How to use VBA to View PDF file and use an OCR object?

As subject, I need to use VBA to open PDFs via Acrobat. Convert images to texts. And get some key words from the documents.
But I cannot find the API for VBA from SDK.

The API for VB is part of the "Interapplication Communication" section, specifically the part for "OLE". You can also use much of the JavaScript API through a VB:JavaScript linkage.
I don't know if there is an API to running OCR.

In my application i am using PDF.js library to view the pdf files. Now i want to fetch the bookmark details which was already set in the pdf page. How could i get the those bookmark details by using pdf.js library. is there any specific methods available in pdf.js library to get that?

I asked #pdfjs and we would need you to clarify what you mean by "bookmark"
This is where the bookmarks in a pdf are populated [https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/blob/master/web/viewer.js#L1032] however you will have to customize what to do with them.

I want to use preview to view pdf files without trashing the adobe plug-ins?

Some of the government web sites that I need to visit regularly require me to use firefox and adobe for opening and viewing files. I would like to still be able to use Safari and Preview for opening, viewing and printing files from other web sites. Before the latest adobe update this was no problem, but now Adobe seems to have taken control over the viewing and printing settings so that even though I try printing from a Safari viewer window I get an Adobe message that this is not supported. I tried to search for an answer as I suppose I am not the only one having this problem after the most recent Adobe update. Thanks for your great help everyone. /Christian

HELP! opening a pdf file and using page view

Hi everyone!
I'm doing a school project in which I'm trying to develop an app that opens a pdf file from the device memory (ipad or iphone) and lets the user turn pages forward and backward by swiping on the screen. Although I have very basic knowledge of C++ and Objective C programming, I find myself completely lost and don't know how nor where to start. I'd be pleased if you could help me or at least give me a starting point to develop my app.

If you still would like to use Ibooks you can add Collections. i.e.. work pdf's
View your collections, add a new one.
Now go to the pdf's you want to add to that collection and move them to the new collection you have just created.

PDFs are not designed to be editable. Your engineers can make comments using Adobe Reader without any extra steps provided they use the highlight and sticky note comments. I scanned some large documents, which were two sided. Because they were printed on glossy paper, I could not scan the pages double sided. So I made two files, one file containing all the even pages and one file containing all the odd pages. Now I have two problems: 1. the pages in the even pages file are in the reversed order, so I need to reverse the order of all the pages in this file. Then I need to combine these two files (collate) so that all the odd and even pages are combined into one single file and all the pages are in the correct order.
In older acrobat pro programs (windows) I found a javascript file that could fix all this. However now I have Acrobat XI and I have a macbook pro, so now I'm completely lost. Can anyone help me with this problem?

If you have a script that does it then you should use it... Open the console and run this command:
app.getPath("app", "javascript");
It will print out the location you need to use for the .js file you have. Then restart Acrobat and you should be good to go.
