How to write conditional statements in web analysis

i have an average member in the Measures dimension in ASO application.
i wrote a formulae to it as IIF(A=0 OR A=0 MISING), B/12, A/12
The value is calculating correctly on the level-0 and displaying correctly but when it is drilled up the formulae is not working, i have ~ consolidation operator applied to the average member and i have the measures dimension as dynamica hierachy and its an accounts dim..
so i have tried to apply a average formulale in web analysis rather than in essbase, when i drill up also it is working fine but when the A value is 0 i am getting 0 value but as per the requirement it should be B/12
so please guide me does can i use any coniditional statements in web analysis?
if not when i drill up how does my essbase gives the correct result instead of consolidating.

Any suggestions .. or is this is a web analysis tool feasiblillity problem ...
when i apply more than one filter and when i try to drill up the my Average is consolidating but it should not consolidate it should give the Average value. on top it if my Average is ZERO the value should be B/12....
Any Thoughts?

How could it not be 5A?. If you have A for each member and then you select 5 members you are going to get 5A. If you don't want 5A then what do you want the Avg of A across the 5 members?
The tools are working the way they are designed to, your requirement is a little out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, Web Analysis does not have conditional logic.
Try taking my previous suggestion and adding another member in Essbase called "Count", make it dynamic calc and the formula should be ' 1; '
The purpose here is to get a value of one in the count member for each member you are going to select in your filter. So, if you select five members in the filter, Web Analysis will now return 5A and it will return the result of "Count" which will be 5. Create a calculated member that divides the 5A value by the count value 5. That will give you the average A for the 5 members, then you can divide by 12.

How to use Conditional statements in SQL Loader control file

I am using sql loader to load a flat file to the table. I am using control file for this purpose as show below:
LOAD
INTO TABLE store_shrink
TRUNCATE
FIELDS TERMINATED BY " "
TRAILING NULLCOLS
SITE_ID char,
ST_SHRINK char,
ST_REVENUE char,
SHRINK_PR char ":ST_SHRINK/:ST_REVENUE"
My question is this. If in the flat file the value of 'ST_REVENUE' is '0', then I want 'SHRINK_PR' to be '0' as well, and skip the calculation (:st_shrink/:st_revenue).
How to achieve this with the conditional statement or using any Oracle function?
Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

1) Select the required entries from the tables you need (VBAK, VBAP, KNA1, etc)
SELECT VBELN ERDAT KUNNR
    into table it_vbak
    from VBAK
where VBELN = S_VBELN. "Selection criteria
If sy-subrc = 0.
SELECT VBELN POSNR MATNR
    into table it_vbap
    from VBAP
for all entries in it_vbak
where VBELN = it_vbak-vbeln
SELECT KUNNR NAME1
    into table it_vbak
    from VBAK
where VBELN = it_vbak-vbeln.
endif.
2) Loop at the entries, and read internal table it-kna1 for customer info.
Loop at it_vbak into wa_vbak.
read table it_kna1 into wa_kna1 with key kunnr = wa_vbak-kunnr.
if sy-subrc = 0.
endif.
loop at it_vbap into wa_vbap where vbeln = wa_vbak-vbeln.
endloop.
endloop.
This is the basic idea and short example of how to extract entries and read internal table.

Is it possible to write a html code in the web template html tag so that the output of the html is displayed in the selection screen, i.e before the execution of query.
I know that we can write html, which will be displayed once the query has been executed, but can it be done for selection screen.
if so, how.
My exact requirement is : to display a 2-3 lines of text in the selection criteria screen - sort of, various options available to user for entering values in the selection screen. I was thinking of putting this text using HTML code in the selection screen.

No, unfortunately nobody replied to this thread. So i assumed it is not possible to modify the selection screen thru html code.
Btw, as my requirement was to provide user with multiple answers on the selection screen. I did the validations on customer exit and popped an errror dialog when applicable.

You cannot write your select statement inside your SAPscript, to overcome this SAP has provided us an option of calling sub-routines.. go through the below example
Go through this example
Ex. SAPSCRIPT
/: PERFORM <Subroutine name> IN PROGRAM <subroutine prog name>

/:CHANGING &<field name1& "It will be returned back from sub-routine
/:ENDPERFORM
Then create subroutine pool program(of your own name) and you have to write the code.

outt_cond structure itcsy.
data : value(20), value1(20). "do your own declarations
Read int_cond table index 1.
value = int_cond-value.
value1 = value1 + value.
*****Write your select statement
Read outt_cond table index 1.

How to write in statement with variable

I'm calling a PL/SQL procedure, passing in 5 variables, and returning a reference cursor to an ASP page that is calling the procedure.
The procedure looks like
procedure some_procedure(var1 IN varchar2, var2 IN varchar2, var3 IN varchar2, var4 IN varchar2, var5 IN number, p_cursor OUT sys_refcursor).
I have two problems:
First, var5 is a number that is going to be used in the order by statement to determine which column to sort by. However, it doesn't actually sort anything when putting it at the end of the select statement in the cursor. The end of the statement looks like 'Order by var5;'.
The second problem is, var3 is a comma separated list of numbers that are passed in, but they are passed in as varchar2. I'm comparing them against a column that is a varchar2. I want to do an 'IN' statement to only pull records where the record is in one of the numbers that was passed in. The statement looks like:
and segment2 IN (var3)
But it doesn't pull any records back when I pass in a normal string.
Can someone help?!? This is so frustrating!!

The cause of your frustration is that you are trying to do two things that can not be done the way you are trying to do them.
Your ORDER BY clause must be created using dynamic sql in which you concatenate together the various pieces like this:

If theres two Entity sets "Department" and "Employee".....
Department Entity contains this attribute dno,dname,address etc and
"Employee" entity contain attribute like Empno,Empname,date,time etc

i need to select first row from table and loop for values in second table, if the values found first record , the record must update 'yes' to ind, if not 'No'.

Do it like this. loop the first table and read the second table.
Use where condition to satisfy the conditions.
Or
In your select query use joins. Like this.
SELECT mara~matnr
       marc~werks
INTO   TABLE t_material
FROM   mara AS mara INNER JOIN marc AS marc
ON     maramatnr = marcmatnr
WHERE mara~mtart = p_mtart.
Instead of MARA and MARC here use your tables.
