How to view limits for a given process

In linux, I can do the following:
ps -ef | grep <some process> <some user> 4847 1864 0 Oct 13 ? 28:45 <some program>
Then I can find out what limits are applied by viewing the following file:
cat /proc/4847/limits
Is there a way to do the same in Solaris 10?

Hi,
the command you're looking for is 'plimit', of course, you need to have enough permission on the target process; please check the relevant man page:

  • For a given process ID, how do I determine environment variables (e.g. PATH)?

At command line, what is the best/most direct way to determine the environment variables (e.g. PATH) for a given process ID?  Must be able to query for any arbitrary environment variable.  PATH is just the first example.
    'lsof -a -p $PID -d cwd -F' gets some of it.
But, I don't see a way to get the PATH for the given PID, using lsof.
'ps -Ep $PID' gets some of it.
But, again, 'not comprehensive.  It appears to give back only a portion of the 'environment' for the process.
On a number of other Linux/UNIX variants, you can look at '/proc/<pid>/environ'.  But, OS X apparently does not use that mechanism.

It has published the Webservice in the Service Registry, but not with the End Points...
has anyone come across the message before and know how to fix it so I can successfully publish the Webservice???
I have searched SDN and OSS - also opened an OSS note about another error I am experiencing...

  • How to Map Fomulas for Float Glass Process

    Hi All,
Can anybody suggest how to map formulas for float glass process.
As in float Glass process continuous production is going on single line, within that continuous ingredients are added in furnace and molten glass mass is coming out. this molten glass is now adjusted to particular thickness and then finally cut into specific sizes as per cusotmer requirment.
Final product is in various thickness, width and length.
    Entire process is automated.
If anybody already implemented same scenario, please share knowledge.

    Hi
The following is the mapping process and it is tricky process need to map carefully.
You can define this as a single formula.
Output: Packed - cut to size - Finished Good Item.
Input: All the Raw materials (Sand, Dolamite, Limestone, Soda Ash, Sodium Sulphate, Carbon, Iron Oxide)
Packaging materials + Labels + Boxes etc.
    Define Routing:
Resource: Furnace, Any other importance resource like Equipment that controls thickness, cutter etc, Labor, Associated Overhead
Create recipe using the formula and routing.
Various factors that can affect the mapping:
    1) Formula maintenance: You have to define formula for each output item.
    2) Possibility of dynamic determination of output item: If it is possible to produce different combination of thickness/width (and hence different FG item) in the same batch, then this won't be the right mapping.
    3) Process variations: Also formula mapping depends on how accurate is production process. If user wants to produce item X (say thickness 10mm) but due to quality issue produced item Y (say thickness 9mm) and such cases happens very often, this won't be right solution.
    4) Inventory measurement: This will determine the break-points. If you cannot measure the quantity (or even estimate) then you cannot define it as an intermediate item.
I will explain how point 4 can lead to different way of formula mapping.
Say you have a furnace that needs to run continuously for better quality or throughput. Hence you will be continuously adding raw materials to furnace and produce different outputs. You can break the single formula into multiple formulas as -
Formula 1) Output: Molten mass of glass
Input: All the Raw materials (Sand, Dolamite, Limestone, Soda Ash, Sodium Sulphate, Carbon, Iron Oxide)
Formula 2) Output: Packed - cut to size - Finished Good Item.
    Input: Molten mass of glass
To have formula in such fashion you should have a way to measure or estimate the weight of Molten mass of glass.
If you are estimating the weight, there should be historical data available to determine what should be realistic output quantity for given input quantity. How much will be process loss and loss due to unwanted by product such as slag etc.
Further you can break formula 2 as
Output: One large sheet of give thickness
    Input: Molten mass of glass
Output: Packed - cut to size - Finished Good Item.
Input: The large sheet of give thickness.
This kind of different mapping is possible which normally depends on:
    1) Complexity of process
    2) How complex BOM structure user wants to have
    3) Are there any benefits of maintaining such complex system - like accurate costing or accurate production monitoring or facilitating planning process.
    4) Can user maintain the complex system? Are they ready to capture data at finer level. Is it possible to capture the data.
    5) And most important thing is how to handle exceptions. If every thing goes smoothly as planned (less exceptions) then user can have and afford any level of complexity. But if there are many exceptions to the normal process you have to concentrate more on how to handle the exceptions.
    6) Satisfy all users: Accounting, Planning, Production, Quality, Inventory handling. Formula/Recipe touches all these modules.

    Raj

  • How to get KTOPL for a given BELNR

    Hi all you experts!
I am codding a simple report that obtains some data from BSAK including BELNR and SAKNR.
I need to show in this report the description of SAKNR. I know that I can get it from table SKAT but in order to do that I need to know SPRAS and KTOPL.
I don't have any problem getting SPRAS. But I don't know how to get the correct value for KTOPL.
Could any of you kindly tell me how can I get KTOPL for a given BSAK-BELNR?
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hello
Using direct DB selections for such a basic standard functionality is just nonsense.
BSAK contains both the company code (BUKRS) and the account (SAKNR). Thus, simply feed BAPI_GL_ACC_GETDETAIL with these details and the EXPORTING parameter ACCOUNT_DETAIL contains the required texts.
Even though there are alternative fm's like
    GL_ACC_GETDETAIL
    READ_SACHKONTO_AND_TEXT
I always recommend to use the most generic approach (here: BAPI ).

    Hello Meeta
If you are considering Reporting Manager as appraiser.
First get pernr, find out position ID from the infotype 0001, check the relationship A002 maintained for the appraisee's position (HRP1001), and finally to find out Appraiser ID check the relationship A008 (HRP1001) of the appraiser's position.

  • How to findout DS for a given table name!

    Dear Members,
I am trying to find the datasource for the given customized table!....and it's not easy to find!!!
I kindly request you to share some inputs if any possibilites to find.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    KS

    Hi Raj,
As you said it's a customized table it will be difficult to find the standard data source, better to create a generic data source.
Can you post ur requirement and what is the customized table n the fields in the table.
If its not a new development system you can make use of the table RSOSFIELDMAP-Mapping Between OLTP Source Fields and InfoObjects to get the data source names where that particular field is being used.
or else if its not used in any of the data source in your system then you can search in SDN or google to find out the data source.
If there is not data source related to your respective table then u can go for creation of Generic data source.

  • How to view Outlook for Mac .olm file?

I am getting rid of MacBook Pro (OS X 10.9.3) where I used Outlook for Mac.
I exported mail, contacts, calendar, tasks, and notes into an .olm file.
How can I view this .olm file on my new Mac Air (OS X 10.9.3) where I have no Widows applications?
I am not keen on importing this .olm data into for instance Apple Mail. I just want to be able to view/search the file for contacts or emails.

    Hello
I don't have Outlook 2011 but only guess here.
Generally speaking, AppleScript's "whose" filter is very limited and does not support list containment test. So perhaps you'd have to resort to something like the following script, which actually scans the events for test.
    tell application "Microsoft Outlook"
        my events_with_categories({category "Conference"})
    end tell
    on events_with_categories(cats)
list cats : list of categories to be matched
return list : list of calendar events whose categories contain every item of cats
        script o
            property ee : {}
            property cc : {}
            tell application "Microsoft Outlook"
                set ee to calendar events
repeat with e in my ee
                    set e to e's contents
                    set cc to e's categories
                    set _match to true
                    repeat with c in cats
                        set c to c's contents
if c is not in my cc then
                            set _match to false
                            exit repeat
                        end if
                    end repeat
if _match then set end of my ee to e
                end repeat
                return my ee's contents
            end tell
        end script
        tell o to run
    end events_with_categories
    Notes.
    * Script is not tested.
    * IF this works but is too slow, we may try to speed it up by retrieving categories of events (list of lists) in one statement, by which we can dramatically reduce the total number of Apple Events to send.
    Good luck,
    H
