How to view Crystal Report reports in Xcelsius?

Hi Friends,
                 I want a step by step How to view Crystal Report reports in Xcelsius? Thanks in advance!
Vijay

Hi Vijay,
this is unfortunately not possible in that direction.
What would work, is to use an Xcelsius model inside a Crystal Report. A guide to do that can be found here:

  • How to View Crystal 9 reports using SEAM framework

    Experts,
    I was wondering if there is a tutorial or posts anywhere that would help me, or at least point me in the right direction, to some development ideas on viewing Crystal 9 reports using a SEAM framework.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

    Not aware of anything. This is actually the first time I hear of SEAM framework (call me ignorant).
    I suspect posting to the SEAM forum may be an idea. I searched there, but did not find anything at all. Also, reading a bit on SEAM, try to post your query to the Java Development - Crystal Reports forum:
    SAP Crystal Reports, version for Eclipse
    Perhaps they may have something for you to start on.
    CR 9 has been out of support for 3+ years, so no fixes. If you use a supported version of CR, then fixes would only be done if the issue can be reproduced on a supported platform.

  • How to view Crystal report under iOS ?

    Hello,
    I'm new with Crystal reports.
    In  BI 4.1 SP2 Patch 3 LaunchPad I have in " Preferences / Crystal report / View format":
    (x) Web (no downloading required)
    Yet, when I try to view Crystal reports on iOS mobiles, I've a message saying I have to install "Flash Player 11" !?!
    => impossible with iOS !
    Is it a bug ?
    Do I actually need Flash plugin to view Crystal reports ???
    If yes, "no downloading required" is not true...
    What is the best way to view Crystal reports on iOS mobiles ?
    In fact, I use Crystal reports provided with auditing Universe.
    They don't seem to be available in WebI format like with previous versions of BO.
    Regards,
    Stéphane.

    hello Stéphane,
    the prompt / parameter dialogue is the piece that uses flash.
    you can still view reports without the prompt dialogue but if you need parameterized reports then you have to build an html front end containing the controls to target the report. you can do that with webelements. please see this blog post here.
    your other choice is to get / purchase the mobile add-on for crystal reports server or businessobjects enterprise.

  • How to view crystal report 11 in ActiveXViewer Control

    I want to user Crystal Report XI with .Net 2.0 and I want to use Crystal ActiveX Report Viewer (client side control) in my Web Application. and wants to print the report client side.
    I am new to crystal report,
    If any one know, please help me..
    Regards

    Hello Praveen,
    Crystal Reports XI (v11.0) is not supported with VS2005 or VS2008.  At a minimum you will need Crystal Reports XI Release 2 (v11.5).  Additionally, the CR.NET SDK uses the Web form viewer control, which is a DHTML viewer.  There is no supported method for using any of the Crystal Reports ActiveX viewers in a .NET web application directly.
    For information on getting started with the Crystal Reports .NET SDK you can visit these links:
    Online [Developer Help Library|https://boc.sdn.sap.com/developer/library] - scroll down to the bottom of the page for the CR XI R2 link.
    [Developer Getting Started|https://boc.sdn.sap.com/developer/gettingstarted] information.

    [Code Samples|http://www.businessobjects.com/global/doc/dev_zone/NET_SApps_q405.zip] - this is a comprehensive collection of samples.  Look for the CR.NET samples in the collection.

  • How To View a Discoverer Report In Oracle Applications

    Hi All
    I have 1 problem...
    Im using Oracle Discoverer 4i.
    I have connected to Oracle Applications through Discoverer Administration and created a Business Area and created a report and able to see the report in Desktop Edition, which i connected to Oracle Applications in Desktop Edition also.
    But now my question is how to see that Report in Oracle Applications when i connect to Oracle Applications through explorer and selecting a responsibility
    when i connected to Oracle Applications im not getting the report which i have created.
    Is it possible to view a report in Oracle Applications using Discoverer 4i..
    Please can any 1 help it out ..its very urgent..
    Thanks in Advance..

    Hi,
    You need to have an Apps mode EUL so that you logon with an Applications username and password. You then need to grant privileges to your responsibilities and also set security on your Business Areas so that they can be accessed by your responsibilities.
    Once that is set up, you can create form functions so that you can add links to Discoverer reports in your Applications menus. Metalink Note 278095.1 explains how to do this.
    Hope that helps,

  • How To View Large PDF Reports Output?

    Hi all,
    EBS 11i
    We run a request with date from 01-JAN-11 to 31-JAN-11 in transaction register .
    The request status is Completed.
    Upon clicking the ‘View Output’ to export the file in PDF format, we encountered error. It seems the file is corrupted? or just to big to open?
    Already tried increasing the Cache memory of Firefox to be able to view some requests but cannot view if the file is more than some size.
    I also tried saving the report to PDF file (viewing it on Adobe Reader not on Firefox), same result.
    Are there other application other than Adobe Acrobat Reader to view PDF file formats?
    How can I resolve this issue please.
    Thanks

    How do I download the pdf file? Do I need to login to the linux server applmgr id? Or it is available via apps webpage.From the server as applmgr user, under $APPLCSF/$APPLOUT directory -- o<request id>.out format.
    Have you reviewed the docs referenced above?
    Thanks,
    Hussein

    Thanks in advance,

    I don't know how does crystal reports work, and I would guess you should ask the crystal guys to help you with this. find out if they have a command line interface that you can invoke from the host command in forms.

  • How to view crash reports

    I have just become aware of the crash reports as I pursued info about some errors I was receiving that I never had before. Thus evolved a resource study of various what, when and whys. Almost all avenues of study led to reviewing crash reports and, as it currently seems, find an app or way to view my crash reports. This is leading to another need for study and finding resources for my crash viewing. I felt it might save me a lot of time and challenging efforts to ask for advice from those who would most likely have helpful answers. So, please, if you know how to view my crash reports I urgently request a helping hand.

  • How to view FinancialReports in Smartview

    Hi Gurus
    1.How to view the Financial Reports in Smartview?
    regards
    Smilee

    You have to add a connection to Reports in the connection manager....
    If we're talking System 9.....
    - Start Excel
    - go the Hyperion menu option
    - click on Connection Manager
    - create new connection
    - Select 'Hyperion Reporting and Analysis - System 9 Provider' as the Provider Type
    - Location would be your workspace server : http://<workspaceURL>:19000/workspace/browse/listxml
    Then, make sure this connection is connected AND marked as the Active connection.
    Now on the Hyperion toolbar, you should see that a menu option called 'BI Import' is enabled. If you go there, you'll see how to bring in reports.
    System 11 is slightly different, but same idea.

  • How to view the History of a Crystal Reports iView in EP6?

    How to view the History of a Crystal Reports iView in EP6?
    Our Crystal reports are viewed via Crystal Enterprise and are both BW and non-BW Crystal reports.
    I have looked at the three supplied iViews from Business Objects (alert, folder and thumbnail) but I have only been able to access the last instance or run on demand a CR.
    Our users would prefer to see a listing of the past runs of the report and choose which report to view.  What parameters need set in the EP6 iView to see the history of a report?

    Hi Heather,
    it is correct that there is no sample iView that shows the History of Crystal Reports that are stored in Crystal Enterprise but there a sample codes on our web site and there are sample codes as part of the SDK documentation that show how to call the history and you should be able to take the code and create your own Java or ASP iView based on that.

  • How to show all view tab (Main Report and all Sub Report) in Visual FoxPro 9

    I use ActiveX from Crystal Report Developer XI for viewer in Visual FoxPro 9 and I already know how to show Main Report by using command:
    oRptRun=createobject("CrystalRuntime.Application")
    oRptView=thisform.oleRptViewer
    oRptOpen=oRptRun.OpenReport('MyReport.rpt')
    oRptView.ReportSource=oRptOpen
    oRptView.ViewReport
    Inside the MyReport.rpt there is two subreport name :
    1. MySubReport1
    2. MySubReport2
    My Question is :
    How to show all view tab (Main Report and all Sub Report) at the 1st time we call ViewReport?
    I try to using command :
    oRptRun=createobject("CrystalRuntime.Application")
    oRptView=thisform.oleRptViewer
    oRptOpen=oRptRun.OpenReport('MyReport.rpt')
    oRptSub=oRptOpen.OpenSubreport("MySubReport1")
    oRptSub=oRptOpen.OpenSubreport("MySubReport2")
    oRptView.ReportSource=oRptOpen
    oRptView.ViewReport
    but only show Main Report (view tab name : Preview)?
    Did I miss any command before I call oRptView.ViewReport?

    Your right, there is only one tab to view the report.
    To open the subreports you will need to click on them in the main report. I don't know of a way to open them programmatically like you are doing here
