How to use both At USER-COMMAND and AT LINE-SELECTION in one abap program

I am trying out a program where I need to use both line selection and user command events in one program. Suggest me how to do it.

USE the okcode 'PICK'. (I mean add a 'PICK' in the GUI staus or the menu.) When ever u use both the events u have to use PICK to trigger the at line selection.
U just need to add the PICK in the GUI status and ofcourse write code in the program.
AT LINE-SELECTION.
CASE sy-ucomm.
WHEN 'PICK'.
write:/ 'HELLO WORLD'.
ENDCASE.

I created a small report which do a refresh every X seconds. In every refresh, the form "print_panel" is performed. In this form I used some icons as buttons of my user interface in this way:
..."skipping code that's not relevant w.r.t to the question.
SKIP TO LINE myline.
WRITE AT mycolumn(2) ICON_COLUMN_LEFT AS ICON NO-GAP.
This allows in my report to use such an expression to associate a dbl click on that icon to a certain block of code:
AT LINE-SELECTION.
    DATA: FIELD(30).
    GET CURSOR FIELD FIELD.
    IF FIELD = 'ICON_COLUMN_LEFT'.
       PERFORM myformthatdoessomething.
I'm wondering if there's a way to associate this behaviour also to a key stroke. For example, pressing the "A" key is equivalent to do a double click on that icon. How can i manage this ?

The requirement is :
When the START OF SELECTION section is executed a write statement displaying the number of incomplete sales Orders is displayed. When you click on that output statement(as in drill down repoting) the code below comes into picture:
AT LINE-SELECTION.
PERFORM disp_blkd_bill.
PERFORM start_of_selection.
LEAVE SCREEN.
Now the alv list displays incomplete Sales Orders. The user using the HOTSPOT feature completes/processes the sales Order and wants the ALV report to refresh when she hits the back button and returns to the ALV list which I do so. Now when she again hits the back button she wants to view the updated statement displaying the number of incomplete Sales orders which happens when the routine 'start_of_selection' is excuted again. But then If I do not use the LEAVE SCREEN command it takes her back to the old displaing the previous incomplete number of sales orders and then back to the selection screen. We do not want that old statement to be displayed on the way back to the selection screen.
Please let me know if you still need further clarifications.

How to use both a PowerMac G5 and a remote PowerBook G4?

I just finished installing my new 2.3DC G5 and migrating my info from my Powerbook. I also set up a wireless network with Airport Express. Everything has been running smoothly and without any problems. So far I am extremely pleased with my new system. I have all my emails, files and everything on the new G5, and I am working from this machine.
I travel quite a bit, and plan to take my powerbook with me and do not want to have duplicate files on both systems... What is the best way to organize my information? Is there a way to access my G5 from a remote Powerbook? including emails? Remote desktop? File Sharing?
Is it a big issue that the Powerbook is using Panther and the G5 Tiger? Could it be possible to install Tiger from the G5 dvd on the Powerbook?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You could subscribe to .mac and use their sync service. You have up to 1 gig of online storage space, and could sync files between the two machines, including address books, browser files, personal files. More info at http://www.mac.com. I'm not sure if this works with Panther as well as Tiger, but I would assume it would.
Note you will not be able to install Tiger on the Powerbook with your G5 DVD - not only is this against the licensing agreement, the DVD is most likely keyed to the type of platform it was provided with (i.e. the PMG5)
With regards to the emails, you can keep these syncd between the two machines without .mac - just set up your mail retrieval settings so that a copy of the mail remains on the server, and is only deleted once the mail is deleted locally from your machine.
Another way would be to keep your most important files on a USB memory stick, and put it in which ever machine you want.
You can of course also set up file sharing or use remote desktop, however this would mean leaving the G5 turned on when you go travelling, and you would be reliant on Internet access in order to use it.

Set PF Status and At-Line Selection & At User-Command

Hi All
I've used set PF status, at user command and at-line selection in my program. initially when i click on the material number it was not drilling further that is it was not taking to secondary list. i commented the PF status and tried. then it was working fine. Later, after checking on couple of doc i added F.code PICK in my PF status and uncommented the set-PF status in my program it was working fine. Now my question is why this kind of behaviour. When i uncomment the PF status and run the program without the f.code PICK in my PF status(se41) it was not working but after inlcuding the F.code in my PF it is working. Any good explanation?

hi,
generally fuction code is useful for the system to find on which button or in which area the user has clicked in. based on the function code the system executes the satatements that are in user command. in your case i think u didnt gave any functionality in user-command. when at-user command is a event in interactive reporting which is triggered based on the button u had clicked.
at line-selection event uses two system variables
   1. sy-lsind [ current list index number ]
   2. sy-lisel [ contains the current area in which user ckicked ].
   3. sy-ucomm [ function code of clicked button ].
using these 3 vars we can drill down to 21 lists [ including 1st list ]

Refresh Report and At Line-Selection and At User-Command

Hi All
I have 2 querries
1) I want to use At Line-selection and At user-command in the same report. But At line-selection is not getting triggered why? When I remove Set pf-status 'xxx' and at user command , then at line selection works . I want to user both at a time.
2) I am giving user ability to edit the report shown and when he comes back by exiting the editing I want to refresh the report which is shown already to him to give effect of his editing.

I would recommend you to use 0FI_AP_4 rather using both, particularly for many reasons -
1. DS: 0FI_AP_4 replaces DataSource 0FI_AP_3 and still uses the same extraction structure. For more details refer to the OSS note 410797.
2. You can run the 0FI_AP_4 independent of any other FI datasources like 0FI_AR_4 and 0FI_GL_4 or even 0FI_GL_14. For more details refer to the OSS note: 551044.
3. Map the 0FI_AP_4 to DSO: 0FIAP_O03 (or create a Z one as per your requirement).
4. Load the same to a InfoCube (0FIAP_C03).

According to your descriptioin, I don't think this is system problem, it should be Intel driver problem. It would be contact Intel to confirm this issue whether this is their driver problem.

AT USER-COMMAND is a list Event.This Event is triggered when user make an action on the Application Toolber Or Menubar.
Here is the Program.
START-OF-SELECTION.
SET PF-STATUS 'TEST'.
WRITE: 'Basic list, SY-LSIND =', sy-lsind.
AT LINE-SELECTION.
WRITE: 'LINE-SELECTION, SY-LSIND =', sy-lsind.
AT USER-COMMAND.
CASE sy-ucomm.
WHEN 'TEST'.
WRITE: 'TEST, SY-LSIND =', sy-lsind.
ENDCASE.
This program uses a status TEST, defined in the Menu Painter.
Function key F5 has the function code TEST and the text Test for demo.
Function code TEST is entered in the List menu.
The function codes PICK and TEST are assigned to pushbuttons.
The user can trigger the AT USER-COMMAND event either by pressing F5 , or by choosing List -> Test for demo, or by choosing the pushbutton 'Test for demo'.The user can trigger the AT LINE-SELECTION event by selecting a line.

How to use both wired and wireless connection with static addresses

Now that I have setup my home network with static addresses (router, mini1, mini2 and PC) in the way I want, (big thanks to BDAqua http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1271635&tstart=0) I would like to understand some more advanced network concepts.
I would like to change the network so that I use both the wireless connection and the built-in ethernet connection at the same time in my Mac mini1. I would like to connect my PC to my Mac mini by using the wired ethernet connection so that I reach the Internet from my PC as well. I would also like to be in control of all the addresses therefore I want to assign the addresses manually.
The question: What addresses should I use between mini1 and PC? Should I use the same wireless address space as I already use between the wireless router and the other computers (router: 192.168.1.1, mini1: 192.168.1.101, mini2: 192.168.1.103) or should I use something totally different like 10.X.X.X? What should I put in ethernet connection "Router"-field, the same as in Airport (192.168.1.1)? What about DNS, same as in Airport?

If I understand this correctly, you wish your Mini to perform Internet Sharing for your PC, correct!?
If so you'll pretty much have to let the Mini handle DHCP & NAT on the Ethernet port. You also want to be sure Airport is dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations, that's what position the Mini will use 1st for Internet itself.
On the Mini turn on both Web Sharing & Internet Sharing. The PC once connected will have the Mini's Ethernet IP as it's Gateway addy.

The Standard List Status
As with normal screens, you can define your own GUI status for lists and attach it to a list level using the SET PF-STATUS statement. If you do not set a particular GUI status, the system sets a default list status for the list screen in an executable program. In other programs, for example, when you call a list from screen processing, you must set this status explicitly using the statement
SET PF-STATUS space.
This default interface always contains at least the functions described in the Standard List section.
Unlike normal dialog statuses, the default list status is affected by the ABAP program.
If you define event blocks in your program using the event keywords AT LINE-SELECTION or AT PF]
This statement sets the status parameters. To display an ampersand character &, repeat it in the title &&.

On list level 20, EXCLUDING ITAB deactivates all function codes that create detail lists. This prevents the user from causing a program termination by trying to create detail list number 21.

Each drive mounts as a separate volume. There is no convenient way to make them look like one contiguous volume.*
Franky, with an hdd and a ssd I would recommend you put your home dir on the hdd and leave the ssd for the OS and your key applications. It's relatively easy to do and I think better than moving only portions of your stuff.

How to use an authenticated user for a proxy call

Dear all,
I am currently working on a JEE application where the user needs to authenticate (for this I have configured the web.xml).
Now inside this application I need to do a proxy call to a PI webservice.
I would like to use the user credentials of the already logged in user in order to call the proxy.
What I don't want to do is to use a service user for the proxy call.
The code I am trying to call looks something like this:

from the first screenshot, what I understood is that, you are calling an inbound PI web service that is intended to create an integrated configuration object (this is used for whole lot of other reason completely) but not actually calling a development web service.
For this, you would have to generate your client classes from the WSDL provided by the PI developer for that particular service. Once you get those client classes generated, you could used the method provided in the other screenshot to extract the user and password and call the intended web service.
