    Plz help if possible...
    Thanks alot..

    hi dear,
I think wht u do is place a "Form feed" char on the first line of your report
and make sure it has property "print object on" set to "first page"
so as and when u startyour printing it will make a form feed and your first page will
be printed with nothing and print starts from 2nd page....

  • How do I print a sheet of different address labels?

How do I print a sheet of different address labels?

I've just upgraded to Mountain Lion on my iMac. Here's what I've found.
To print labels, select the addresses you want to print using Contacts.
Go to File>Print. In the resulting dialog box, click on Show Details.
In the middle of the resulting box, click on Style and select 'labels'.
Just below the Style entry are Layout and Label. Select them in turn to choose
the details you want, including the type of label you'll use. I use the Avery 5160
and select it for the proper format.
Turn on your printer, insert a full sheet of labels and print.
Note: I have yet to figure out how to start printing on any label besides
number 1. Because of this problem, I don't use Contacts to print labels,
I usually use an old Palm program, now gone in Mountain Lion, or
pearLabelizer, a free program I got on the 'net.

  • About Print Workbench

    Hi guru's,
I am implementing SAP LSO recently. I want to use the Print Workbench(Collections) to create an email with a Attachment(NOT PDF Format). How can I do that?
    for example:
When learner book a course, system will send a email(with attachment in outlook appointment format) to him/her.
I add two smartforms in the Collections, one is email content, the other is outlook appointment file content, I set the Attachment indicator in the outlook appointment file content smartform in the Collections, but when I received the email, the attachment is PDF format. How can I change the format of the attachment or is there any way to do so?(BADI?)
    Thank you!

  • Print Workbench tool

    Hi guru's,
newly i Print workbench objects, i con't understand the scenario of the Form class, Application form, User exit include, User top include and how can pass the data from Application form to smartfrom.
how can we enhance the user top include and user exit include.
Plea let me know the full information with example (if its possible)
    Regards,
    sri.

PWB : Form class is a Template or a class or an object .
We will enhance this object by creating Application form.(Ex: Badi we are implementing rite).
Start-Exit :  We will initialize the objects....Like clearing the variables like this
End Exit  :  We write code for creating a flat file or RDI file
Next there are three main user exits for our Business Scenarios
Don't write Select queries in PWB, most of the data it will come by running the application form. Select the node and see the structure it will come data through these structures. If you are not finding your required fields then write the select query.
Before Loop: if you want to modify your internal table before loop you can modify in this user exit.
After Loop: Final internal table population
During Loop: For multiple entries for example your node is Table it will have multiple entries. You want that data or you want to manuplate this data you can use this user-exits.

  • LSO RBC with Print Workbench

    Dear Expert,
Can anyone share on any How-to-guide or blog which highlights step by step on how to create RBC correspondence for LSO, especially how the form and application classes are related and used in an Adobe Print Form / Smartform with the Print Workbench ? Thank you.
    Regards
    Kir Chern

As always it is recommended that you search the SAP Help first then when you have specific questions you can post that.  Your question is so broad it is difficult to know where to start to answer it.
Print Workbench is divided into the following subobjects:
    Form Classes
    Application Forms
You can call up the Print Workbench via the area menu PWB.
Form Class- containes the underlying data hierarchy for the application.  The attributes of a form class contain controlling information that is relevant for further processing in the Application Form.  (see example PWB_FLIGHT_NOTIFICATION).  Generally you use one of the standard SAP Form Classes but you can create your own. (Transaction EFCS).  Refer to SAP Help on creating Form Classes and Form Levels.
Application Form -  Consists of properties/attributes, hierarchy, SAPscript/Smart Form, SAPscript text, User Exit Includes, Generated print program.  The hierarchy is determined by the assigned Form Class.  (Transaction EFRM)
You create your SAPScript (or Smart Form) with the necessary windows.
You may enter text directly in the SAPScript (if there are no variables) or you add the text to the appropriate form levels in the Application Form.
At each form level you are able to add user exits - before, during and after looping through the level.
You can also add text exits for the text added.
When you activate the Application Form a print program is generated.
you create a print request which adds the record to the correspondence container (the transaction used depends on what correspondence you are creating) then you go to transaction FPCOPARA to print the correspondence.
This is a high-level overview.  No quick answer to your question other than to once again refer you to the SAP Help.  Hopefully it gives you a place to start.

  • YES! How to make PRINT QUOTAS WORK with 10.4

How to make PRINT QUOTAS WORK in 10.4
After struggling for quite some time, I finally found a pretty simple way to make print quotas work.
First, I’ll tell you our setup. We have 3 different computer centers with a variety of eMacs and new Intel iMacs, all clients are running 10.4.8, and each of those 3 centers has its own HP Laserjet 4200 printer. Our dual G5 server is running Server v.10.4.8. Client computers and printers have static IP addresses. All clients are bound to the server with the standard WorkGroup Manager/ LDAPv3 Directory Access scheme - such that all students login to the clients with their network username/password to mount their home directory on the client.
Next, I’ll tell you what does not work. IF YOU WANT PRINT QUOTAS TO WORK, you cannot use Workgroup Manager to assign a printer to any managed user account, user group, or computer group. Why? Because when you go to a client, and Show Info on the printer that is being pushed by Workgroup Manager, you’ll see that the queue name is not the queue that you’ve setup in Server Admin. Instead, you’ll see the queue name is “MCX” or something along those lines. Even if you manually edit the Workgroup print preference file that is being pushed to clients, it still will not work.
Drawbacks of my technique: In my case, students will see all 3 printers (1 from each lab) available to them no matter which lab they are in. Not the best, but for now I think it’ll be worth it to be able to control wasteful printing. Students may be able to move/delete the preference file (see below), but they’ll only be hurting themselves, as they won’t have any printers at all then.
Okay, here’s how I did it:
    1. If you have setup any printers to be pushed out via Workgroup Manager’s preference enforcement to individual users, usergroups, or computer groups, turn those preferences off and leave them off.
    2. Delete any existing printers in your Printer Setup Utility and/or Server Admin. Add and setup a new printer queue using the Server Admin> Print service. I added the printer through the Server Admin application, not Printer Setup Utility (may not matter). However, I did go into that latter utility to set the model of the printer. Now, back in Server Admin, edit the printer queue to turn on these services IPP, LPR (bonjour off), and of course check off the enforce quotas box. (No student Windows clients, so I didn’t tinker with SMB print service). I went ahead and specified the standard cover sheet – it will be handy while troubleshooting.
    3. In Workgroup Manager, select the users that you want to enforce quotas upon, go to the Printer Quota tab (not the preference pane) and, in my case, I selected All Queues and specified a quota, and clicked Save.
    4. Delete all printers that appear in the Printer Setup Utility from each client computer (I know, UGH).
    5. For all network users, you need to edit a preference file and put it into each user’s home directory. That file is “com.apple.print.favorites.plist” and as you guessed, it needs to go into the Library> Preferences folder of every one of your network users’ home directories. Now, the content of that file is crucial… what it should show is the name of the queue(s) you created in Server Admin above, and be immediately followed by an “@” and the address of the server that is hosting that queue. For example, my queue’s name is TCStudentQ and the server’s address is student.mydomain.org… so my preference file has this entry: [email protected]. If you have more than one queue, you’ll have more entries. Be sure that the network user has at least Read level access under Group or Others. I’d recommend making the server System account the Owner of the file, and be sure to lock the file so the users can’t easily trash it. If you don’t know how to create this file in the first place, what you can do is go to a client computer, and log into the client with a dummy network account. Then open Printer Setup Utility, and you should see the queue you created in step 2. Add that printer, and then the file will be created in your dummy account’s home directory under Library> Preferences. Now you can use that file to distribute to other user’s folders… but don’t forget that each user needs Read level access.
    6. That’s it. Works for me. When they exceed the quota, all that spits out is the cover page. It’d be nice if there was a quota monitor utility on the client side so users can see how many pages they have remaining and when the quota will automatically reset. I plan to start the quota on a Monday morning and go on a weekly duration. Not sure what a good starting point is… perhaps 25 pages every school week.
    7. Hey Apple Computer, Inc. Server Developers & Project Managers, I truly hope you’re reading this and can explain why print quotas don’t function as you have documented and advertised. I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but I’ve spent way too much time discovering this workaround, and I know it will help thousands of others with the same problem. I can see where your Print Quota system breaks down, and I think you need to fix these issues or at least document them. Don’t forget to fix serious 10.4 Server bugs before leaving it behind for 10.5 Server – many of us will continue using 10.4 Server for at least another year or two.

    David,
Your assumption that I didn't read the documentation is incorrect. I read that 10.4 documentation over and over - followed it to the letter to no avail. Perhaps it was updated in the last few weeks? So, do you have a fully operable printer quota system in conjunction with a managed computer or user group that has a managed printer pushed to the group via Workgroup Manager? I can push a managed printer to a managed group without a problem, but the quotas won't be enforced unless I use the workaround above and cut Workgroup Manager's managed/pushed printer out of the picture.
I know this is a user-to-user forum - however, I'm also aware that Apple tech support often chime in here, so it doesn't hurt to post a message to them in the context of a larger posting about a 'known issue'. I have used the server feedback form... hasn't seemed to me to be very helpful in the past.

  • How to transfer printer settings from one Mac to another (both OSX)?

Hello, I have not found a detailed description on how to transfer printer settings from one Mac to another.
My issue is that I have a Mac G5 with 3 different settings saved as "presets" for the same printer. This works great, since the posters I print (on the large format printer) need different margins and different paper at times.
This G5 is basically retired and only used for printing. G5 has OSX 10.3.9
I have a MacPro as its replacement (OSX 10.4.11).
The MacPro has all my apps and other settings setup to my liking.
I found several links via Google saying copy this folder or directory, but I am not sure I did it correctly. I don't see the "presets".
I tried launching the Migration Assistant (I hope that's the correct name), but was concerned the settings on the new MacPro would be overwritten with ALL the old stuff on the older G5. I did not start the transfer process because of this.
If someone would list the steps needed to accomplish the transfer of printer settings or advise if this is possible, then I would be very grateful! The previous user of the G5 I am using was a "Genius" and I don't know how he created these "preset" choices.
    Thanks!

Hi SCChelpdesk, and a warm welcome to the forums!
I found several links via Google saying copy this folder or directory, but I am not sure I did it correctly. I don't see the "presets".
This is the File that holds that info on Tiger, not certain on Panther...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.print.custompresets.plist
After moving, you very well might have to change the Owner's Permissions within Get Info window, then log out/in.
I tried launching the Migration Assistant (I hope that's the correct name), but was concerned the settings on the new MacPro would be overwritten with ALL the old stuff on the older G5. I did not start the transfer process because of this.
MA would transfer the info, but/and, if the user that had that info had the same Shortname as on the new one, it'll demand you give it a new Shortname to use... but then those settings would be transferred to that new user on the new machine. I think the 1st one will work though.
The previous user of the G5 I am using was a "Genius" and I don't know how he created these "preset" choices.
We can go through that way if you like... not all that hard.

  • How can I print my A4 Book now in 8"x10.5"? RESIZE?

    Hello
I have a book about 700 Pages already been printed a couple of times in A4 size,
Now the sponsor can only print it in max 8"x10.5"
This means the entire Book/file needs to be adjusted to this new size  in order to get it printed.
I need to know what is the best option to do this.
Can this be automadet in Indesign or trough the export via printing?
I am very thankful for any help and advice.

I appologize this Forum is confusing to me.
I posted a new question in a new thread.
I am working on a book in Indesign.I have 740 pages in total. I have black and white and color pages meaning Images.I converted the black and white images in Photoshop to Grayscale files, before I imported the imges into in design. As
to reduce printing costs my printer asked me to make sure these single
pages are safed as either color or black and white pages,so the printer will recognice those pages and will print those according to their color/ black and white profile of the images.I thought this will happen automatically since my photos, digital images are either in color or grayscale.Apperently this did not happen. My printer just told me all pages are having color profiles. So I wonder is there a way in Indesign to give single seperate pages of my bookdifferent
color or b/w profiles? so the printer who will recieve a PDF from me
does prints bacl and white in a black and white modus.

Rather than ask you for more details here, I'm going to suggest that this is so far from related to the original question that you should start a new thread. tellus exactly what you mean by "single color pages," whether you mean convert for final output and wish to leave the color intact in the document during editing or for multipurposing, the version of ID, etc.

How can I print directly out of Pages on my iPad if my Brother printer is not airprint compatible? I currently have a Brother MFC-J615W and have downloaded the Brother iPrint app; but that only works with pictures and PDFs it seems.  I know I can use the cloud to transfer and just print from my macbook, but I am starting school and would love to cut out that middle step if possible.  I know... how lazy is that? But I feel like I should be able to make it work with a little ingenuity.  Thanks for any info you can provide.
