I use jt cs5 and test a file like pic show, when run, it told document is not define.
what's wrong with it? function is as follow,

the clue is document is indefine, why take place such problem?
document class shouldn't be included in the tools plateform?

Using javascript is against the standard. I can tell you a workaround instead of you setting the javascript, check if that would be acceptable.
You can use PPR and set the required property on the messageTextInput on clicking of the radio button. By doing this you will let UIX generate the javascript for you to handle the client side validation. But the validation will happen only on click of the submit button. The visual indicator is good enough to tell that the value has to be entered to the item.

I am using JDeveloper and I created a screen in JSP which uses a bean for database connectivity and retriving info onto the page.
The page has a ListBox where list items are populated from the database.My requirement is
whenever the list is changed the page shuold be refreshed with the selected item info.
I tried to use 'JavaScript' for triggering the event with 'onChange' event of the ListBox.But the event is not getting invoked. I think JavaScript is not working with JSP.
Please help me with how to Use javaScript with JSP or any other alternative where I can meet my requirement.
I have one more question...I have gone through the JSP samples in OTN and I am trying do download the sample 'Travel servlet' which show list of countries...etc
I have also gone through the 'readme' but I don't know how to extract .jar file.
I would be great if you could help me in this.

We have a similar need. We have used Cold Fusion to display data from Our Oracle Database. We have a simple SElect Box in HTML populated with the oracle data. When someone selects say the State of Pennsylvania. then we have an On change event that runs a Javascript to go get all the cities in Pennsylvania.
Proble we are having is that inorder for the Javascript to work , we currently have to send all the valid data.

Because the HTML is rendered by the bean, I'm not able to refer to the HTML controls in the JSP page. If you are trying to display total number of pages in a report, Add the below formula in the column of the report and hide that column in the report.
FX = sum(count(1))/25
You can then reference the column in the narrative view like this: "Total pages in the report are @5" and out put may be "Total Pages in the report are 30".
Or
You can also use something like the below:
To calculate them use fi:
CEILING(CAST(RCOUNT("FactColumn In the Report (Sum All)") as DOUBLE)/ 25) for the page number
CEILING(CAST(COUNT("FactColumn In the Report (Sum All)") as DOUBLE)/ 25) for the total pages
Put the above formula in the column and reference it in the narrative view like I mentioned in the previous example.

If you have 10,000 or less, CATT is a reasonable method, but I would suspect that you have far more than that if you're needing to load transactions.
LSMW is probably a better way to go if you have more than 10k, but I am not familiar with LSMW

Look on your computer. Under the directory where your JDK is installed you'll find a "docs" directory. Under that there's a "tooldocs" directory and in that there's a file "tools.html". Look in there.

Hi, yes sorry I mean colour overlay.
Here's an example. If you fill a layer with the paint bucket tool using red. And then give that same layer a 'colour overlay' of blue. When you use the eye dropper tool it will give you the red colour. I was just wondering if there's a key I can press at the same time as using the eyedropper tool that will set the foreground colour (2 squares at the bottom of the tools toolbar) to blue in this case, rather than the underlying red.

If you want to dynamically set a value for a text field, there are two approaches you can use:
1. use javascript (the browser language) and then for your <body> element's onload handler, invoke a javascript method that sets your form value.
2. use java (the compiled language) and databind the "text" attribute of messageTextInput to a dataobject that gives the current date. If all you're looking to do is bind to the current date, I'd recommend this approach.

At wits end on how to use line tool as guide? Not even sure if correct.

I have been trying for hours but maybe it just isn't possible. This would seem to be the simplist way to do but maybe a better way?
I have an area of a subject that I am trying to divide into four triangular segments. I need to shade each area seperately. I have drawn two individual lines that intersect, giving me the required shaped spaces. Nothing was allowing me to work within each area until I used the magnetic lasso to individually select a quadrant. Once I did so I was able to fill the quadrant with color. The problem is when I hide the layer that was created just for the line, (because I DON'T want the line in the picture,) my entire result disappears, the line AND the color.
I have tried many different ways to do this, I can't even list them all. The program automatically created a shape layer for each line. If I hide one of the shape line layers I can still see the result but when I hide the second line shape layer the shaded area and the line go away.
What am I doing wrong? Is there another way to accomplish what I want to do?

You don't have to (see my previous reply), but if you think you might want to experiment with different colours for the shading then I suggest you add a Solid Color Fill Adjustment Layer - one for each quadrant. Then it's easy to experiment with different colours - just double-click in the adjustment layer color section.
If you've not used these before you work slightly differently. First select a quadrant , then add your Solid Fill Layer. Now if you need to refine the edges, with the layer selected, you paint in black or white. White lets your selected colour show through, black conceals it - this is because you are using a mask. In the layers panel you can see which areas are applied or not from the mask thumbnail.
Give it a try. The other thing with this technique is you can experiment with the different blending options and opacity to achieve a specific result.

I am using function module " BAPI_WARRANTYCLAIM_ADD_VERSION ".
It needs to copy all contents of previous version to a new version.
While doing so i am unable to copy fields like valic valoc etc. Any ways by which i can copy this values.
WTY will update PNWTYH , PNWTYV and PVWTY tables.
