  • Using KeyFilter Java Bean in Client Server Environment - Mr. Grover hope u r here !

    Hello,
    I will be grateful if some one can tell me how to use Keyfilter
    java bean in Forms 6.0 client server environment.
    Our requirement is to restrict entry in text field to just upper
    case characters at key punch rather than after navigating out of
    field.
    Thanx in advance.

    Are you using
    http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/products/forms/content.html#jbp
    jc
    Since the readme file shows exactly what you have to do.
    Basically you set the implementation class for a text field to
    point to this class and make sure this class is accessable.

  • Java server page compiler can not find a class defined in a java bean file

    I have a jsp file using java bean. The java bean class file is uploaded into the server and also the directory to this java bean .class file is included in the Unix environment CLASSPATH. This .jsp file is registered and should be compiled and excecuted automatically.
    WHen I try to invoke this .jsp file, the jsp compiler error, saying the class defined by java bean can not be found. I already include this path in teh CLASSPATH, I thought the jsp compiler will go to the right place according to CLASSPATH to find the referenced class.
    Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong or what should I do in order to allow jsp compiler to find the class refrenced by .jsp file and defined by java bean file?
    Thank you so much

    hello friends,
    i am also facing the same problem of not finding bean class files for both jsp and servlet though it is placed in same package. the problem of not finding bean class file for jsp is experienced in Tomcat server only whereas in Blazix, there is no such error and the file is compiled and runs successfully.
    i have checked Tomcat properly. there is no error in its configuration also servlets without the use of bean files run successfully. so please can anybody guide me about what is the problem and how to solve it. plz its urgent .

  • How to attach a java bean in forms6i

    Hi,
    I am new to oracle forms6i. i just want to ask on how to attach a java bean to forms6i.i did putting the full directory path to the implementation class but it has an error, bean not found. what should i do?
    Your help is highly appreciated.

    The implementation class should contain the package and class name of the bean e.g. com.groundside.beans.DateFieldBean, not a directory location. The bean itself is loaded from the JAR files specified to be downloaded with the applet.
    If you are running client server then you can't use JavaBeans this way - it's a web only feature.

  • How to handle the java.policy file ?

    Can somebody tell me how to handle the java.policy file?
    I always get java.net.SocketExceptions and java.security.AccessControlExceptions while connecting to an appserver from an applet.
    What do I have to write in the java.policy file, where do I have to place it and do I have to call it in some way form my applet?
    Thanks in advance.
    don call

    The java.policy file goes in your jre installation directory in .../jre/lib/security (there should be one there already).
    I used it to allow otherwise restricted permissions for an applet using javax.comm. Add something like the following to the file:
    grant codeBase "URL:http://yourDomainName/rootDirectoryOfYourApp/*" {
         permission java.security.AllPermission;
    This will give the applet downloaded from your site all permissions. You might want to give only certain permissions, I don't know.

  • How to make my java bean internationalization?

    hi,
    I have a project on tomcat. I have rewrite my jsp to multi-language according to user's browse language setting. User's language is English, the jsp shows them English. User's language is Chinese, the jsp shows them Chinese, and so on. But in my java bean code, some exception are thrown out with some message or alert. Can anybody tell me how to make these java beans show the language string acording to user's browse language setting?
    thx
    Pierre

    Dear one_dane,
    Thank you. That is a great document to me. The fact is that my owner code throws exception with a string. The code is:
    if(amount<0) throw new Exception("Please input correct amount.");
    If the code is in jsp, I can convert it to a internationalized String using struts tag <bean:message...>. But it is in a deep function of java class. So must I add a Locale object parameter to the function and all calling functions?
    thx
    yours,
    Pierre

  • Document about how to use each BI Bean

    Anyone know whether there is any document on how to use each BI Beans besides Bean's javadoc?

    I would recommend downloading the latest BI10g samples from the BI Beans website. Click here for downloads, demos and documentation for BI Beans 10.1.2.0.0.
    For the graph there is a lot of really good information located on the Reports OTN page. This explains how to use many of the features of the BI Beans graph and contains some really good examples of how to format a graph.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/reports/htdocs/faq/Graph_FAQ_with_style.html
    I would recommend reviewing the OU course on the BI Beans Query Model as this explains the basics of how to construct and manage queries:

    http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/show_desc.redirect?dc=D18655&p_org_id=1001&lang=US&source_call=
    The BI Beans query model supports powerful and flexible query techniques for analytic applications. This course explores this query model, both from an API perspective and a user interface perspective, with the goal of illustrating advanced query techniques for custom business intelligence applications.
    BI Beans 10g provides a lot of new features. We have a viewlet that explains in detail how to use one of the key new features: JSP list tags. This viewlet demonstrates a number of list tags, such as:
    * DimensionMember
    * CascadingDimensionMember
    * AWProgram
    * Navigation
    This viewlet can be viewed directly from the link on OTN:

    There are OBEs posted on OTN:

    Hi,
    I think you should not load the jar as java resource.
    And I think there is no need to tell to the java source that it have to use the JAR. It will automatically look for the library.
    You should load the jar file using the loadjava utility.
    If it can helps, here is how I proceed :
    /* LOAD .JAR FILE */
    loadjava -user your_user/password@host -resolve -verbose -nodefiner C:\jdevstudio1013\jdev\lib\your_lib.jar
    /* LOAD PROGRAM */
    loadjava -user your_user/password@host -resolve -verbose -nodefiner C:\jdevstudio1013\jdev\mywork\your_program.java
    /* CREATE THE PL/SQL FUNCTION */
    create or replace procedure your_function(arg1 in varchar2, arg2 in varchar2) authid current_user as
    language java name 'your_program.your_function(java.lang.String, java.lang.String)';
    /* EXECUTE */
    select your_function('hello','world') from dual;
