I have got to do a disk repair. I'm making sure my backup is correct as I don't want to lose all my precious pics. Lucky I checked as I've just discovered I've got two iPhoto libraries! The one I appear to be using is in the mac folder - where Users folder is, Library, System Folder, Updaters etc. It's the first area you come to when you double click on your mac's symbol in upper right corner.
However, I also have an iPhoto library within a folder which is in my User/Pictures area.
I want to make sure that the iPhoto library I'm using is within my user/pictures folder as it's my user files which are being backed up. However, I don't want to trash the one which is there without looking in it to see what's within. How do I switch between libraries?
If it's empty, I can presumable just bin it then use the recommended technique to move my other library to User\Pictures.

If you use iPhoto LIbrary Manager like Larry suggested it will display the library name in the top iPhoto frame like this:
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Forte 3.0.M.0 - How to distribute user libraries (dll) to nodes?

I am new to Forte. I am having dll's which provide some generic functionalities. I am able to access this dll's in the central server. When I am trying to run the same project in a node, I am getting the following error message.

I am aware that, I need to distribute the user dll's in the node machines. But I dont know how to distribute the dll's. Do help me in this regards.

Hi Simo,
you can modify your LabVIEW-palettes via
Tools -> Advanced -> Edit Palette Set.
I would suggest to save your own VIs in the usr.lib directory - just modify the palette-links.
So you can include your VIs easily in a source-distribution (just one mousclick away) and will not forget your own extensions...

In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.
More On De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
As for transferring your iTunes Library: iTunes- How to move the library to an EHD. Once you have done this take the external drive to your new computer and restore the iTunes data on the new computer.

If you do the steps John said and it still doesn't work. Do it again. But this time close Excel after you disconnet and then reopen Excel. This will work every time.

Try connecting the iPad to the computer that you do not want to WiFi sync with and uncheck the WiFi sync option in iTunes. Then click on Apply. Reboot the iPad and see if that does the trick.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

issue: if i create user in portal it get created in LDAP, i want create few users in Local datasource.
how to create user in local datasource when UME is already switched to LDAP?
one solution is change the ume back to local datasource > create user > then switch back to LDAP.
do you know any other sol?

I succesfully created two separate iTunes libraries on my computer (windows XP) for the iPods of me and my girlfriend. But, how can we switch easily back and forth between the different libraries?

Unfortunately you can only choose your Library at startup. So the only way to switch Libraries is to close iTunes ...
