How to use Commit RFC?

hi all,
I have a file-rfc-file scenario.After this XI needs to call the commit rfc
QIRF_SEND_COMMIT_TO_QM.From the forum i came to know that it can be done in RFC receiver Advanced mode.But my doubt is do we have to call this commit RFC just like any other RFC's?....i mean do i create datatypes,Messagetypes in Design.
Also i have XI with less than SP14...how to go abt with RFC wrapper?
can anybody throw some light on this

You need not do anything special in design.
If u r not using a wrapper BAPI,then
In Configuration of Receiver RFC Communication channel use Advanced Option and select commit Handling option.This option can be used if ur using XI 3.0 sp14 and above .
But since u r using wrapper BAPI, this option does not make any difference.

PS: I do not want to change the Target_system to the same one in the
above script of ecatt.Because I need to run it in 2 different Target
systems sometime.
for example, I give a Target_system_3 when run this eCATT
I want the SAPGUI_1 and SAPGUI_2 run the Target_system_3 but not the
Target_system_1 or Target_system_2 .
Could you please tell me how to make it without the changes in script?

This is the standard option value. Asynchronous are not the standard way and used only for very special purposes.

The commands will be executed in sequence. So each call will be synchronously replayed against TS1 and TS2.
What is you issue with this standard procedure?

I have used
submit program.....
but in update task i have used it.
"Z_SD_ORDER_UPDATE".    program is a print driver program.
However error says:
There is probably an error in the program
"Z_SD_ORDER_UPDATE".
This program is triggered in the update task. There, the
following ABAP/4 statements are not allowed:
- CALL SCREEN
- CALL DIALOG
- CALL TRANSACTION
- SUBMIT
I used submit as:
WAIT UP TO 2 SECONDS.
SUBMIT rsconn01 WITH mode = 'INT'
                  WITH output = ' '
                AND RETURN.
Instead of submit i want to use commit work but i also get a dump after commit work too.
How can i use commit work in above code?

see commit is the thing which saves the changes you made to the
database otherwise imean if u have not done the commit work what
happens is the changes will be killed once the your program life has
been killed i think you got why we will do commit work
BAPI's are the methods through which we can input the data i mean it
is an interface technique it is a direct input method.
for example you have inserted some data into one table by using this
BAPI technique but you not done the Commit BAPI then wht happens is
the changes u made to the database cannot been seen in the table these
will get effective once u have Done the Commit BAPI

see by taking the above example only we can know wht is Rollback it is nothing but UNDO option in ms office se untill saving if we want one step back we will do it by undo option am i right similalry untill commit ing i.e. nothing until saving the changes made u can delete the modified change i.e. u can go to the stage how it was previously ok

How to use two RFC models in one Data Source for a Interactive Form UI Elem

I want to use two RFC models (two Function Modules from a SAP Backend system) in one context node of a View Controller in order to pass it as the data source to a Interactive Form UI element. Can I use the data binding mechanism directly or have I to copy the data into a Value Node within the view controller.

You can create a local context node in component controller and copy the data from both the RFC's to this node, then bind it to the view controller. Then you can make this view context node as the datasource of the interactive form.

How to use the RFC SDK as part of a QTP test script

Hi there,
after having recorded some business transactions, I want to insert some checks into the QTP test script: an easy example would be an existence check in a database table. Instead of recording a SE16 or SE16N, I would find the approach much more elegant and much more efficient to use a (VB-)programmed RFC call for this purpose.
Unfortunately, I didn't find a way to address an RFC using the actual connection that QTP is working on. Creating a new connection would probably be possible but is not what I want.
Any idea how I could proceed? Does anybody else have experiences in this area?
I think this issue is not restricted to QTP but shared by any tool working on top of the SAP GUI Scripting API.

I am trying to add primitive syntax highlighting to my JTextPane and have serious problems which I already stated in this forum. Now I read from uncle_alice that the text package from swing is not ment for that and that I need to write my own JTextPane and my own document and view.
Can you explain what you mean by "writing my own JTextPane and View and Dcoument".
My own Document I already have in order to provide SQL-highlighting.
But what exactly do you mean by suggesting to write my own View! Whoever uses JTextPane doesnt really have much to do with its view. Can you give me a hint as I am completely stuck with an Exception : "javax.swing.text.StateInvariantError: GlyphView: Stale view: javax.swing.text.BadLocationException: Length must be positive"
can you pinpoint the standard text-package's deficiency? it lacks what? what is the best work around?

How to use commit work as per the requirement?

Here i have a requirement about database table updation. I have to update a database table, at the time of doing commit work it has to check the following condition .
The data should be split up in different groups or records of no more than 2000 after which a commit to the database is executed.
So can anybody help me in this regard with a piece of code? and i want to know during updation how to lock the data base table and how to unlock? Is there any standard function modules to call regarding this locking and unlocking?

Logically you need to loop thru your records, lock the table for that record, update the table , unlock the tabel record, count the entires so far, andi f it is 2000 issue commit work.

How to use Webservice in Visual composer

We have developed a RFC in R3 and converted it into Webservice. We want to use this in the Visual composer. Can anyone suggest some steps how to use this RFC in Visual composer?
I tried the option in Tools--> Define webservice System and gave the following parameters:
new system name = WDP (system name which we use)
new system alias = WDP_VC (system alias which we created)
webservice url = URL of the webservice which we have created and got in WSDL
when we create it gives an error the URL is incorrect.
Kindly let me know if these values are correct and suggest the steps to be followed. Also, if there are any prerequiste steps to be done before using this webservice.

Hi,
The option you described refers to defining a new web service system in the portal system landscape. So if you already have it defined - you don't have to define it again.
As for the actual error you're getting, check that:
1. The url is indeed accessible, and points to a wsdl. You can do this by simply inserting it in the browser's address bar and making sure you get a wsdl file in the response.
2. Make sure that you don't need to authenticate, i.e. provide a user and password. Maybe you just forgot to provide these arguments.
Lastly, keep in mind that this 'Define Web Service System' option is just a shortcut. Generally, you would define a web service system in the portal, like any other system, using the web service connector.

We use SRM Server 5.5 with classic scenario.
We want to call RFC in R/3 from webdynpro ABAP.
How can we do that?
We are developing the web report using webdynpro abap.
So we need some of R/3 data such like PR(EBAN)and PO(EKKO,EKPO).
When user choose the search parameter, report diplay the Shopping cart, PR and PO data on webdynpro. So we call the R/3 RFC to display the PR, PO data.
But I tired to call the RFC in R/3, We could not call it.
How to call the RFC from R/3 to SRM, when we use webdynpro abap?

How to use RFC in 7.10?

I'm a little bit confused by the help on NW 7.10 SP7. I normally use RFC connections from web Dynpro but this time I have to use RFC from an EJB. As before I tried "SAP Enterprise Connector" which seems to be depricated.
I followed the example how to use Destination Service. It imports "cam.sap.mw.jco.JCO". After correcting one error in the given source (could never run that way), I get the JCO marked as deprecated as well. So this source code there seems to be a left over from NW 2004?
Is the destination service itself also depricated?
So I found out JCO is now depricated and I should use SAP Java Resource Adapter instead. Can I combine it with destination service or is there something similar as in web dynpro? For Ehp 1 I found this adaptive RFC package, but seems not to be available in 7.10?
What I clearly want to avoid is to give any user, password or system parameters in the source code as I'm used from Web Dynpro. Can I use the web dynpro mechanism maybe somehow?
Maybe someone can bring some light in all this

Not exactly. The deprecation means that the JCo API version is 2.X while JCo 3.0 is already available. However, this does not mean that you cannot use the "com.sap.mw.jco.JCO". I know lots of projects running even on 7.11 and 7.20 that still use the JCo 2.X.

Java Resource Adapter is just a new JEE container for JCo API. Still it's also has some problems. So I'd not recommend you to use it.

Use JCo 2.X + Destination Service. Ignore the API deprecation.

How to set the tables parameter to a BAPI using adaptive RFC model

I have a BAPI ZBAPI that has a tables parameter ZPernr of type ZTable with two elements pernr and name.
I used adaptive RFC model and created model classes for the BAPI.
My question how do i set list of pernr and name to the tables parameter in the webdynpro for java.
I have the following methods available
ZBAPI input = new ZBAPI();
1.ZTable table = new ZTable();
table.setPernr(pernr);
table.setname(name);
input.addZPernr(table);
how do i set the table parameter for multiple pernr and name
2.
add all the pernr and name to list and set that list to input in the following way
input.setZPernr(list) and list of typecom.sap.aii.proxy.framework.core. AbstractList
out of two methods mentioned which one is correct.
Please let me know the solution

 In your code:

pernrList should be declared as the type of class HROBJECT ( The structure name in the model e.g. the node PERFWARN type is Zhrecmfm_002_Perfrat_Warning_Input )
Try this:

input.setPernr_List(pernrList);

If you want to pass list of pernrs, you can pass in alternate way

To give u a brief idea.
rfcs are used to call data from the backend that is R/3.We use the Bapis from the R/3 system which have some pre defined functionality and data is populated in the correspoding ui elements in webdynpro interface.earlier Rfcs were used but now we have adaptive rfcs in which
if there are changes in the backend(R/3 system) such as changes in the datatype,structures,fields would be automatically be refllected in the rfcs and there would be no errors in web dyn pro even if there is a change in the back end
