How to submit an input dynamically to an sql script in a shell script

Dear all,
I have a shell script myscript.sh, in that I am running an sql script , say mysql.sql, the sql script prompts for a value, and I have to type that prompted value to run the script. How can I give this value in my shell script itself.
Sample script

echo "script starting at $(date)"
sqlplus apps/apps @mysql.sql
echo "script completed at $(date)"

Dynamic Update Queries - SQL Script

I have a table Account_info where columns are ACCT_NO and flag with other information (columns). We are receving a file which contains ACCT_NO and FLAG. Now i need to compare ACCT_NO for Table and file and based on it need to update FLAG column in table.
To automate this process, i can develop a shell script, which load data from file to temp table and then update statement to update Account_info table. For batch process, i can write a for loop, which commit data after every 10,000 update.
but client does not want this way. We have to send file to Production team, where they will load data manually into temp table.
Once done, i have to write a update statement which will take 10000 records to update on every run and then commit it, so there will not be space/memory issue.
For example, if table has 50,000 records, i have to create 5 update statement. and then i have to send all 5 queries as sql script and send it to Production support.
It is difficult for me to do it daily.
Is there any other way, where SQL script is dynamic and based on number of rows/10000 , it create UPDATE statement and run it daily.

How can I get rid of the hard coded PATH statement and feed script based upon text file input.

OK, I was mistaken a bit on what I originally told you. After you run the command of
$myFile = Import-Csv -Delimiter '~' -Path $path -Header Path, ShortName
$myFile is actually an array of PSCustomObjects, so you cannot access it like $myFile.Path, you will actually have to loop through the $myFile first, so try changing your script to be the following and see if that helps any

Also looking at your script, you said your text file contained the format of <filePath>~<shortname> but I see you doing a $myFile.Pathisstem.log, where does the Pathisstem.log come from?

I have to pass the 4 different values to the sql file and each time i pass the value it has to generate the txt file for that value like wise it has to generate the 4 files at each run.

Can you please more elaberate., perhaps you should more elaberate.
sqlplus is a program. you start it from the korn shell. when it's finished, processing control returns to the korn shell. the korn shell and sqlplus do not communicate back and forth.
so "spool the output from .sql file to some txt file from k shell, while passing the input parameters to the sql file from korn shell" makes no sense.

In the above report first column and the last columns are fixed and the other columns are dynamic depending upon the input selection:
if input selection is Normal and RDO then only 2 columns w'd be created and the other 2 fixed columns.
Can anybody help me how do I design such report....

According to your description that you want to dynamically increase and decrease the numbers of the columns in the table, right?
As Jason A Long mentioned that we can use the matrix to do this and put the year field in the column group, amount fields(Numric values) in the details, add an filter to filter the data base on this column group, but if
the data in the DB not suitable to add to the matrix directly, you can use the unpivot function to turn the column name of year to a single row and then you can add it in the column group.
If there are too many columns in the column group, it will fit the page size automatically and display the extra columns in the next page.

How to change the image dynamically depend upon the input parameter

I have one report running depend upon the Organization specific, I have 15 operating unit and 15 different logo for each operating unit.
How to change the Logo dynamically depend upon the input passed by the user.
If I have three or four logo i can add in my layout using if else statement and its works fine but i have more that 10 logos so its no possible to keep these in My RTF Template.
Is it possible to change the logo according to the input without keeping this in Template.

How to submit data from multiple Input Ports in single SUBMIT button click

Hi,
I am in SPS8.
What exactly steps I need to perform to submit data from multiple Input Ports.
I couldn't able to submit One input Form and one Input Table to BAPI data service in single SUBMIT button click.
I debugged the VC application in SPS8.
While debugging, I found that when I click the SUBMIT button in the Input Form, Only data in that Input
form are being passed to the BAPI, But not the Table Form data.
If I click on the SUBMIT button in another Input Table, Only data from that table is being passed to the BAPI, but not the Input form data.
Essentially I need to submit both of them in one SUBMIT button.

From the word document that you sent to me the steps you are missing to map the appropriate information into the BAPI is first you are not mapping all data rows into the table input port. To do this double click on the input table view and change your selection mode from single to multiple. Then when you click on your link between the BAPI and your input table you will see a new option appears under data mapping "Mapping Scope" select All Data Rows.
That's the first part of the problem to get the BAPI to recognize both the inputs coming from the form and the table eliminate the submit button from the form. Drag and drop a link from the output port of the table view to the Input port of the BAPI. Double click on the link between the BAPI and the table view and open the expressions editor for the two fields:
1/ Automatic Source
2/ SKIP_ITEMS_WITH_ERROR
On the hierarchical folder structure on the right expand expand the Data Fields node to find the fields from the form and map them accordingly.
Now when you hit the submit button on your table it should pass the BAPI all the parameters from both the form and the table.

OAPageLayoutBean pagelayout=(OAPageLayoutBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("PageLayoutRN");If your code is for top most controller of page, above line possibly returns null because webBean itself is "PageLayoutRN" so no other child with "PageLayoutRN".
please use webBean.addIndexedChild as told by gaurav.
In case the above controller is not associated with pageLayout region and the need is to add the new child under pageLayout then use pageContext.getPageLayoutBean().
Optionally you can just replace quoted line in your existing code with this one and that should work.

Startrfc - how to call with "input table"?

I have not been able to get sapnwrfc for Perl to compile correctly on my AIX systems so i want to try something different.
I started to investigate using startrfc to get my data but am running in to a problem.
Problem Summary: I want to get information via RFC_READ_TABLE using startrfc. I can successfully call function modules but cannot figure out how to send in a "WHERE" clause using startrfc. Does anyone know how to send "input tables" to startrfc so that I can limit my results?
Background: I want to dump a list of the dialog UIDs in a SID/client. When I do RFC_READ_TABLE via SE37, it asks for an "OPTIONS" input table that you use to put the "WHERE" clause. I fill in the information in the "TEXT" field and all is well.
I can call startrfc with the -T option and capture the output to a file, but I cannot figure out how to use an input file to provide the OPTIONS table. -E doesn't work.
Here is what I call:
/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS60/exe/startrfc -t -3 -h <hostname> -s 60 -c 000 -l E -u <my id> -p <my password> -F RFC_READ_TABLE -E QUERY_TABLE=USR02 -E "DELIMITER=|" -T DATA,1000,w=output.txt -T OPTIONS,100,r=input.txt
My input file (input.txt) looks like:

Here is the error message I get when I run this.

Message     A dynamically specified column name is unknown.
Note that I know that there are other functions to check for existence. I am attempting to get a dump of all dialog users with some information from USR02 not normally provided by the builtin function modules (ERDAT). This is just the first step to getting there. Once I have this figured out, I'll send in a "*" to match all. Also, I am able to do this sort of successfully via Perl's sapnwrfc but am unable to get it compile on AIX and that is where I need to run this.
Can anyone help?

For Exam My requirement is we will take employee details node under node empid, name, sal etc some attributes is here
Client asking like this enter multiple inputs at a time that data will saved in ECC System.
1.     By using form how can enter enter multiple inputs at a time I donu2019t this so I will take table(here I will select input fileds). If any possible in form also tell me how I can enter multiple inputs at a time.
In table suppose 6 rows available So He will enter
                         empid, name, sal ,firstname, last Name
                         empid, name, sal ,firstname, last Name
                         empid, name, sal ,firstname, last Name
Like 6 time Click Submit. That data will save in ECC.
So I was taken table. But in that Table only first row will be editable. I want all 6 will editable that time he will put data in rows then click on submit.
How to editable these remaining rows? if u have any documents pls send me.

Dear Vijay,
To enter multiple inputs in a table and to make the other rows editable you have to provide that node with initial values.
by initial values I mean you have to make that much space in your table node.
For example the name of Node is yourNode & you have empid, name, sal ,firstname, last Name
attributes in that node, and you have to make 6 rows editable.
Then, simply write this code in you wdDoinit() method of your view controller.
IPrivateYourView.IYourNodeElement e ;
for(int i = 0 ; i < 6 ; i++ )
e = wdContext.nodeYourNode().createYourNodeElement();
e.setAttributeValue("empid" , "") ;
e.setAttributeValue("name" , "") ;

wdContext.nodeOverTimeEnty().addElement(e) ;
Change YourView with your view name & YourNode with your node name.

How to add a frame dynamically in a jsp page.

In my application, in a particular jsp page i had the 3 links namely add.edit and delete. When click on add button, it is pointing to another jsp page where i can enter user details. But what i want now is when i click add button, the form in which we fill the user details should be added to the current page itself dynamically i.e., it should not go to another page when i click add button and that form should be displayed in the current page in a new frame dynamically.
The same should happen when i click n edit or delete options. everything should be diaplayed in the same page in different frames.
Can anyone suggest me about how to add a frame dynamically.

You create a frameset with two frames. One frame you give 100% of the rows and run the JSP in this frame. The other frame you give 0% of the row so that it is hidden. In the JSP you use a JavaScript funtion to submit the form. This function will call the parent frameset to reset the row values to 50%/50% which will make the bottom frame visible and then submit the form request with the bottom frame as teh target.
It is not so much as creating frames as using JavaScript to hide and display frames.

how to submit this form within a page flow...
I have a JSP page containing a form with N checkboxes. The value and
checked/unchecked status of each checkbox is generated from parsing an XML
document. Here is the (simplified) code:

I am new to this, but I think this may solve your problem:
I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, but you can create a LinkedHashMap
with the req key/value pairs in the page-calling action in the pageflow and then
pass that via a getRequest().setAttribute("myCheckboxes",myCheckboxHashMap);
You can then access it in code using the optionsDataSource portion of the netui:checkBoxGroup
- ie
<netui:checkBoxGroup dataSource="{actionForm.thisCheckbox}" optionsDataSource="{request.myCheckboxes}">

Whenenever you write dynamic SQL, put the SQL text into a variable. During development, display the variable instead of executing it. If it looks okay, then you can try executing it in addition to displaying it. When you're finished testing, then you can comment out or delete the display.
For example:

PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.This makes it easy to see that you're missing a space after the keyword DATAFILE. There are other errrors, too. For example, the path name has to be inside the quotes with the file name, without a line-feed between them, and the quotes should be single-quotes, not double-quotes.
Is there some reason why you're using PL/SQL? In SQL, you can just say:
CREATE TABLESPACE SRC_TSPACE_INDIA LOGGING
DATAFILE '&Enter_The_Path\SRC_TSPACE_INDI_D1_01.dbf'
SIZE 500M AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 1280K MAXSIZE UNLIMITED
EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL;though I would use an ACCEPT command to given a better prompt.
Given that you want to use PL/SQL, you could assign the value above to sql_txt. If you need a separate PL/SQL variable for flocation, then you can assign it without using dual, for example:
DECLARE
    flocation     VARCHAR2 (300)     := '&Enter_The_Path';The dual table isn't needed very much in PL/SQL.

How do I submit a concurrent request (for PL/SQL program)   from RDF

I have a requirement i need to call a PL/SQL program using concurrent request from Oracle RDF, I am using below code.

If i ran the above rdf i am getting below errors from concurrent request log
ORACLE error 6550 in FDPSTP
Cause: FDPSTP failed due to ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'GEN_ACH'
ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
PL/SQL: Statement ignored
Case :- 2

Looking at the 11.5.10 version of the [Oracle Applications Developer's Guide|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25516_18/current/html/docset.html] on page 21-32 - it states that the FND_REQUEST function must know information about the user and responsibility that is submitting the request. Therefore, the function only works from concurrent programs or forms within Oracle Applications. There are ways around this by initializing this information in your session before your call to SUBMIT_REQUEST. I've never tried this from a Report, but I've done it from PL/SQL that executes outside of Apps. You could try the following to see if it works.

                                   );Obviously, I don't know all of the parameters you need for your request, so I made a "BEST GUESS" based on your code sample so I doubt my example call to Submit_Request will work if you Copy-N-Paste. Make sure you use the correct parameters when you try this in your report.

PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST( F4 ) statement
Code to demonstrate how to perform a manual value help(F4) on a particular field using the PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST statement and how to return values back to a table control on the screen. For standard screen fields simply move the value to the appropriate screen field name.
