hi experts,
i m new to smartform. i made a smartform in which i get the output in a tabular form......
i want to sum a field. how can i get the sum in the footer?

You can use the PROGRAM LINES node to calculate the page totals in Table node.
Table Node has three sections:
Header: (Triggered once in the beginning of a page)
Create a Program lines node to reset the value of TOTAL to 0.
Main Area (For each row of internal table)
Create a Program lines node to add the Value to TOTAL
Footer (Triggered once in the End of a page)
Display the TOTAL
Note: 1) You can declare the TOTAL variable in the GLOBAL Definitions under GLOBAL DATA.
2) In the PROGRAM lines always pass the TOTAL in both INPUT and OUTPUT parameters

Hi Manoj,
it depends: If the values for new fields are passed in any interface structures/tables, just add in the eight context.
If not, you must insert a Program lines node.

How to sum + group bp line items per a specific field?

Hi,
I found out about the SYS Numeric Query Based data definition, allowing me to sum the line items of a BP according to certain conditions.
Now we have a more complex problem. We need to sum the line items of BP1 into the line items of BP2, grouping them by a given field. We know how to auto-create BPs on workflow events conditions, but we don't know how to sum the line items together.
Is there a workaround?

We do not currently support QBDEs on line items so there isn't a way to sum values from other line items onto a line item.

How to Handle Blank Field Value based Condition in SmartForms

Dear Sir,
In SMARTFORM , we need to define a Condition that incase Field Value is not equal to BLANK value (blank means that field is empty) then a specific text gets printed .
Our problem is that We do not know as how to define Empty Field Value based condition .
Had it been Non Empty Field value based condition then solution was simple and could be done in following way :
Field Value                        R                     Comparision Value
WA_KZDKZ                      =                      'X'
In our case , we need to give Blank (Empty Value) instead of 'X' .
Kindly help us pl .

Go to the conditions tab in your SMARTFORM and give condition there
Field                Comparision operator          value
<Field name>      <> Here symbol is diff     space.
eg:
wa_mara-matnr    =/                                   space.

The way to go is hierarchical field names, as it has been said.
What would give you more flexibility, would be to give your element page's fields logical names. This would lead to building blocks, which can be freely combined. Any logic within the building blocks would not change at all, and logic going beyond a block would be straightforward to set up.

You can use the PERFORM command to call an ABAP subroutine
(form) from
any program, subject to the normal ABAP runtime
authorization
checking. You can use such calls to subroutines for
carrying out
calculations, for obtaining data from the database that is
needed at
display or print time, for formatting data, and so on.
PERFORM commands, like all control commands, are executed
when a
document is formatted for display or printing.
Communication between a
subroutine that you call and the document is by way of
symbols whose
values are set in the subroutine.
The system does not execute the PERFORM command within
SAPscript
replace modules, such as TEXT_SYMBOL_REPLACE or
TEXT_INCLUDE_REPLACE.
The replace modules can only replace symbol values or
resolve include
texts, but not interpret SAPscript control commands.
Syntax in a form window:
/: PERFORM <form> IN PROGRAM <prog>
/: USING &INVAR1&
/: USING &INVAR2&
/: CHANGING &OUTVAR1&
/: CHANGING &OUTVAR2&

Creating the Standard Text:
Go to SO10
1. Enter Text Name. For example, ZABC
2. Text ID ST
3. Language EN
Click on Create.
And enter the Required Information and save.
To include a Standard text in SmartForm.
Follow the steps below:
1. Create a text node in the window.
2. Under general attributes select "Include text" as Type.
3. Specify the fields under Text.
Text Name ZABC
Text Object TEXT
Text ID ST
Language EN.

Hi,
U can't change the language in the smartform, the main language of the smartform is the language used to create it (so the language used for SAP log on.
But u can translate it (by trx SE63) and if u need to print in a new language u have to indicate it when the smartform is called.
U can transfer the language to be used for the print in the parameter CONTROL_PARAMETERS, like structure SSFCTRLOP, here u can indicate the language in the field LANGU.

Use transaction SE63, after activate your smartform, to translate.
In the First Page of your Smart Forms click on Global Settings under that click Form Attributes
now in the Right side screen Go to Subscreen Language Attributes.
select the Radiobutton Translate To all Languages
from the Translate subscreen out of three radio buttons.

Setting output length of desired values for a Field in Smartforms.

Hi,
I'm working right now on 4.6c system and I have a field declared as "String" in the Global Definition, on viewing the output in the print preview i find that it is printing only 255 characters while the actual field value is more than that (somewhere around 600+).
Could you please help me out in as to how to declare this particular field in Smartforms.

It looks you are new to PI,
you have to develop scenario end to end, by creating source data type and target data type(if you have XSD's not required),then use Graphical mapping (message mapping) to map source and target structures.
Search in sdn for one end to end scenario you will understand easily

My requirement is, i want to create barcodes which contains material no, serial no, material description and quantity all fields together in a single barcodes.
While scanning how to identify all this different fields. For e.g. from single barcodes how we will identify while scanning which is material no, serial no, material description and quantity.
