How to use LDAP validations in flex

Hi All,
I am working with Flex 2.0. in my application i have to
validate the controls of LDAP. Suppose if i enter wrong dn in a
textInput field it has to show the alert message.
please give some suggestions how to validate the ldap
controls within flex application.

So you have multiple fields, but on at least one of them if it's valid you immediately want to execute the query?
You could create a hidden field in a control block Query_Now default 'N'. In a WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM on your item, if it's determined to be valid, then set Query_Now to 'Y'.
In a WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE at block level, check if Query_Now is 'Y'. If it is then execute the query (and set it back to 'N').

For example you can create a simple BPEL Process and you can throw an error during running process. If input data is not valid and format is not correct you can throw error using throw activity and using catch activity you can catch particular error. The catch-all will handle all the error occurred with the scope.

How to use LDAP with Oracle forms 10g on Oracle application server

Hi,
I need some help on this. I have developed oracle forms 10g on application server 9iAS. The client want to use the existing LDAP authentication to the software we wrote. I do not know how I could configure to use the existing LDAP authentication . If anyone know how would I use the existing LDAP on different server to use when they logon to our menu in 10g to validate the user. Do I need to add any varibales in formweb.cfg or any other method. Please help.

I am not quite sure if this works out of the box. According to an Oracle FAQ:
4.2 Can I use LDAP to authenticate Forms Services?
Not directly. However, Oracle Login Server is able to authenticate against a LDAP directory and thus a Forms application can take advantage of this in a SSO environment. But you cannot use access control information stored in a LDAP directory with Forms.

Hmm, your code seems a bit to complicated. Here's what I do:
The RemoteObject:

Observations:
1. yourAMFPHPClassName is the name of the folder in amfphp\services that contains the PHP classes.
2. ThePHPFile is the PHP class file (without the extension) in the yourAMFPHPClassName folder.
3. You need the <mx:method name="..." .../> to define the function in the PHP class you want to call. The theFunctionYouWantToCall must be the exact name of the function in the PHP class (case sensitive).
The ActionScript part:

Flash and Flex are doing transitions very differently.
In Flex, for example,

Flex has a very limited support for HTML, thus you cannot
create a full featured editor within flex. The only work arounds I
have seen are done using IFRAME's over your app.
Not sure if it an option, however Apollo does a good job of
addressing this issue by allowing full feature Javascript and HTML.

How to use portlet:namespace in flex files?

Iam developing a portlet whose UI is flex. using MXML and action script.
Portlets require that their UI elements be unique to each portlet, so we use <portlet:namespace> for each ID, vars, functions etc..
My question is how should i use this tag in my UI?

How to use LDAP authentication in Oracle Linux

Hi All,
In Oracle Linux 2.6.18-194 el5, goes to system->Administration->Authentication, enabled LDAP in both User Information and Authentication, tried to use network user account information to log in the linux machine but it did not work.
The login screen waits over 10 minutes after enter username and password each and then says usename and password is not corrent.
LDAP Settings only asked two information LDAP Search Base on and LDAP Server. We have another application which uses same LDAP server works fine.
How to make Oracle linux server as LDAP client for user longin?
