Howto define uiXML-create.uix using intersection entities and choicelists

hi
i have 3 tables:
- DRIVERS: primary key dbsequence ID, attributes LASTNAME ...
- RACES: primary key dbsequence ID, attributes NAME ...
- RACEDRIVERS: primary key (DRIVERS_ID, RACES_ID), no attributes
using the bc4j-wizards i have created the corresponding EOs and VOs, where the VO RACEDRIVERS contains all 3 tables with the following custom where-clause:
RACEDRIVERS.DRIVERS_ID = DRIVERS.ID and
RACEDRIVERS.RACES_ID = RACES.ID
how do i have to define the corresponding create.uix if i need choicelists (messagechoice) for RACES and DRIVERS to create new records in RACEDRIVERS?
any hints are welcome!

You can build two read-only view objects which return the full list of RACES and DRIVERS. You can use these to populate the choice lists.

Object Diagrams that support user define type (create type....and subtypes

Hello it would be very nice to be able to use user define types in a diagram, at this time oracle, ibm db2 9 and sql server 2005 suport sql ansi 2003 and to use all this potential we have to take tecnology foward. My sugestion is create object diagram that can help design all this funtionability, rational rose has the oracle8 addin this will give you an exact idea of what i am asking.

JDeveloper has a UML class diagram with transformation into a Java class diagram - are you looking for anything beyond that?

How to Create Table Using Column Drag and Drop Feature

Hi:
I am new to Oracle SQL dev Data Modeler tool and would like to know if there is a way to create a new table by re-using the existing columns or column groups. The idea is to maintain consistency and save table design time. If columns created previously can be re-used and require drag and drop of column in the right pane, then only new columns need to be manually created.
Any thoughts on this will be appreciated.

I checked out the video and tried it in Oracle designer, it works and works great!
My other question is that I may have several set of columns that I may want to group depending on the table requirements. Can I have multiple templates and choose which one to apply to?
Also, how do I choose the table where the table template needs to be applied. As I may be interested in applying the table template to selected tables only.

Adobe Acrobat as a server to create PDF using PDF templates and field values

I'm writing a web page to create a PDF using fields that we ask for them in the screen.
My idea is:
1. Ask for field values (text values and a photo) in my web
2. Run Adobe Acrobat to load a PDF template (PDF form) and mix with the field values
3. Create a final PDF mixing values and template
4. Show to document to the user in his client web browser. I guess the only way to do that is to create the PDF on a server with Adobe Acrobat Pro and send to the user browser a JPEG that will represent the PDF: If I do this operation in the PDF visor at the client browser, the problem is that it will will be mandatory to install Adobe Acrobat in each cliente because only this visor can manage javascript.
Can you tell me if this idea is correct? It is possible to use Adobe Acrobat on a Server to create PDF when some proccess needs?

and what other Adobe product o procedure can we use to do that?
I only need to create a PDF mixing PDF Templete, field values and javascript.

Create Table using DBMS_SQL package and size not exceeding 64K

I have a size contraint that my SQL size should not exceed 64K.
Now I would appriciate if some one could tell me how to create a table using
Dynamic sql along with usage of DBMS_SQL package.
Brief Scenario: Users at my site are not given permission to create table.
I need to write a procedure which the users could use to create a table .ALso my SQL size should not exceed 64K. Once this Procedure is created using DBMS_SQL package ,user should pass the table name to create a table.

Well, it depends on what you want to do. I could write a stored proc that creates a table in my schema and give some other user execute privilege on it. They would then be able to create a able in my schema without any explicitly granted create table privilege.
Similarly, assuming I have CREATE ANY TABLE granted directly to me, I could write a stroe proc that would create a table in another users schema. As long as they have quota on their default tablespace, they do not need CREATE TABLE privileges.

I looked over the docs and apis and I was not able to find any way to create a HelpSet from an input stream.
Basically all I have is are input streams to the help files and not URLs, is there a way to initialize the help set with that?

Odbcad32.exe errors when creating DSN using 9i client and 9.02.00.65

I am about at the end of my rope. I have a brand new Windows xp sp2 machine. I have tried installing, uninstalling deleteing all registry keys, deleting directories, installing the full 92010NT_CLT then installing just the run time, then installing different ODBC drivers - from 9.018 - through 9.2.065 - I have been through the message that I needed a newerr version of the OUI etc etc, I finally found a thread that led me to to ODAC92070 which then I installed - geez!
ALL these configurations resulted in ODBC crashing when creating a DSN! weak! In just about every situation that I had the patience to test TOAD it worked fine - however from the command line SQLPLUS would crash too when connecting - even the MS Driver works sort of - in most situations. What in the world do I need to do to get the ODBC Administrator to not crash when creating an Oracle DSN.

Want to create iView using iView teplate ?

Dear Experts ,
I want to create iView using exixting template .but when I click the check box to create iView using exixting templates
and hit next its not taking me to list options of existing teplate.
I am not getting any error just getting white page instead of taking me to the liat of all existing templates.

Two things :
#1 - The tables you need to add data to are : tPOVPartition, tStructPartitionHierarchy, tStructPartitionLinks. The first table is the basic location information. The last two tables define the relationship hierarchy of where the locations belong. I would expect that if the Strcut information is missing, FDM will not be able to place it anywhere on the locations screen.
Additionally, for the tPOVPartition, there is required information and you need to make sure you are including all of that info when you create your record.
#2 - If you are handy at coding, I'm positive there is an API call to create a location. It would make more sense perhaps to write a script that uses the APIs to create the locations so that you can be sure that it is being done right.

Error while creating Routing using LSMW

My structures are ::
RC271_DS Work center structure for direct input (for datasets)
RC27M_DS Material master view DIRECT INPUT routing for datasets
PLKO_DI_DS Header structure for direct input (for datasets)
PLPO_DI_DS Routing/item structure for direct input (for datasets.
I getting correct data from multiple flat files .
It's converting the data also .
But while executing start direct input method i am getting the followig error ....
You cannot edit the task list object with activity type
Please let me know problem guys .

Hi Naveen,
It means you have to assign the task list type to material type ZPRD. Then it will carry its job:
The path is:
Go To-> SPRO-> IMG Activity-> Production-> Basic Data-> Routing-> General Data---> Define Material Type Assignments. T-Code: OP50

Net price must be greater than 0 error while creating PO using BAPI

Hi guys!
I'm using BAPI_PO_CREATE1 to create several PO's from a Z table record. I finally achieved that my BAPI to work as wished, with conditions, etc.
The problem im having is that i get the error of net price must be > 0.
I do not have any condition type defined . Is it necessary to define one?

While creating Projects Using the API, get two errors: 'Customer name must be passed' and 'class category is invalid'

While trying to Create Projects using the API, I'm getting two types of errors -
The first is : 'API failed in one stage 1 Customer Name is a mandatory Quick Entry field. Value must be passed'
The second is : '
'API failed in one stage 1 Project: '<Project_Number>'
The class category is invalid.'
Both the messages are produced by our custom program. .. however I am not able to understand why the underlying errors occur.
The first error ( Customer Name is a mandatory quick entry field), is caused by Projects that are to be created from Project templates where it is configured with Quick Entry Customer Name required. We are passing Customer Site number ( Party Bill to site number and Party Ship to side number). The site numbers being passed are also set as 'Primary'. Yet they are failing.
For the second Error ( The Class Category is invalid), I rechecked multiple times, the Class categories for the Projects I am trying to create, with the Config in R12 and they are fine. Can't understand the reason for these two issues. Has anyone encountered such an issue ? If so how was it resolved?

I resolved both the issues. In case there are others facing similar issues, following was the cause and resolution of my errors
1. Error 1: Customer Name is a Mandatory Quick Entry field. Value must be passed.
The cause was that the data loaded into our custom staging table was not in the right fields. This was because the data file values and the CTL were not in sync.
Resolution:
Corrected the data file to be in Sync with the structure defined in the CTL and this loaded it successfully
2. Error 2: The class category is invalid.
The cause of this error was that in the Projects Template (used to create the project from), the Quick Entry setup had a Class Category set as required and I was not passing a value ( a class code value) for that Class Category.
