  • Dunno how to write JSP for login in......

    Can someone help mi on write JSP coding for login in page?i dun really know how how to write JSP coding. i m now doing a project on Private Driving instructor portal where people can register as trainee or instructor.now i want to write the JSP coding on the login page part.... when instuctor login it will go to a instructor's main page n if a trainee login it will go to a trainee's main page.Can someone help mi on this??? it's very urgent n important for mi.Please help mi.

    The easiest method I have found is to use a database to store the users details along with a flag indicating whether they are a trainee or an instructor. Upon logging in, you can use a bean to connect to the database and retrieve these values, then it is a simple matter of a jsp:forward tag to re-direct to the applicable page for trainee or instructor ...
    e.g.
    <pre>
    ***JSP PAGE ***
    <%@page language="java" buffer="32kb" import="jspclasses.customer.*" errorPage="./error.jsp"%>
    <jsp:useBean id="userBean" class="jspclasses.userInfoBean" scope="session"/>
    * Get user and pass from form variables. (if passed)*
    String user = request.getParameter("username");
    String pass = request.getParameter("password");
    * Retrieve fullname from session object. (if exists)*
    fullname = (String)session.getValue("fullname");
    String fwdPage = (String)session.getValue("fwdPage");
    if (fullname==null) {
         try {
         * If no session has been established then attempt to create one using *
         * the values passed through via form. If no values have been passed *
         * through then variables will equal null as opposed to empty strings. *
         * If null is evident, catch with NullPointerException. *
              if (user.equals("") || pass.equals("")) {
                   fullname = "Not";
              } else {
                   * Send values to method which validates users *
                   userBean.setUserInfo(user,pass);
                   * If an error was encountered within userBean the error *
                   * instance variable will != null. *
                   if (userBean.error == "") {
                        fullname = userBean.getFullname();
                   } else {
                        * Error was encountered so we set fullname to "Not", if *
                        * user was entered we re-display value and we instantiate *
                        * error variable to error value of userBean. *

  • How to write jsp select record from Oracle  divide per page , about 50 reco

    Dear Expert,
    How to write jsp select record from Oracle divide per page , about 50 record per page.
    Thank you very much.

    I wish I could, but there is no single sign on module available for Fusion, also, so called Fusion is yet another Word With Big Letters, behind it there is yet another OC4J ( now Oracle switched to Weblogic though) container with bunsh of Oracle apps residing in it.
    Generally speaking, neither Fusion nor Oracle Apps user database does not have any single authentication module available out of the box to integrate user database.
    It's a long sad story running straight from Oracle Apps 11.0.5.
    That's why I've created JAAS single sign on login module and used it ever since at OC4J 10.2 and onwards at OC4J 10.3
    Back to the topic: to develop Apps and test them externally using the session bean I've isted above, one need to copy certain libraries from Oracle Apps server, then add them as libraries for JDeveloper project.
    Here is the complete list:
    oracle.apps.fnd.cache
    oracle.apps.fnd.cache
    oracle.apps.fnd.common
    oracle.apps.fnd.functionSecurity
    oracle.apps.fnd.metadata
    oracle.apps.fnd.security
    oracle.apps.fnd.util
    oracle.apps.jtf.cache
    oracle.apps.jtf.security

  • How to detect sessions that are currently running parallel queries?

    Hi everyone,
    How to detect session that are currently running parallel queries?
    - The only way i can think of is querying pdml_Status from gv$session?
    - Is there a better way to do this?
    Follow up question:
    After detecting sessions that are running parallel queries how do i identify which sessions are slaves of which session?
    thanks!

    Start with V$PX_SESSION, however also take a look at V$PQ_* and V$PX_* tables.

  • Function that returns currently selected cell address or column

    Is there a function that returns the address (or just the column) of the currently selected cell? Simply put, something like =selectedcolumn.
    Background: I want to display help text in a cell, and I want that help text to change according to which cell (actually, which column) the user has selected. I have put the help texts in a hidden row. They take up too much space to be displayed all the time. I want one cell to contain the help text of the column of the currently selected cell.
    Trying to not use Filemaker for this project if possible
    Thanks for any help /Matt

    The Numbers method, using comments as Barry showed, is probably the best method.  An alternate method which is more complex would be to use an Applescript running in the background.  The Applescript can scan in the background for which cell/column is currently selected and write that cell/column address into a cell in your table. A formula in your table (most likely a lookup formula) can use that address to serve up the correct help text in a diffrerent cell in the table or in another table.
    Some problems with this methodare
    The script is not part of the document. It is a separate entity.
    The script must be started manually. It will not automatically start when the Numbers document is opened.
    If the Numbers document is to be used on other Macs, each would also need the script installed.

  • NCo 3 crashes when invoking functions that return a time field

    I'm using NCo 3 (.NET 2 target framework) with Visual Studio 2010. When I invoke a function that returns time fields (like BAPI_ALM_ORDER_GET_DETAIL) NCo crashes with the following message:
    SAP.Middleware.Connector.RfcTypeConversionException: Cannot convert 240000 into TIME (HHmmss)
    I'm currently using NCo version 3.0.0.42. Is there a newer version? Obviously this is a bug inside the NCo library which I can't fix from the outside rendering the connector almost useless.
    Is this a known problem? Does anyone know if it is already fixed in newer revisions of NCo?

    I'm using NCo 3.02 (.NET 4 target framework) with Visual Studio 2010.

  • How to call functions that return package local types?

    Hi everyone, I have a Pl/Sql function in a package that returns a package-local type.
    I would like to call this function from Java, but I don't know what to pass to "statement.registerOutParameter()"
    (it gives this error:
    Unable to resolve type: "XDRIVE_B2B.TEST1.MYTYPE)
    Here's the simple version with one package:
    package TESTPKG IS
    TYPE MYTYPE IS VARRAY(1) OF INTEGER;
    FUNCTION FCT2 RETURN MYTYPE;
    end;
    package body testpkg IS
    FUNCTION FCT2 RETURN MYTYPE IS
    BEGIN
    RETURN mytype(55);
    END;
    end;
    and here's the java code:
    void javatest(OracleConnection conn)
    throws SQLException
    String sql = "{ call ? = testpkg.fct2() }";
    OracleCallableStatement st =
    (OracleCallableStatement) conn.prepareCall(sql);
    st.registerOutParameter(1, OracleTypes.ARRAY, "MYUSERNAME.TESTPKG.MYTYPE");
    st.execute();
    and as I said above, the java code fails with:
    java.sql.SQLException: Fail to construct descriptor: Unable to resolve type: "MYUSERNAME.TEST1.MYTYPE"
    I can't really have this type live outside of a package because in the real case, it's not a VARRAY(1) of integer, it's a VARRAY(1) of MYTABLE%ROWTYPE, which only seems to compile inside a package.
    thanks for any opinions,

    JDBC, JPublisher, and SQLJ do not support PL/SQL-only types. This includes PL/SQL index tables and record types.

  • How to call JSP that outputs XML without HTTP request

    It should be a simple solution but I can't seem to find a concise recommendation anywhere. We are building a B2B subsytem for our app and we need to send XML to our vendor. I'm evaluating the possibility of using JSPs for that and everything looks good until the time you actually want to invoke it. It's obvious how to code the JSP itself, but I'm looking for an efficient way to call it to generate XML. We do not have an HTTP request or a servlet, the communication is on the EJB level. So I can't get a RequestDispatcher for example, and we dont have HttpServletRequest/HttpServletResponse either. It is NOT a servlet or JSP calling another JSP, it's a regular Java class or EJB.
    Ideally, I would rather bypass the whole HTTP infrastructure and just use JSP as a formatter. So it boils to a question of how to invoke it and how to pass the parameters without HTTP session or request. One of the alternatives we are reviewing is using XSP but we would prefer JSPs if we can figure out how to call it efficiently. HttpUrlConnection is not a good option, we'd like a direct call.
    Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for the response. Let me clarify the requirements for the question. The way we are supposed to send XML to the vendor is via CORBA (don't ask me why:-) where the only parameter essentially is a string containing the XML document. So the quesiton is not how to send it to the vendor, but how to format our JavaBeans into XML.
    We can't use JAXB because it doesn't support schema. We tried a few libraries out there but they stumble on our schema and we can't change it because it comes from the vendor. So it sounds like our only choice for today is to generate XML ourselves.
    The data is stored in JavaBean packet objects and that's our input. Our output should be a string with XML document conforming to the schema. Posting a request to ourselves will of course work, but that's too much unnecessary overhead. Another option is implementing HttpServletRequest and HttpServletResponse and calling service method directly. Better suggestions?

  • How to write JSP code in Java Script Code

    Hello friends
    I have code like
    <script language="JavaScript">
    function f()
    (some code is here)
    </script>
    Now i wants to put some JSP code in f()
    So can i do this ? IF yes then how ?
    (one solution may be make JSP function and call that JSP function from the f().So in that case how can i call JSP function from JavaScript??
    If other method is there then please mail me

    If it's a simple matter of mixing client-side code with server side code, it can be done so long as you're using the server-side to write the client-side.
    For example:
    <h1>Good Morning Mr. Phelps</h1>
    <input name=anybodyFunction type=text>
    <% if (userIsAdmin) { %>
    <input name=adminOnlyFunction type=text>
    etc.
    <% } %>
    <h1>This browser will self-destruct in ...</h1>
    That's JSP (inside the <% %>) mixed with HTML.
    Javascript goes 100% on the client-side. If you're writing JSP with inter-mixed HTML, you might have to inter-mix the java-script.
    For example: Suppose you need to validate the form. "adminOnlyFunction", among others, is a mandatory field, and you want the Javascript to only submit the form if all mandatory fields are set. Well, if the user is NOT an administrator, then that field WILL be left blank.
    One way to handle that is with mixing JSP/HTML/Javascript on the SERVER side.
    <h1>Good Morning Mr. Phelps</h1>
    <input name=mandatory1 type=text>
    <input name=optional1 type=text>
    <% if (userIsAdmin) { %>
    <input name=adminOnlyFunction type=text>
    <% } %>
    <input name=submit type=button value=Submit onClick="checkit()">
    etc. etc.
    <script language=Javascript>
    function checkit() {
    var f = document.form;
    if (
      f.mandatory1.value == ""
      || f.mandatory1.value == ""
      || f.mandatory2.value == ""
    <% if (userIsAdmin) { %>
      || f.adminOnlyFunction.value == ""
    <% } %>
        ) {alert ("Hey! You left out a required field!!");}
    etc. etc. etc.
    I imagine THIS might be what is meant by "mixing JSP with Javascript", and in this particular fashion, it can be done. What you're doing is making decisions on the server side over what to write out to the client. That client code can make further decisions based on user input.
    However, once it's on the client side, you can not have anymore JSP code. The client NEVER runs JSP code.

  • How to write step name and playback time to an output file?

    In OpenScript for Functional Test, I want to create a csv file with just the step name and the playback time for the step. I don't care to carry all the details in my report file. • How to optimize query that returns data based on one matching and one missing field joining two tables

    Hi all,
    Here is what I am trying to do. I have 2 tables A and B. Both have a fiscal year and a school ID column. I want to return all data from table B where all school IDs match but fiscal year from A is not in B. I wrote 2 queries below but this took
    2 minutes each to process through 30,000 records in table B. Need to optmize this query.
    1) select 1 from table A inner join table B
    on A.SchoolID=B.SchoolID where A.Year not in (select distinct Year from table B)
    2) select distinct Year from Table A where School ID in (select distinct School ID from table B
    and Year not in (select distinct Year from table B)

    Faraz81,
    query execution time will depend not only on your data volume and structure but also on your system resources.
    You should post your execution plans and DDL to generate data structures so we can take a better look, but one think you could try right away is to store the results of the subquery in a table variable and use it instead.
    You'll also benefit from the creation of:
    1. An index for the B.SchoolID column.
    2. Statistics for the Year column in table B.
    You can also try to change the physical algorithm used to join A to B by using query hints (HASH, MERGE, LOOP) and see how they perform. For example:
    select 1 from table A inner HASH join table B
    on A.SchoolID=B.SchoolID where A.Year not in (select distinct Year from table B)
    As the query optimizer generally chooses the best plan, this might not be a good idea though, but then again, without further information its going to be hard to help you.
