How to use range for a field that is not in select options

Dear All,
I have a requirement to show Long Text of a G/L account , where G/L account is between a given range. But this field is not in select options. I have to show Long Text of this Account, if the field is in a given range. I have tried to use RANGE , but RANGE is not working here. Please help with some sample codes.
Note: The range is too high so I cant use IN operator.

Declare a range as :
ranges : r_hkont for bseg-hkont.
fill in the values
r_hkont-sign = 'I'.
r_hkont-option = 'BT'.
r_hkont-low = '26000000'.
r_hkont--high = '2999999'.
append r_hkont.
Select sgtxt from bseg into text
where bseg-hkont in r_hkont.

Please check the where conditon correctly.
You may not be considering the all select option fileds in where condition.
Check.
or Use ..
Delete from Itab where <field> not in <S_field>.

How to use PIVOT for varchar field

Have data (records) as such:
Joe, Smith, PersonType1
Joe, Smith, PersonType2
Joe, Smith, PersonType3
Joe, Smith, PersonType4
Joe, Smith, PersonType5
However need to present it within ONE row per/Person with the PersonType in columns within this same row:

How to make OWB ignore a field that is not mapped.

Hi,
We're using OWB 10.1.
I'm just doing a simple load from a flat file to a regular table.
I discovered that the data file is missing an entire field or column of data.
The field is not necessary so I'm continuing the load.
I just remapped the OWB map so it doesn't not pull data from the last field in the data file.
When it created the control file to do the load, the last field that was unmapped in the OWB map was re-designated as 'DECIMAL EXTERNAL'.
Then when the map runs to load the data, I get an error message of
Record 1: Rejected - Error on table "STAGING"."TCMBBX", column "PAID_AMOUNT".
Column not found before end of logical record (use TRAILING NULLCOLS)So it looks like OWB is still trying to include the last field in the load for some reason when I had unmapped the field in OWB.
My question is how can one un-map a field or not map a field in OWB and then have OWB ignore the field when running the load?
This is regarding removing the map line drawn from a field in the data file to a field in the staging table.

Feature Request: A way for edit-field text to not be selected by default.

edit_field text is selected by default, which means as soon as the user starts typing, pre-existing content is wiped out - not cool...

I've found a partial workaround to this: Once the dialog is showing, if the you first assign the empty string and then assigned the desired value:
edit_field.value = ""
edit_field.value = desiredValue
then the contents of the field are not left selected. This works when setting the contents from, say, the result of a button push, but I haven't figured out how to initially show the contents unselected.

How can i search for a color that is not in the color palette? (CS 5.5)

I have a client, that has used a certain color in a series of textfields throughout the document.
The color consists of all 4 CMYK colors and needs to be just Keycolor. However the color is not in the swatches menu, so marking it there and changing it won't work. I have downloaded a script that might have worked, but it could only find colors that were in the swatches palette. (Find / Change by Color / Overprint" version 1.2).
Ofcourse, creating a similar color and adding it to the swatches doesn't work.
Is there anyway that i can search for the color or does it really have to be done manually.

You can only search for real, actually existing swatches. No sweat: use "Add Unnamed Colors" in the Swatch panel dropdown menu to get a list of all of the manually applied colors.
Since you want to change all of them to the same color, you don't even have to use Search/Replace. Simply delete the new colors and select the one you need in the "Replace With" dialog that appears.

My account states I'm authorized 5 computers however I only have 2 computers that are working, how do you account for the 3 that are not working

If a computer is authorized but is discarded withour deauthorizing, it continues to count as an authorized computer.
But, it is simple enough to "Deauthorize All" and then re-authorize just the ones that you are still really using.

I can see why that would be frustrating! Have you tried selecting Stayed Signed In underneath the Adobe ID and Password boxes when you try to log in?
What did you use to create the PDF form? If you used FormsCentral, form data is saved to your online FormsCentral account. If you have Acrobat, you can export form data as described here: Adobe Acrobat X Pro * Manage form data files

Yes you can have same number range for different fields by using the same domain to the data elements that are user to your two fields.
To see the range:
Go to SE11,Type table Name open it-->double click on the DataElement adjasent to the field name ,You will get Domian ,Double click on Domain You will get Domain.There See Value range option .Value range cam also be defined by Value Table which will also at the Doamin level.

I have a query in validating the date field in my BSP application. My application is for maintain infotype 0023 Other/Previous Employers online by employees in the company.
As per our design we are maintaining the all employment details of the employee both ( with in the current company / previous employment outside the company) in the same infotype.
Every employee will have a hiring date within the SAP HR system. We consider this date as the cutoff date between current and previous employment in our application. When the employee updating the details wia BSP page I need to check the following.
Record inside current company: Validation that, the user should only able to enter BEGIN DATE (BEGDA) greater than or equal HIRING DATE and END DATE(ENDDA) should be greater than FROM DATE (BEGDA).
Record outside current Company: Validation that, the user should only able to enter BEGIN DATE (BEGDA) less than or equal HIRING DATE and END DATE (ENDDA) should be greater than FROM DATE (BEGDA) and less than HIRING DATE.
Technical Requirement:
How to set a date range for date field, i.e. how we can limit the date range in a HTMLB date field? Can this it be achieved via standard functionality of HTMLB?

 Can anyone tell me how to find the ranges for a field.
1, i.e say I want the Ranges Structure for the field LIFNR.
 The ranges structure for this is "RANGE_LIFNR".
 This I used in my Program since I know it previously.
 But now I want the ranges structure for the field VBELN (Delivery Document).
 I don't know what is it !!!!!
2, Is there any procedure to know the ranges structure for a particular field ?

Hi Deepu,
Using 'Where used list' you can able to find out RANGES tables.
For VEBLN range table is --> CRM_AC_ASSIGN_VBELN
If you using a program defined as shown below.
DATA: r_vbeln type ranges of vbeln.
The above statement also creates ranges structure in Runtime.
Procedure finding range table structures
go to SE37 -> Enter domain or dataelement value
Go to where used list --> search for 'Structures'
After getting all structure --> Click 'SEARCH' butoon in tool bar --> Search for 'RANGES' word
You can get all ranges tables in the search window

Hello there Anil,
A simple way to quickly get a overview is to look at the request history within the portal environment (note that this will expire in a few day based on your environment, after that you would need to FIM Reporting Module - but you could increase this to
maybe 60 days to so, watch the DB size).
To do this you could create some custom search scopes of do some custom queries. The creator of the SSPR activities always has the same GUID so you can use that so search.
In your search scope you can use the following XPath to play with.
- All Password Reset Requests - /Request[Creator='b0b36673-d43b-4cfa-a7a2-aff14fd90522' and Operation='Put']
- All Completed Password Reset Requests - /Request[Creator='b0b36673-d43b-4cfa-a7a2-aff14fd90522' and RequestStatus=‘Completed']
You can play with the "RequestStatus".

So, i have bad news for you : you'll have to rebuild again.
Meanwhile i have excellent news for you : there's an online tool made by Johannes Henseler called Sidecar xml which builds the necessary xml file for you, sort of what you find in the Digital Publishing Folio Editor website, but saves it in your Folio folder.
Next time you import all your folder (with that file), it will place all the necessary information, and even reorder the articles.
Build once, play many times.
