharing"?? i thought apples "screen sharing" was there implementation of VNC, no?
the "screen sharing" is also very strange, because for those times when it didn't connect, it just left a hung dialog box with a spinning wheel that i couldn't close... using the pop-up menu from the doc was the only way to do a quit, but the dialog box never goes away... this is with my new macbook on 10.5.3 and my G5 which has 10.4.11...
ok, i've tried a few times and now see that the dialog box on my remote G5 says "unknown user" is requesting permission... but i'm typing in my account name and password in the "screen sharing"... i wonder i if this has something to do with the vpn connection.. vpn is connected during all of this... but i wonder if it is cause the account name to get lost... like i said, when i was at work on the work network, the "screen sharing" worked seamlessly... this may also have something to do with why when i use the "connect" then "browse", the "screen sharing doesn't show up as an option from home, like it does at work...
any clues?

Hi! As long as I know, you cannot install SDK. The best thing to do is to explore sample projects - and then modify them for your own purpose.

How to start a new session

Our apps use the NTLM single sign-on with the page sentry code posted on this forum. But there are some authorization schemes that run once-per-session and use some session state that is established in the post-authentication block of the authentication scheme.
Short of closing all browser windows and re-launching the app, is there some way in Apex to get a new session, similar to logging out and logging in? I see that the APP keyword in the f?p= URL's purge-cache position clears out all session state but it retains the session id so it doesn't address the issue I mention above.

Yes, but they can invoke a stored procedure. As you mentioned the Navigation Bar, you should hover over the ‘logout’ entry of the Application Builder Navigation Bar and see how it invokes the logout procedure. You can do something similar with your own procedure, which will invoke all the necessary procedures to complete the full cycle you need.
