How to use external libraries and JAR files with OpenScript

Hello.
I am trying to include ApachePOI, JODATime, and Javamail in my scripts to handle different aspects of our automated performance tests.
I followed the documentation for Eclipse to be allowed to utilize these external libraries, however, when I attempt to run my tests the classes and methods that are being imported, show up with errors saying that they do not exist.
I think perhaps that I am using them incorrectly. I cannot see them as script assets, package assets, or project assets using the properties for these items. An error pops up and says those screens are not displaying correctly or display incorrect information.
If anyone can provide guidance on using these items, that would be great. Right now I'm trying to include them as "previously exported scripts" but I'm not sure that method will work.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Tiff
For OpenScript 9.* there is an out of the box solution for that, all you need to do in OpenScript go to:
Script -> Script Properties -> Script Assets -> Add -> jar File ....
And that is it.

  • How can I get a single jar file with NetBeans?

    How can I get a single jar file with NetBeans?
    When I create the project I get these files:
    dist/lib/libreria1.jar
    dist/lib/libreria2.jar
    dist/software.jar
    The libraries that have been imported to create the project are in separate folders:
    libreria1/libreria1.jar
    libreria2/libreria2.jar
    libreria1, libreria2, dist folders are all located inside the project folder.
    I added the following code to the build.xml:
    <target name="-post-jar">
    <jar jarfile="dist/software.jar">
    <zipfileset src="${dist.jar}" excludes="META-INF/*" />
    <zipfileset src="dist/lib/libreria1.jar" excludes="META-INF/*" />
    <zipfileset src="dist/lib/libreria2.jar" excludes="META-INF/*" />
    <manifest>
    <attribute name="Main-Class" value="pacco.classeprincipale"/>
    </manifest>
    </jar>
    </target>
    Of course there is also the project folder:
    src/pacco/classeprincipale.form
    src/pacco/classeprincipale.java
    Can you tell me what is wrong? The error message I get is as follows:

  • How to use external libraries jar files in the composite application?

    Hi,
    I have some external jars files (which consists of java classes) that I would like to use in my composite application.
    I have created a DC with type as external library for the jars.  However, I don't know how to specify the DC to be used in my caf application.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    My jar files consists only java classes and a manifest.mf. The files are compiled using jdk 1.4.2-b28.  Will this be any issue?
    It seems that if I ignore the error and continue step 7 which is to do deployment of the ear, the error given is
    Cannot update it.
    Caused by: com.sap.engine.library.bytecode.cf.CFException: Invalid constant pool tag, 60 at index 41.
    Does anyone know what that mean?
    Is there any sample that teach how to deploy external libraries as bundled library?
    Thanks.

  • How to use Stylesheets packaged in JAR file

    Hi,
    I would like to package XSL files in a JAR. The stylesheet may import other XSL files. For example:
    <xsl:import href="demos.xsl">
    <xsl:import href="table.xsl">
    where the original stylesheet and the imported stylesheets (demos.xsl and table.xsl) are all located in this package: com.company.xsl
    Is there a way for the transformers to retrieve the files from the JAR?
    Possibly another complication is that this JAR file is loaded at runtime.
    Any suggestions would be of great help. Thanks!

    Thanks that worked.
    However, is it possible to use a relative path? Right now it only works if the absolute path is used:
    <xsl:import href="jar:file:///c:/applications/bin/myjar.jar!/com/company/xsl/table.xsl" />
    It would be nice if this worked instead:
    <xsl:import href="jar:file:///./bin/myjar.jar!/com/company/xsl/table.xsl" />

  • Libraries and JAR files in netbeans... how to build and deploy a project??

    Hi guys,
    <p>
    I'm having a problem deploying my project. I have created a project structure as so:
    </p>
    <p>
    CLOGE 1.0
    |_Source Packages
    |  |_rdemo
    |    |_ClogeGUI.java [main]
    |    |_ClogeRScript.java
    |_Libraries
       |_Swing Layout Extensions - swing-layout-1.0.jar
       |_C:\CLOGE\JRclient [folder structure of classes]
       |  |_META-INF
       |  |_org.rosuda.JRclient
       |_C:\CLOGE\svgSalamander-tiny [folder structure of classes]
       |  |_META-INF
       |  |_com.kitfox.svg
       |  |_...
       |_JDK 1.6 (Default)
    </p>
    <p>
    Now I can build and run the project in Netbeans (version 5.5) and everything operates as it should. However, if I navigate to the dist folder of the project to the CLOGE_1.0.jar file via the Windows XP Command Prompt and execute "java -jar "CLOGE_1.0.jar", I get this error:
    </p>
    <p>
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/rosuda/JRclient/RSrvException<br/>
      at rdemo.ClogeGUI.clogeRScript(ClogeGUI.java:134)<br/>
      at rdemo.ClogeGUI.main(ClogeGUI.java:259)<br/>
    </p>
    <p>
    What do I have to do, so I can simply double-click the CLOGE_1.0.jar file and the project runs?
    </p>
    <p>
    Many thanks,<br/>
    Chris

    Wasn't contracted. Wasn't paid. Wasn't the main focus of the software ;) - I was asked to do it for my technical expertise in statistics and bioinformatics... anyone else here mind giving me some hints other than this unspeakably pathetic excuse for a programmer.
    (by the way "jwenting", if you call yourself a professional and take that attitude to other programmers you won't be in a company very long! Don't jump to assumptions and don't use the internet as some portal to exercise anger that women don't find you attractive and all you have to be cocky about is programming, it's pathetic. Grow up please.
    What I am trying to work out about the answer above, is why. It could mean (1) that you don't know the answer and shunning me so is some poor attempt to save your diminishing ego, which from reading your other posts may be true. It could mean (2) you can't be arsed, which is more likely the case, but then one has to ask why the hell you came on here in the first place. Do you get a kick out of this? Is this your claim to fame - a java forum silver member?? It's not like I wasn't polite or clear in my explanation. Did some unqualified individual steal your job from you once upon a time so all "newbies" thereafter were a target for your pent up aggression? If so, don't worry I am not gunning for your position at all!)
    Many thanks to anyone who can provide a solution. I doubt this is a hard problem to solve and I'd be very grateful if anyone could point me in the direction of an answer. jwentig is quite right, I am not capable of such a task. I'm not a liar, however.

  • How to use external libraries in EP

    Hi!
    I am with dificulties in utilizing an external ".jar" file in a Portal application (JSPDynPage). The ".jar" file is the JSTL 1.0 version. It compiles and is exported correctly (SNDS to Portal), but give me an error at runtime (NullPointerException). There is any restrictions in utilizing external ".jar"s files, e.g., not especific/proprietary versions?
    Regards,
    Alex

    hi,
    You can place the external .jar files under dist/PORTAL-INF/lib . By placing the external jars it would certainly run
    The other way  is as follows
    1. Go to navigation perspective
    2. Get into the project\lib folder of the your project. copy the jar files into it
    4. Right click on the project
    5. Click on properties
    6. Click on java build path
    7. Go to libraries tab
    8. click on Add Jars button
    9. Select the jar in your project
    11. Recompile
    12. Deploy
    Hope it helps..

  • How to use methods from a JAR file inside my springcontext (Oracle fusion 12c) class file?

    Dear Friends,
    I have a jar file, which has executed classes and methods in it. I want to make use of these methods inside my springcontext piece of code.
    Can someone please share an example  of how to write spingcontext code which is accessing classes/methods from  JAR files along with the any setup?
    Thanks,

    I have found the answer... as described in:
    http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/lang/resources.html
    the problem was that the properties are loaded with the getResource & getResourceAsStream methods and I didn't know that one. I thought that is was loaded through findClass because I saw the property files trying to be loaded through findClass.
    The truth is that it tries to load with the getRessources methods and if it fails tries with the findClass/loadClass.
    To Fix the problem, I have simply overriden the getRessourceAsStream to do my magic and that was it.
    Thanks

  • How can I include 3rd party jar files with my custom extention?

    I'm writing an extension that is dependent upon some 3rd party jars. How can I include/package these with my extension?
    we're using the 11g tech preview
    thanks,
    Dylan

    Do you mean that you need these files to appear in JDeveloper as a library available for the developers who build a project and use your extension?
    You can create a library in JDeveloper with JAR files by simply adding the following to your extension.xml file:
    <jdeveloper-hook xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/jdeveloper/1013/extension">
    - <libraries xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/jdeveloper/1013/jdev-libraries">
    <library name="My Extension Library">
    <classpath> ${ide.extension.install.home}/lib/some.jar</classpath>
    </library>
    </jdeveloper-hook>

  • How to use management chain and escalation hierarchies with LDAP

    Hi,
    I have experienced now with the management chain pattern and escalation feature. I have used the standard file-based security provider (JAZN and user-properties.xml). You can easily define a user hierarchy using the user-properties.xml file to define the escalation path and the management chain in terms of hierarchy levels.
    In a production environment in most cases you will use LDAP as the security provider. I wonder if it is possible to define such an user hierarchy in LDAP. I now you can create a role-based hierarchy, but in cases this will be to much and you need user based hierarchy.
    Another issue is that you can also define a highest level op approval. Hower you onlyonly define manager/director/ceo, used in the user-properties.xml file. How can you tell jdeveloper to use other custom roles?
    Does anyone has experience of suggentions om this issue?
    Kind regards,
    -Tom

    Tom,
    I can address parts of your question, please see below:
    How can you tell jdeveloper to use other custom roles?JDeveloper picks up users from the Integration Server connection. So, if the server is configured with the LDAP configured server, you will see users and groups from that registry. JDeveloper (the human task editor dialog) does not go directly against the LDAP.
    I wonder if it is possible to define such an user hierarchy in LDAPYes. That is the way it has been designed.
    I now you can create a role-based hierarchy, but in cases this will
    be to much and you need user based hierarchy.Making a user specific hierarchy has problems - what if a user leaves the company? The role based hierarchies solve this problem very well. May be I misunderstand your question.
    I will have a colleague, who works on identity management, look at your question.
    Regards,
    Sidda.

  • Using Cpp code and header files with LV8 CIN

    Hello,
    I have three pieces of C++ code and their header files that are called from a Main C++ code.  I want to call these from a LV8, code interface node (CIN).  I have the C++ compiler installed on teh same machine as LV8.  My questions are:
    1) How do I call the C++ code anf the header files from the LV CIN?  I have never doen this. Is there a concise manul for this somewhere?  Teh last thing any self-respecting engineer wants to do is read the manual.
    2)  Once I successfully call teh C++ and header files from within the CIN, can I create a LV runtime executable, just as I can with any other LV8 .vi?  Will this runtime .exe run stand-alone as a distribuatble application?  Do I need to include any special runtime files when I build the exectuable to support teh C++ code?
    Thank you.

  • How to use both wired and wireless connection with static addresses

    Now that I have setup my home network with static addresses (router, mini1, mini2 and PC) in the way I want, (big thanks to BDAqua http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1271635&tstart=0) I would like to understand some more advanced network concepts.
    I would like to change the network so that I use both the wireless connection and the built-in ethernet connection at the same time in my Mac mini1. I would like to connect my PC to my Mac mini by using the wired ethernet connection so that I reach the Internet from my PC as well. I would also like to be in control of all the addresses therefore I want to assign the addresses manually.
    The question: What addresses should I use between mini1 and PC? Should I use the same wireless address space as I already use between the wireless router and the other computers (router: 192.168.1.1, mini1: 192.168.1.101, mini2: 192.168.1.103) or should I use something totally different like 10.X.X.X? What should I put in ethernet connection "Router"-field, the same as in Airport (192.168.1.1)? What about DNS, same as in Airport?

    If I understand this correctly, you wish your Mini to perform Internet Sharing for your PC, correct!?
    If so you'll pretty much have to let the Mini handle DHCP & NAT on the Ethernet port. You also want to be sure Airport is dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations, that's what position the Mini will use 1st for Internet itself.
    On the Mini turn on both Web Sharing & Internet Sharing. The PC once connected will have the Mini's Ethernet IP as it's Gateway addy.
