hi,i am using oracle forms developer 6.0.i want a standard stored procedure to trap duplicate fields.i need to track data types number,char and date.i was not using primary keys and foreign keys.please help me anyone.must be a standard one.thanks in advance.

By this, I assume you mean you want to check for duplicate values in a block. There are several ways to do this and there are several examples of this in the Forum and on the Internet. Many of the examples on the Internet are demonstrated in Forms versions greater than Forms 6.0, but they should still work in Forms. You just won't be able to open the sample/demo forms included with the examples.

Why would you not want to enforce uniqueness on your table? As I mentioned above, there are methods in Forms to check for uniqueness (duplicates) in Forms, this should always compliment what you enforce through your table - not replace what you enforce on your table.

I have attaced observer to document for listening protocol IID_ICOMMANDMGR for trapping command kDuplicateCmdBoss. When I perform duplicate from "Option + Drag" the kDuplicateCmdBoss command gets executed before duplicating the item.
The documentation for kDuplicateCmdBoss says that "The page items in the command's item list are duplicated if the command is prepared successfully." But How to find the command is executed successfully.

For tracing drag action on layout, I have used following

The alert is displayed but after that InDesign got crashed. Thus I checked it by returning false still InDesign get crash.

How to run duplicate fields with different read/write capability

Hello,
I'm trying to figure out how to have 2 identical fields but with different read / write capabilities. For example:
I have a document that has a policy number in textfield1 in the application. I also have a page footer textfield2 that is identically named as textfield1. I want the customer to be able to enter their policy number in textfield1, but then i want textfield2 to show that same information but remain locked and read-only.
How can I best accomplish this?

This doesn't seem to work.
My field names are policy_number and policy_number2.
I have entered this script into the field validation for policy_number2.
event.value = this.getField("policy_number").value;
It's showing blank in the policy_number2 field.

How to Ignore records having duplicate field value

Hi,
I have a fixed length flat file having multiple records.
Ex:
1000423421A8090
1000802421A8091
1000454421B8092
1000412421C8093
The first 2 record has A. So I have to take only one out of first two record and ignore the second one. I mean if there is any duplicate field at 11th position then I have to select only one record.
Can you please let me know how to handle this.

1. Use sort by key function

How to automatically rename duplicate field names?

I'm trying to merge mutiple PDF files into one but some PDF files have duplicate field names. Is there a way that Acrobat can automatically rename those duplicate field names so that they remain unique during merging?

If I use the function to align adjacent fields, or the function to match size, duplicate fields are created. How can I get this to stop?

I have a form that consists of columns and rows of fillable fields. When I use the edit function to make the height of the fields the same, or make the widths of the different columns of fields the same, or align the fields vertically or horizontally, duplicate fields are created. If these fields have a box around them, all of the duplicate fields' boxes are shown. The field names have the same base name, but have a suffix that is sequentially numbered. If I delete the "lower" numbered suffix names (with the same base name), the resulting field does not appear on the form.
What is going on with the alignment or size process. I do use the CTRL-Click function to select the group of fields I am trying to size or align. If using the selection of multiple fields should be done differently, how can it be done?

No. That's not what's happening. The duplicate fields are ONLY created after I employ the alignment or sizing functions. Weird.
I was hoping that this was the result of some kind of setting in Acrobat, or that the duplicate fields would disappear when saving the form, but that's not what happened.

Some people want to know if we can have multiple field terminators in BULK INSERT or BCP commands, and how to implement multiple field terminators in BULK INSERT or BCP commands.
Solution
For character data fields, optional terminating characters allow you to mark the end of each field in a data file with a field terminator, as well as the end of each row with a row terminator. If a terminator character occurs within the data, it is interpreted
as a terminator, not as data, and the data after that character is interpreted and belongs to the next field or record. I have done a test, if you use BULK INSERT or BCP commands and set the multiple field terminators, you can refer to the following command.
In Windows command line,
bcp <Databasename.schema.tablename> out “<path>” –c –t –r –T
For example, you can export data from the Department table with bcp command and use the comma and colon (,:) as one field terminator.
bcp AdventureWorks.HumanResources.Department out C:\myDepartment.txt -c -t ,: -r \n –T

However, if you want to bcp by using multiple field terminators the same as the following command, which will still use the last terminator defined by default.

When multiple field terminators means multiple fields, you use the below comma separated format,
column1,,column2,,,column3
In this occasion, you only separate 3 fields (column1, column2 and column3). In fact, after testing, there will be 6 fields here. That is the significance of a field terminator (comma in this case).
Meanwhile, using BULK INSERT to import the data of the data file into the SQL table, if you specify terminator for BULK import, you can only set multiple characters as one terminator in the BULK INSERT statement.

Please let me know the condition that we should go for.If possible let me know the SAMPLE code since this will be used in most of the FORMS.

It depends on which print you're working.
If it's a print of standard document you can check the NAST (VSTAT field) table in order to know if the document was printed.
If a message is created you can find the hit in NAST table:
VSTAT = 0, document not printed;
VSTAT = 1, documment printed
VSTAT = 2, print is failed
If you mean a custom print I believe you need to create a log like NAST table.

How do you duplicate a form

i used to be able to duplicate a blank form, have my clients complete and then save under their names. Since this software updated I have not been able to do this. How do you duplicate and rename a file? Does anyone know?

You're probably using Acrobat if you can duplicate pages like that. This is the Adobe Reader forum...
To answer your question, though: The only way this can be done automatically, without having to manually rename each field, is to use a Template to spawn new pages. This is something the form's author should have done, but you can do it yourself as well, using some code.

Sharepoint 2010 Content Deployemnt Job issue with duplicate fields in User information List

I am facing below issue with the content deployment job.
It was working earlier. But now since from couple of days all the content deployment jobs in production environment are failing with below error.
Field name already exists. The name used for this field is already used by another field in the list. Select another name and try again.
ObjectName="User Information List".
When I check the fields in User information list in targeted site, I found couple of columns are dupicate like "ask me about",first name","Last name" etc.
Do i Need to drop target site collection or recreate with fresh content deployment job.
Please suggest.

How can I pass field value betwen view in ICWC?

I am new to this BSP programming. I have some requirements to modify standard ICWC in CRM 5.0
Hope can get some advices and helps here.
I have added a new field called <status> to context note SEARCHCUSTOMER in BupaSearchB2B view and also the same field name to context note CUSTOMER in BupaCreate view.
I have added the field into both the HTM views and able to execute thru WebClient. However, I have one problem in passing the <status> value from BupaSearchB2B view to the BupaCreate view when I click on the 'create' button.
I do search and saw this thread How can I pass field value beetwen view in IC Web Client? , but i cant figure out how it works.
Do I need to create the field <status> to context note CUSTOMER in BupaSearchB2B? Currently the context note does not have any attributes.
Really appreciate for any help.

How to add more fields at level task for importing to MsProject

Hi everyone,
We would like to have the same number of fields either for importing as exporting; or at least, the fields that we need.
The problem is when we are configurating the fields for exporting from cProjects to MsProject, we found 81 available fields and then we don't find the same amount for importing (34). So, in some cases we don't find fields which were configurated for exporting and it is no posible to upload the information back because the field is no available for importing.
Does anyone knows how to add more fields for importing at the cProjects side?

Some fields can not be migrated because of MsProject designe. The above is the reason why cProjects' customizing does not offer the
mapping of the same nuember of fields.

I'm creating xml report for Apps standard Trial Balance Summary, here i cant able to run the .rdf locally due to SRW.UserExit .
So i got the XML file from output of the report.
Then i added the xml data in BI publisher and then i have created the .rtf for that.
Here i need to add some fields which is not available in fields list (in BI Publisher).
How to add that fields, or is possible to add fields manually.
That fields are given as parameters while running the .rdf file.
Please tell me how to solve this problem.

If those fields are input parameters to the concurrent program then you can display them in RTF by declaring and printing it as
<?param@begin:P_CONC_PARAM?>
and display it as <?$P_CONC_PARAM?> - Note P_CONC_PARAM should match your parameter token

I think of something like:
First, you create extension, with transaction WE30.
Then, reduce your idoc, your extension should also be proposed.
Do not forget to add this extension in outbound we82, and/or we57 in inbound, and WE20, and find BTE or exit to populate extension.
