How to tilt graphs on a report

Hi all,
I developed a Funnel Graph report . I want it as vertical rather than as a horizontal view . So is there any way to achieve this ?

Hi,
As per my understanding, you can use sort function in the grid based on the Project Status column based on the underlying numeric values of the smartlist string values. Assign numeric values to Smart list members as per the requirement i.e. in your case in smart list table.
1. NEW PROJECT
2. PROJECT IN PROGRESS
3. FINISHED PROJECT
You must be having planning database connection to support smart list in FR. If this sorting doesnot work based on the numeric values of smart lists then please let me know.

    Hi Sunil,
    You can get charts in Bex Analyzer. After you execute the report, from the Tools menu > Insert Chart. You can position and edit the chart as desired and save this as a workbook.

    can't see attached file but it seems you need AxisRenderer. But rotated text is shown only using embed fonts.

    Since release 9i, Oracle Reports uses Business Intelligence Beans (BI Beans) to create and display graphs in reports. There is no direct migration path from Oracle Graphics to the BI Beans graphing functionality. As such, the user will need to rewrite all of their graphs using the new Graph Wizard within the Oracle Reports Builder 10g. Oracle Reports 10g supports over 50 graph types, including 3D graphs. However, keep in mind that it does not support some special types, such as Gantt charts.
    It seems direct graph 6i migration is not possible from reports10g.
    It is asking to use the chart wizard again with your query.

    We've designed a web template for our reports. This template has 'Chart' web item and we've made this template as the defualt template for all our BI reports.
    But we have few reports fro which we don't want graphs. One solution is to make template without 'Chart'  web item for each such kind of reports where we don't want the graphs but this adds up more maintenance work.
    Is there a way by which we could use only one web template(defualt template) and hide the graphs for some reports ?

    We've designed a web template for our reports. This template has 'Chart' web item and we've made this template as the defualt template for all our BI reports.
    If i have understood your query properly :
    U have created a template with table and Chart and made this as a default template so that any one can use this template as reference and same template can be used by 'Save As' and give different tech name and Description as per the new query they are working on....! Am i rite ?
    If yes, then this is a standard practice and this is how we managed in one of our project.
    But we have few reports for which we don't want graphs. One solution is to make template without 'Chart' web item for each such kind of reports where we don't want the graphs but this adds up more maintenance work.
    Now coming to the requirement u need to display chart for some on the queries and for some of the queries u need not to display chart at all !  Am i rite ?
    if Yes , then in the standard template for Web item chart let the default display property be 'Visible' and so when ever a new report requirement comes where in u need not to display the chart then simply make a copy (save as) of your default template choose the chart item and change the property to 'hidden' and the chart item remains hidden for this new report.
    Also there is no maintanace as well becoz u have your standard template intact and all u r doing is making a copy of the template and changing the simple property of the chart web item either 'display' or 'hidden'. as per the requirement.
    Also i would like to add a line here even if u have 2 chart items in your template and u want cherry pick the chart to display and hide u can do that, If Chart 1 needs to be hidden and select chart item 1 and change the property to Display or hidden as per the requirement.

  • Excel Graphs using Office Report Generation

    I'm using Office Report Generation and I would like to add a grpah to my excel spreadsheet using existing excel spread sheet data. 
    Right now the only way I can add a grpah is to load the data into labview and create a graph in a 2d array.  However that way the graph has no linkage to the data in the exc el spreadsheet.  I can't use a template to create the graph then load the data because different results require different methods.  However if I could modify an existing graph within labview I could use the template but I can't index a now labview created graph.
    Can anyone suggest anything?

    Thanks for posting to the NI Discussion Forums!  I think you might
    be right, and there might not be a conventional way to create your
    graph from the Report Toolkit (after all this is designed more to
    create a report from known and unchanging data that you can move to
    excel for demo purposes).  There might be some other ways to do
    this.
    My first recommendation if you would like to stick with the Report Gen.
    VIs, you can design an Excel Macro to generate a graph from the
    spreadsheet.  LabVIEW can execute the Excel Macro through the
    Report VIs (see the Report Generation->Excel Specific->Excel
    Advanced->Excel Macros palette).  There are some good examples
    and documentation out there about calling Excel Macros:

    If you do not want to use the macros, you might have more luck using
    ActiveX, or other means in which to interface with Excel than are
    provided in the Report Generation Toolkit.  There are countless
    examples and discussions about Excel, LabVIEW and ActiveX so I won't
    spend too much time here on it, but if you think you might want to use
    this as an option, let us know and I can see about finding some
    examples on it for you.

    I ve seen very good graphs capability on 11g. Is it possible to use those graphics on Jdeveloper 10g or something like it?
    Which would be the reccomendes tool for making reports on 10g?

    We really recommend that you use JDeveloper 11g for Graphs.
    In 10.1.3 there was some limited graphing functionality available. For details on how to use graphs in 10.1.3, please consult this blog by Steve Muench.

    I need to display the contents of PDF document after the form letter report. I tried OLE object but at the runtime it does not display the content. Does any one knows how to attach PDF document in reports layout?

    you will have to concatinate your report output with the static PDF document. in reprots 10g you can create a cusotm destination that could implement this functionality.
    out of the box, reports does not provide the ability to add static content in PDF to reports' generated PDF output.

    Anybody know how to filter Open Item Revaluation Report based on GL Date from and GL Date to in R12?
    Since we just upgraded from 11.5.10 to 12.1.3 and found we cannot filter those report for specific date. It shown all data included the old data from 8 years ago also.
    We need to run the report only for specific date only. Please share with me if anyone know about this.

    Ratio is just a result by division.  If you take one field over another as a denominator, you got your ratio.
