How to update database using Service in 11g

Please some one provide the knowledge, how i will update database from a form and form is having multiple rows and column and and all are having different or same value.
e.g. we have having clientName table and having column(clientname, legalContact, selfservice,usertype,details),
We can search the data from clientName, now user can change other information except clientName can not be change but other information can change. now how i will update users changed value.

but i am getting error saying that "The type od database table and work area (TH_FINAL) are not unicode convertible"?
I am not able to understandwhat would be the solution for this ?

The error occurs in the UPDATE statement included in the code. In this statement it is seen that there is a mismatch of structure defined for the DDIC table /tdk/st0027 and that of your work area th_final.
try to create a structure w.r.t the DDIC table.
Eg: DATA: wa_temp TYPE /tdk/st0027.
MOVE-CORRESPONDING th_final TO wa_temp.
Then try to UPDATE using the temporary work area i.e wa_temp which has structure similar to that of the database table.

Within an LUW, database changes are not made until after a database commit. Prior to this, any database change can be canceled by a database rollback.
In the R/3 System, a database commit is triggered either automatically or by the ABAP/4 command COMMIT WORK or the appropriate Native SQL command for the database system.
Similarly, a database rollback is triggered either automatically or by the ABAP/4 command ROLLBACK WORK or the appropriate Native SQL command for the database system.
After the COMMIT WORK has been executed, the event RAISE_TRANSACTION_FINISHED of the class CL_SYSTEM_TRANSACTION_STATE with parameter value CL_SYSTEM_TRANSACTION_STATE=>COMMIT_WORK is triggered. However, this does not apply to the COMMIT WORK at the end of the update.

How to delete database using sql

I have to delete some databases from oracle 8i. I tried it using the Database Configuration Assistant and I get stuck indefinately as the message always says connecting but nothing happens.
How can I delete databases using sql not thru the DCA?

1.- shutdown the database
2.- Delete all files ( Control Files, .dbf, Redo's, Archive�s, parameter file, password file )
3.- Delete the entrance of this database from
listener.ora and from tnsnames.ora files.
and that's it.

BDAqua saved me a lot of typing. It wasn't clear, though, if you just needed to vent or if you're wanting to address these issues (which will involve a lot of typing).
One of the main ones you need to do before you do any installing or installing of Flash Player is deal with the disk that won't verify. Basically you're working with a computer that doesn't know where all its files are. The computer uses a directory to keep tack of them and your directory needs repairing. If you don't repair it then you'll just end up losing files, and getting more problems with running the computer. It's a little bit like never changing the oil in the car, or dealing with an oil leak when it happens.
First, if at all possible make a backup of the drive in its present configuration. If something goes wrong during repair attempts and makes things worse you will have a backup. You will have to decide how to work this in the light of any present backups you may have, for example, a backup that may be a few days out of date. In that case you may want to keep that one and make a second backup of this as they are now, though I realize people often don't have a lot of empty drives sitting around.
Boot from the System Installer disc that came with your computer or is the one for the version you currently have on there, select language if applicable, choose utilities, run Disk Utility and verify (and repair if necessary) the drive. You can verify a drive from DU on your main drive while booted but I have found this can result in incorrect reporting of errors. To repair your drive you have to run it from a drive other than the boot drive anyway.
Next, boot from your drive in [Safe Mode|http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107393] and repair permissions. You can repair permissions while booted from the installer disc but this uses the permissions configuration on the installer disc which may be out of date if you have run any updates on your computer. Booting your computer to Safe Mode restricts the number of things running on your computer while permissions are being run and does a bit of spring cleaning at the same time.

How to update menu using menumaker

I used menumaker to generate menu for pekwm
mmaker -vft aterm pekwm
v -- gives some info
f -- forces to write even if there is a "menu" file in ~/.pekwm folder.
t aterm -- specifies which terminal emulator to use.
The same applies to fluxbox, openbox, etc.

Now, if you have hand edited the menu and then want to run menumaker (after installing some other apps), then all the stuff that you edited will be lost. Is there a way to tell menumaker not to delete anything but just to add since many apps cannot be added by menumaker automatically, eg., an entry for wine application. In other words, how to update pekwm menu after installing applications but not to delete hand-edited stuff.

I assume dr is your data row which you got from a data table object. There seems problem while loading the data table itself, there is no data in dr["lookupcolumn", check below links

A.class has some procedures and String variables which can be updated and later can be used in JSP pages. The project starts with ARunner.jsp which uses the A.class and updates the values of string variables s0 and s1of A to hi and hello respectively.And then redirects the page to MainUser.jsp.
Now what I want is ,when I call those string variables(s0 & s1 of A.class) in any another jsp likeMainUser.jsp it should give me the value of hi and hello respectively not null as it is giving right now. Could you refine the coding for this one?

Hi All,
I have configured OIM11g with LDAP SYNC and it is working fine. i have added some UDF on the user creation form and the same attributes has been created on OID as well. Now, when i create users on OIM with these custom attributes the values are not getting updated on OID resource, can anyone please let me know how to update these attributes on OID?
