How to use Bean Builder????

How can I start the Bean Builder app.Do I have to connect to the Internet to use it.

hi
You need to install a bean developer kit to run the applications. for that u can install BDk developed by sun microsystem and download the same from the url www.java.sun.com/bean and install in the system. run the batch file in that directory provided. say u hav installed in bdk directory u get the batch file bdk-beanbox and run it and ull get a beanbox. to that beanbox u add ur programs to run the applications.
hope this helps u

  • How to use BEAN in an oracle forms at client side

    Hello,
    I am new in oracle forms.I am using
    OS-Windows 7.
    Forms [32 Bit] Version 11.1.2.1.0 (Production)
    weblogic 10.3.5
    Now I want know that how to use bean item in an oracle forms.
    Thank You.

    Hello,
    You copy the corresponding JAR file that contains the Java BEan in your <DEVSUITE_HOME>/forms/java folder, then you add its name to the archive tags of the forsweb.cfg file.
    This done, you add a Bean Area to your canvas, set its Implementation Class property with the full class name, then you can communicate with the bean via the GET_CUSTOM_PROPERTY() and SET_CUSTOM_PROPERTY() built-in.
    Google could also give you more information.

  • How to use Flash Builder  for Eclipse Luna ( is it possible??)

    How to use Flash Builder  for Eclipse Luna ( is it possible??)

    Yes. I have Flash Builder 4.6 and 4.7 running in different Eclipse Luna installs.
    More details at http://forums.adobe.com/message/4527443
    On Mac, I had to have the 32bit version of Luna for 4.6, and the 64bit version of Luna for 4.7 (and  I recently started using  4.7 with Eclipse Mars).
    For 4.6 you need to first download Eclipse 3.6 and install the Flash Builder 4.6 plugin to that Eclipse install. For 4.7 you need to download Eclipse 3.7 and install the plugin to that Eclipse install. Once it's installed in the 3.x version, you can then copy the fb*.link files from the Eclipse 3.x dropins folders into your Eclipse Luna's dropin folder.
    There is an issue where something in Flash Builder 4.7 won't work right when using it as a plugin, not sure but it might be something with building ANEs.

  • How to use bean:write inside jsp:include ?

    I got a problem about JSP's syntax. The following is my code:
    <%@ include file="<bean:write name="HelloForm" property="target" />"%>
    The double quotes inside bean:write is my problem. Could you please teach me how to use bean:write within JSP's include? Thank you!

    http://java.sun.com/products/jsp/syntax/1.2/syntaxref12.html
    Include Directive vs <jsp:include>
    The include directive <%@include %> is done at page translation/compile time.
    It effectively pastes in a static file, and then compiles the JSP as if it was all one file.
    As such, you cannot provide a runtime expression to it.
    To do runtime inclusion, you need to use the <jsp:include> tag which does except runtime parameters.
    <%String test = request.getParameter("pageInfo");%>
    <%String link = test + ".jsp"; %>
    <jsp:include page="<%= link %>" %>Unfortunately you can't use the tag with a bean:write tag as well, you can only use runtime expressions, not tag. So you have to do the include with
    <jsp:include page="<%= HelloForm.getTarget() %>" />

  • How to use beans in more than one page

    hello members,
    can somebody tell me how to make beans availabe to more than one page ,i used scope variable as "application"
    in which i set the value of java bean and in that page it show all values of that bean even it modified
    but when redirect to another jsp page it does not show modifided value,it shows its default value
    what shld i use tell me
    following thing that i use in forwarded jsp page
    <jsp:useBean="same id in previous jsp page", class="same class", scope="application"/>
    and then i am using boolean variable which set false default ,but i set it manually though
    setfuction (assume) in original jsp page,but in redirected page it showing it value fasle
    i don't know why
    can somebody (Bean Bond) help me in this problem
    i will very thankfull to you
    plz..................

    My dear friend,
    your scope is wrong. Since you run a JSP page and you want it available everywhere, the only thing that all pages have common is session. So changing your bean scope to session will keep the bean variables and the rest you have on it.
    Try it and let me know.

  • How to use bean write in  struts html:text tag

    hi,
    i'm new to struts concepts.here i'm trying to write a value in html struts tag using <bean:write>
    my current tag is
    <html:text property="empname" value='<bean:write name="employee" property="empid">' />
    but it gives same tag in the text box.how i can solve this.

    what am I doing wrong?You will notice above that I mentioned
    YOU CAN'T USE CUSTOM TAGS AS ATTRIBUTES TO OTHER CUSTOM TAGS
    (was that loud enough for you to notice this time)?
    Try
    <html:text styleId="instruction" styleClass="text" size="50" name="instruction" property="value"/>
    //or
    <html:text styleId="instruction" styleClass="text" size="50" property="instruction" value="<%= instruction.getValue() %>"/>
    better alternative: populate your formbean with your action and just have:
    <html:text styleId="instruction" styleClass="text" size="50" property="instruction"/>
    If you set the "instruction" property of your formBean in the action, the value will be automagically reflected here.
    Cheers,

  • How to use Report Builder with permission extension

    Is there any method to let web site which use SSRS and Report Builder use different permission extension module?
    In our web site project we use ReportingService2010 Methods to show and operate folder and report which stored in Report Service, in our project configuration file, we use windows authentication mode for Report Service.
    In requirement 1.User can do any operation in folder “A” and folder “B” (we can create and delete report or folder) in web site. 2.User can’t use “Report Builder” to save reports which created by Report Builder to folder “B”, Reports which created by Report
    Builder only can be saved in folder “A”. [User click “Report Builder” button in our web page to start Report Builder, use  “Report Builder” to create report, if user want to save report, we need to hidden folder “B” in “Report Builder” or we need to remove
    some operate right from folder “B”.]
    We have two solution:
    1. We want to write extension module to process this issue, we want to re-write CheckAccess method which will be called by web site backend  and Report Builder, but how can we know who called CheckAccess method[Web site backend called CheckAccess method
    or Report Builder?]
    2. We want to let Web site back-end use permission extension module named WebSitePer.dll, and Report Builder use PBPer.dll, how to modify the configuration file?

    Hi Fang,
    As far as I know, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), have no permission extension. In Reporting Services, it is use role-based security to grant user access to a report server. There are two types of roles: Item-level roles and System-level roles.
    Based on my test, if we assign user with System User System-level role, the user will have permission to user Report Builder to create report. However, if we only assigned Browser or Report Builder Item-level role to the user, he/she will have no permission
    to publish the report to the report server. In this situation, although user have permission user Report Builder to edit the report, it will have no effect of the report in report server. User who has assigned Browser or Report Builder Item-level role will
    have no permission to delete report in the report server.
    There is an article about Setting Permissions in Reporting Services, you can refer to it.

    Hope this helps.

  • How to use the build-in Java parser

    Hi All,
    I want do use the build-in Java parser. Is this possible? For example I have the following code:
    package ch.fhnw;
    import javax.tools.*;
    public class JavacExample {
         * @param args
        public static void main(String[] args) {
         JavaCompiler javac = ToolProvider.getSystemJavaCompiler();
         String arguments = "./src/ch/fhnw/JavacExample.java";
         int rc = javac.run(null , null, null, "-verbose", arguments);
         System.out.println("Return value: " + rc);
    }After parsing, it would be great to have an object or similar which contains the methods, arguments used by the methods, etc. The target is to extract method declarations from java files. Is there a simple way to do it without defining my own EBNF like in JavaCC? Or any other way?
    Thank you for your help.
    kind regards,

  • How to use Query Builder in JDeveloper?

    I am not able to use Query Builder with JDeveloper version 11g 2.
    The online documentation about Query Builder:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35521_01/user.111230/e17455/db_tools.htm#OJDUG2380
    "To use Query Builder:
    Open the SQL Worksheet.
    Right-click and choose Query Builder."
    But when I right-click on the SQL Worksheet, there is no menu item "Query Builder".
    Does the documentation belong to a different version of JDeveloper?
    Edited by: Ralf_user4689599 on 06.05.2013 15:40

    all features of 11.1.2.3.0 are installed.
    It makes no difference wether I start studio developer or database developer role.
    There's no query builder in the context menu of the sql worksheet.

  • How to use bean as attribute?

    I create a bean(sql result) from a servlet and put it in the request using setAttribute(bean) and then use dispacher to send the request to the display.jsp. In display.jsp i have a <jsp:usebean id="bean" class="beanClass"> but when i use <jsp:getProperty name="bean" property="colum1"/> it doesnt give anything. Did i miss anything? How does the usebean tag know which bean i wanna use? The usebean tag i used creates a new bean, right?
    Hope to get some help

    May be you need to define the scope for <jsp:useBean> tag. For class, try to add package.class.

  • How to use Query Builder as a component inside our applications?

    I am very new to Apex, but I loved it until now :)
    After my first experience I am thinking to advice Apex as an Oracle database reporting environment to some of our marketing and sales guys. These guys are familiar to basic SQL and table, index concepts and their need is to create dynamic reports, take their output to excel and email these reports all around the company :)
    My first question is can Apex 3.1 work with 9.2 - 10.1 - 10.2 and 11.1?
    My second question is how can I open the Query Builder inside the Create Region>SQL Report wizard to my users inside a custom user defined form?
    My third question is if the answer of second question is it is not possible, then anyone can advice on alternatives for this kind of a need with Apex?
    My last question is how Apex can handle a distributed database environment, like Java applications can it open several database connections as needed?
    Thank you.

    Hello,
    My first question is can Apex 3.1 work with 9.2 - 10.1 - 10.2 and 11.1?Correct. That's said in the installation guide.
    My second question is how can I open the Query Builder inside the Create Region>SQL Report wizard to my users inside a custom user defined form?This does not yet exist out of the box. You can have a look how Oracle did it and try to mimic it in your own application.
    My third question is if the answer of second question is it is not possible, then anyone can advice on alternatives for this kind of a need with Apex?Import app 4500 in your own workspace. On page 1002 you should find the query builder.
    Again you can't just run this, you would need to make customizations to it. Alternatively you can add just a textarea on a page where you can run SQL statements from. But I guess you want to have the graphical display?
    My last question is how Apex can handle a distributed database environment, like Java applications can it open several database connections as needed?APEX is living in the Oracle database. So everything inside that database you can potentially work with. If you need data from other sources you can use a database link or hytrogenous connectivity. Basically if you can do it from the Oracle database, you can also do it from within APEX.

  • How to use toplink "build expression"  with soundex function

    We are using toplink experssion builder to build the query. can any one help me on build a query with soundex using toplink..
    for example :
    SELECT last_name, first_name
    FROM hr.employees
    WHERE SOUNDEX(last_name)
    = SOUNDEX('SMYTHE');

    TopLink's ExpressionOperator does have an operator defined for soundex. I have an example that uses it that I customized to match you case.
    I would recommend defining these queries as named queries using an after-load method:
        public static void afterLoadEmployee(ClassDescriptor descriptor) {
            ReadAllQuery raq = new ReadAllQuery(Employee.class);
            ExpressionBuilder eb = raq.getExpressionBuilder();
            Expression fnExp =
                ExpressionOperator.soundex().expressionFor(eb.get("lastName"));
            Expression valExp =
                ExpressionOperator.soundex().expressionFor(eb.getParameter("L_NAME"));
            raq.setSelectionCriteria(fnExp.equal(valExp));
            raq.addArgument("L_NAME", String.class);
            descriptor.getDescriptorQueryManager().addQuery("Employee.findBySoundexLastName",
                                                            raq);
        }Now you can execute the query anywhere in your application using:
            List<Employee> emps =
                (List<Employee>)session.executeQuery("Employee.findBySoundexLastName",
                                                     Employee.class, "SMYTHE");The SQL generated is a little different due to the multiple tables used in the employee example model but here is what I got:
    SELECT t0.EMP_ID, t1.EMP_ID, t0.F_NAME, t1.SALARY, t0.L_NAME, t0.GENDER, t0.VERSION, t0.ADDR_ID,
    t0.MANAGER_ID, t0.END_DATE, t0.START_DATE FROM EMPLOYEE t0, SALARY t1
    WHERE ((SOUNDEX(t0.L_NAME) = SOUNDEX('SMYTHE')) AND (t1.EMP_ID = t0.EMP_ID))Doug

  • How to use the build file generated by Jdev to automate bpel deployment

    Hi everyone I am trying to deploy bpel jar files and human task ear files using ant. When i use the ant which is generated by Jdev I am gettinng an error
    C:\Documents and Settings\254876\Desktop\BPEL_ANT>ant
    Buildfile: build.xml
    deployTaskForm:
    BUILD FAILED
    C:\Documents and Settings\254876\Desktop\BPEL_ANT\build.xml:39: Could not create
    task or type of type: deployTaskForm.
    Ant could not find the task or a class this task relies upon.
    This is common and has a number of causes; the usual
    solutions are to read the manual pages then download and
    install needed JAR files, or fix the build file:
    - You have misspelt 'deployTaskForm'.
    Fix: check your spelling.
    - The task needs an external JAR file to execute
    and this is not found at the right place in the classpath.
    Fix: check the documentation for dependencies.
    Fix: declare the task.
    - The task is an Ant optional task and the JAR file and/or libraries
    implementing the functionality were not found at the time you
    yourself built your installation of Ant from the Ant sources.
    Fix: Look in the ANT_HOME/lib for the 'ant-' JAR corresponding to the
    task and make sure it contains more than merely a META-INF/MANIFEST.MF.
    If all it contains is the manifest, then rebuild Ant with the needed
    libraries present in ${ant.home}/lib/optional/ , or alternatively,
    download a pre-built release version from apache.org
    - The build file was written for a later version of Ant
    Fix: upgrade to at least the latest release version of Ant
    - The task is not an Ant core or optional task
    and needs to be declared using <taskdef>.
    - You are attempting to use a task defined using
    <presetdef> or <macrodef> but have spelt wrong or not
    defined it at the point of use
    Remember that for JAR files to be visible to Ant tasks implemented
    in ANT_HOME/lib, the files must be in the same directory or on the
    classpath
    Please neither file bug reports on this problem, nor email the
    Ant mailing lists, until all of these causes have been explored,
    as this is not an Ant bug.

    Ensure JDEV and SOA versions are in sync.
