How to style a GridPane Colomn or row using CSS ?

Hi,
I would like to style a Grid pane column using CSS. I found possible styling the entire GridPane using " -fx-border-color:yellow; -fx-border-insets:5; -fx-border-width:3;" for example. But is there a way of styling a single row or a single column?
For example, let's say I want a yellow border on my last column, does anyone has a clue ?
Thanks.
Seb

  • How do I scale a lot of images using CSS in HTML5 and CSS3

    I have a CSS image gallery that displays a larger photo with descriptive text below it, when a thumbnail image is hovered on.
    Each photo has code like that following:
    <a class="thumbnail" >
    <img src="thumbs1/paradethumbs/DSC_0073.jpg" alt="thumbnail picture" />
    <span><img src="pics1/paradepics/DSC_0073.jpg" alt=" " /><br /> 19 - a black faced sheep.</span>
    </a>
    The first source is a thumbnail,  image stored at a size of 72 by 48.
    The second source is an image stored at 600 x 400.
    When the thunbnail is hovered on, the larger photo is displayed at its full size using css.
    There are 20 or so thumbnails in this gallery, and different numbers in other galleries that use the same code.
    The example above is number 19 from 20.
    This works fine on tablets and larger displays.
    When I wish to show it on an Iphone or similar, with a display that is 480 or less wide, I need to scale the larger photo down to 300 wide.
    As the Iphone will have a lower quality of image than a larger display, it will not matter too much if the 600x400 photo is scaled down, and having tried it by giving it an ID with CSS like
    #imagescale{ width:300px; } it looks acceptable. However, as IDs are supposed to be unique, then thats a no go area for the remaining photos.
    My problem is how do I select the second image source shown in bold above, and scale it and the span text by 50%.
    The text is not too important as it can be changed to fit - the image is the main problem.
    I need someting like "if the display is less than 600 and the image is in the pics directory, display it at 300 wide".
    The browser will hopefully  take care of the height.
    Any suggestiosn would be appreciated.

    Thanks Nancy. The general idea and the link to the article helped a lot.
    However, the css using using a percentage had unpredictable results when selecting repeated images.
    The first one scales to 50% and then the next scales to 50% of the last one (25%)  and so on ad infinitum, unless you click on another object that is not an image.
    Using a pixel size like 280px rather than a percentage did the trick, but it also involved changing lots of other items before I could get everything to fit.
    Now I have a better knowledge of media queries and how to set them up.
    Best of all, all my image galleries work fine just using css and html. Never thought that would happen.
    Take five stars!
    And the same to David Powers for his great article.

  • How Do I Present Result of Multiple Rows Using JavaBean

    How do I present to my users multiple rows that returned by a query using JavaBean?

    Well you're getting everything back in a ResultSet, right? It's not really a good idea to do much with that ResultSet beyond taking all the data it contains and sticking it in some other sort of data structure. ResultSets rely on a connection to retrieve the data, and once the connection is lost, so is the data they contain.
    So, if you have a ResultSet that contains the results of a query on a table, let's say Users, then you could put the results into a collection of some sort.. Vector maybe... and return that Vector. Then you could loop through your Vector to display multiple rows to the user.

    I have a set of static HTML files. They are nicely formatted using a single style sheet. They interlink. I would like a way to generate a single PDF file from that set of HTML files that preserves the links (of course, they would all link within the single generated PDF because they would not longer be separate files as a PDF). I would also like to preserve the formatting from the CSS so it doesn't look generic. I own CS3 but don't know which tool to use for this, if any. Which tool would I use for this?

  • How can I limit the number of rows in Oracle?

    Hi All,
    I am using very complex query where I join 6 table to fetch data from database.
    I have requirement like fetching a first 10000 row and then fetching another records after 10000 and so on.
    I just want to know how to fetch a limited number of rows using sql query. Moreover, I also want to know how to calculate the total number of row (alternative of count method because I don't want to query the database twice because its affect the performance).
    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    SunnyThis smells like a very fishy requirement based on a fundamental misunderstanding of how Oracle works. Could you explain why you want to arbitrarily limit the result set to 1000 rows? What will happen between that and getting the "next" 1000? What triggers getting the "next" 1000? and how do you define "next", since there is no ordering in a heap table.
    I suspect we can make that requirement go away be presenting a better approach to the real issue.

  • How do I change the style of a subset of rows inside a Datagrid?

    How do I change the style of a subset of rows inside a
    Datagrid? I have tried dgExample.selectedItem.fontWeight="bold" but
    that does not work. What should I do?
    Please help.

    I see where you mean but I'm not familiar with the 'language'
    of CSS. Currently, the background of the body (or probably the div
    container) is set to none on this page. So visually, I have a white
    background with black letters. I want to place a gradient image in
    this container instead of the 'none'. The coding with "none isn't
    even the CSS code because I vaguely remember deleted it because I
    thought I would never need it. So can you tell the CSS code I need
    to place this image in the #container (I think that's where it
    should go) and where? Thanks. I've included the little piece of
    code where I think it should go in somewhere. Thanks for the help.

  • How put a border round a table row?

    I have a simple table, and want to put a border round each row - for some reason nothing I do works.  I would also like a large space between rows than between the individual cells but again can't work out how to do it.
    Can anyone help?

    Just to close this thread, I'll show how I would do it -
    <style type="text/css">
    table {
         border-collapse:collapse;
    .row td, .row th {
         border:solid #000;
         border-width:1px;
    .row td+td {
         border-right:none;
         border-left:none;
    .row td.last {
         border-right:1px solid #000;
    .row>td {
    border-right:none;
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <table>
         <tr class="row">
              <td>asdfg</td>
              <td>asdfg</td>
           <td>asdfg</td>
              <td class="last">asdfg</td>
         </tr>
    </table>
    </body>
    This is interesting because it illustrates the use of the adjacent siblings selector and the first descendent selector.  What's slick is if you know how many cells there are in the row, you could do it this way and bypass the creation of that extra class selector (td.last) -
    <style type="text/css">
    table {
         border-collapse:collapse;
    .row td, .row th {
         border:solid #000;
         border-width:1px;
    .row td+td {
         border-right:none;
         border-left:none;
    .row td+td+td+td {
         border-right:1px solid #000;
    .row>td {
    border-right:none;
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <table>
         <tr class="row">
              <td>asdfg</td>
              <td>asdfg</td>
           <td>asdfg</td>
              <td class="last">asdfg</td>
         </tr>
    </table>
    </body>

  • How do I limit the number of rows retrieved at a time using RefCursor?

    I have a PL/SQL package in use, that returns a REF CURSOR. This is currently being used in a Forms 6i application. Now I want to develop an ASP.NET web application that displays exactly the same information as my Forms 6i module. In fact those two applications will be used concurrently for a while.
    I looked at the sample code provided on otn.oracle.com and decided to use the OracleDataAdapter.Fill()-method to fill a dataset and bind that dataset to a pageable GridView. Now I wonder, whether this method retrieves ALL records of the query at once and how I can limit the number of rows fetched? The Select statement retrieves up to 10000 rows at a time. Most of the time, a user is only interested in the first 20-30 rows. Forms 6i fetches more rows as the user scrolls down, how can I implement the same behavior in ODP.NET?
    - Markus

    Excuse me, but the reply does not quite answer my question. Maybe I did not explain my concerns clear enough:
    I understand the use of the two properties (RowSize and FetchSize) to reduce the amount of round trips needed to transfer the data - not the number of rows fetched in total. This would still lead to a situation where all rows are transferred, when I am using the OracleDataAdapter.Fill()-Method. Is this correct or did I misunderstand the function of this method?
    I quote the otherwise really helpful article you send me:
    Of course, there is a cost if the fetch size is arbitrarily large. More client-side memory and processor cycles will be needed to store and manage a larger amount of data. The goal is to find a high-performing balance between the number of round trips and the amount of data retrieved per trip.
    My RowSize is for sure a bit larger than the one in the given example. The query will probably be used by up to 100 users at a time, so I would like to limit the resource-costs not only on the network by the number of round trips, but also on the web-server which is storing all these records in it's memory per user-request.

    you need to do 4 things.
    1. Add a field in your final internal table which ur going to display.
    2.Name the field as----
    > color_line(4)   TYPE  c,
                begin of itab,
                              matnr            type  mara-matnr,
                              ernam          type  mara-ernam,
                           color_line(4)   TYPE  c,
               end of itab.
    3.declare layout ....................> data :  it_layout   TYPE lvc_s_layo.
    4. After filled your fieldcat and before display your ALV
            loop at itab assigning to <itab>.
                          if <itab>-ernam eq 'XYZ'.
                          <itab>-color_line = 'C600'.
           end loop.
    it_layout-info_fname = 'COLOR_LINE'.
    CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY'
    exporting
        IS_LAYOUT                      = it_layout
        IT_FIELDCAT                    = your_fieldcat
      and pass ur  ITAB.
