How to use PKGBUILD posts?

I'm trying to install dvdauthor, and someone made a PKGBUILD thingie and posted it in the forum. That's great, but how do I use it?
I'm assuming save the text to a file (with something like gedit?) and then name it something, make it executable and run it? Is that roughly how it's done? If so or if not, how do I use these things?

Oh, one more thing...does the process you explained actually install the package too, or just make the package for use with pacman? This should be obvious I know, but when trying to run dvdauthor I get command not found.

In APEX if we are submitting the page the parameters( Variables ) will pass through URL.No they won't. Submission POSTs the <tt>wwv_flow</tt> form.
Sometimes a branch may be performed after submission, generating a URL in which parameter values are visible. To avoid this, use the save state before branching option.
Other actions—like using navigation lists, or clicking a link in a report—will perform a GET using parameters in the URL. In these cases using Session State Protection is advised.

How to use method POST to send XML using utl_http?

Hi,
I am trying to work out how to use the POST method to mimic submitting data from a HTML form, using utl_http.
I cannot use SOAP for this as the people I am sending the data to are just expecting an XML document to be sent to a standard CGI script running on their web server.
There is a lot of documentation on how to submit data using the POST method (using Utl_Http.Write_Text etc), but I cannot find anything that tells me how to submit form variables.
The examples on OTN say this:
"Alternatively use method => 'POST' and Utl_Http.Write_Text to
build an arbitrarily long message"
but don't tell me how to actually place the data into the required input parameters of the CGI program I am hitting.
I need to hit a URL such as
www.asite.com/cgiprogram
and pass in a parameter, eg
in_param="test+data"
I am currently doing this as a GET, which works, but the XML document I am passing in could potentially be bigger than the GET method will allow.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi friends, I need to send POST values to a external URL from APEX application to proccess a credit card and later receive the POST values to save the transaction, also the fields require have a personalized name, APEX create the field with standar names properly from APEX.

I'm assuming you mean that you will be posting your page form to an external URL. This also means that the items in the form will need to have the element name be a certain name expected by the external URL. Look at Re: item name isn't what i specified to how to do this.
Basically, in the page HTML Header add a javascript function to change the name of the page items and then change the submit to go to the external website. Add to the On Load section to call the javascript when the page is loaded.

ok so all this time i see people talking about they have some pkgbuilds for arch and give some code that they call it pkgbuild , but i cant seem to find the way to use this code, i looked on the wiki with the word "pkgbuild" and it showes me something about kernel and pkgbuild , and alos looked on the forum with "pkgbuild" and it shows some topics but nothing about how to use pkgbuild.

How to communicate with a remote application that uses http post to request connection

Ok, I will try to make this simple as to avoid any
confusion.
I am trying to receive connection requests from remote applications installed on user pc's.
The application uses POST method to send the request to connect to my database, and if required update some tables.
The application is not a webpage. I have no access to the internal workings of the application nor do I have any specific information about how it sends its POST. I am sure of the following:
The app will POST to my .cfm page
"IsConnectionAllowed" = "yes"
This is asking my cfm page if its ok to connect. I would need to use a <cfif> to verify the the first part of the POST is in fact
"IsConnectionAllowed" = "yes"
If this returns true, (the app also uses to POST to pass "username" and "password") my .cfm page will then perform a query and check the username and password against the database. If a matching record is found, the application expects my page to reply with
"#Answer# OK- connected;"
Once the answer is given the application will then respond with data to insert or update my tables.
Now, I know how to do the queries and update tables etc, but I have never received data from an application before.
I tried using the <cfform> tag with a mehod of GET, and then trying to send my reply with <cfoutput>, but that didn't work. The application doesn't give any feedback or error messages. It either connects or not.
I also tried the <cfhttp> tag, but that didnt work either. I am not very experinced with coldfusion. I used it years ago and am just getting back into it.
I am sure this is a pretty easy thing to do, but my methods arent working.
Using the above information, can somone please show me how I would accomplish this communication? I can then use the same method to retrieve the data for my table updates and queries.
Here is a sample of what I have already tried:

That code allowed me to connect!
I have an error on the remote application, but I think thats due to the fact that I commented out the database connection and query strings. As I am mostly concerned with connection at this point, I just wanted to test that my cfm page will recognise the POST request and send the right answer, In this case
##Answer## Ok - connected;
That worked perfectly and the application received the ok to connect.
I can now use your code as a base to carry on with my database connection and update query.
I can't thank you enough. I wouldnt have figured that out in a million years of trial and error.
I knew it was simple though. I was over thinking it.
I do have one last question though... In the code you presented you have

Can you you explain this structKeyExists(Form,"isConnectionAllowed")
I have never seen this before. Why the Form followed by a comma? I am guessing you are asking if there is an element in the POST called "isConnectionAllowed". Is that correct? If so, do I not need to do that for each POST'ed element such as username, password, and each of the other fields that will be updated in the session?

You have to pass Header and GM code as the INput parameters for uing this BAPI....GM code would be structure.
Also you have to pass the INternal table Item for the goods mvt cxreate which will contains
      BATCH.
      MOVE_TYPE.
      ENTRY_QNT.
      MOVE_PLANT.
      MOVE_STLOC.
      MOVE_BATCH.
      MOVE_REAS
these parameters.

How to use function to Post with Clearing - Partial Pymnt with FB05

but it seems that the function is only for Post with Clearing-Standard Screen, how to use that function to post with clearing - partial pymnt or Res. Items???

If you post partiall payment you don't clear the invoice. Just post a normal item and fill the connection with the invoice, filling fields rebzg, rebzj, rebzz.

How to Invoke service using HTTP POST in BPEL?

I have a client using .net service with a web page http://.../httpreceive.aspx which is invoke through an http post. How can we post xml message using http post to the url in BPEL. Are there any documentation on doing this? Will this require writing a java class to do an http post the xml message to the url?

I created a wsdl with the http-binding to do a HTTP Post and I'm getting a com.collaxa.cube.ws.wsif.providers.http.WSIFOperation_HTTP@1ac9964 : Could not invoke 'process'; nested exception is: java.lang.NullPointerException.

[Solved] Question on how to use (install -d...) in PKGBUILDs

Been looking in on how to use 'install' in PKGBUILDS. I've looked at the PKGBUILD entries in the wiki and there isn't any mention on this (possibly I missed it??). I notice that these are in Makefiles and looked on the net but maybe my google-fu is lacking at the moment. I've got that:
install -d ${pkgdir}/opt
Will create an /opt directory in the pkg directory, and that:
install -m 755 ${srcdir}/${pkgname}-${pkgver}/file ${pkgdir}/opt/
Will install that file in the pkg dir. So I have a couple questions:
1) How do I install an entire directory into the pkg dir?
2) How do I create a link to /usr/bin?
2) What else is good to know if I have to manually install files/folders???
Here's the current PKGBUILD I'm working on:

Didn't realize I asked such a complicated question.
I thought that install was a built in command of 'make' that's why I asked but I just found out it has a man page. It's pretty technical though so I'd wouldn't mind if a someone would help me with basic usage.
Yes, I considered using 'ln' but I've read before that PKGBUILDs should use install instead of cp or mv. Thinking now that this is not the case with 'ln'???
For installing an entire folder I looked at the install man page that says that -d "treat(s) all arguments as directory names" so would:
install -m 755 ${srcdir}/${pkgname}-${pkgver}/folder ${pkgdir}/opt/
Copy a folder and it's contents? Newbie question, I know, but first time using install, would appreciate any help.
