HR Module various fields unknown?

Hi all,
I am working on the HR module of sap. I have a report to make where some of the fields are unknown . Can u help me out??
Unknown fields are :
1. Employee Joining Date
2. Branch
3. Region
4. BU ( Business Unit may be)
5. Last CTC
6. reporting authority
7. designation of reporting authority
8. resignation date
9. reliving date
10. experience
11. days for notice period calculation
12. if employee status not confirmed , then no. of working days
13. vendor account balance
14. Pending Bonus Amount
15. Amount of Leave encashment
16. Salary Amount(if pending)
17. vpp (if pending)
18. notice pay
19. final f&f amount
if any one has any idea about all or any of the fields, can help me out by telling which infotypes and which fields i have to refer.

Enhancement of HR datasource is same as other module DS enhancement, and u can append custom fields as u do it for other businesses.
Most of the HR datasources (Master & Transaction) does not support Delta load, so it a daily full load

While transferring materials form ECC to GTS (Sandbox), i am receiving the above mentioned error.
Conversion error in module API6850_HDR_PROD_MAP, field API6850_HDR-WEIGHTUNIT_ISO, value LBR.
As per standard , In the ISO code for US pound its mentioned as LBR in both ECC and GTS
But within material master we generally use LB as US pound.
Can anyone please let us know how we can solve this one?

Hello Proloy,
UoM handling is often issue within material transfer.
You have generally 2 options:
1. In GTS maintain via TA CUNI your LB as is in your feeder. I would suggest to adjust GTS customizing with your ERP. Just do Utilities --> Adjustment and your RFC to feeder.
2. Or you can map your LB to GTS LBR via user exit.

What are the limitations of using labview 8.5.1 developers suite verses a real-time module in field point applications? Can an exe. be loaded onto a field point controller or does the controlling program have to reside on a PC for example?

centerbolt is correct, you can't load a .exe or even run a program on the fieldPoint controller unless you have the Real Time module. However, that does not mean you can't use your FieldPoint bank without the Real Time module.
From LabVIEW for windows you can make calls to the fieldpoint IO using the fieldpoint read/write functions.
This program runs on the PC not the FieldPoint controller. If you loose network connection to the fieldpoint, your program will loose connection to the IO. For many data logging applications this type of arrangement can work just fine. However, if this is the only type of application you are ever going to run, then you may as well not buy the Real Time controller for your fieldpoint but the network controller only.
If your application requires more reliability, and/or greater determinism than can be achieved by running a program on windows, then you should use the LabVIEW Real Time module and develop a program that can run down on the FieldPoint controller independent of windows.

File with various field lengths non - fixed cardinalities problem

Hallo all,
we have the following problem.
we implemented a scenario as sown in this blog
/people/venkat.donela/blog/2005/06/08/how-to-send-a-flat-file-with-various-field-lengths-and-variable-substructures-to-xi-30
but there is a problem.
If the file structure is declared as :
Header,1,Items,*
then the adapter does not even read the file from the directory (so I assume that for some reason the file structure is not as expected).
If on the other had the structured is declared as :
Header,1,Items,3
everything works.
Obviously though, this is not satisfying since we need variable cardinalities.
Any suggestions and help is appreciated

Well, I will write the main tests we tried, in case that the situation could be cleared :
I have a specific file in a standard directory, called xi_input. The file is edited straight into that directory, so there can't be filename errors etc.
If the file is left empty :
Nothing happens . No message of any kind in sxmb_moni/monitoring xml messages .
If the file contains the following (data is random) , where 'H' is the key for the header and 'I' is the key for the items :
H     20060403     16     3     316001     kapou     lalla     morellala     20060403     F3     23
I     277101010     2
I     277101011     3
I     277101012     4
There are to cases :
if the file structure is declared as :
Header,1,Items,*
Then nothing happens .
If on the other had the structured is declared as :
Header,1,Items,3
everything works .
I guess there is now a more clear picture of the problem.
As for whether the file adapter does care about the file contents or not, I think that if the Message Protocol is "Message Content Conversion", then it does check the structure.

Smartform , Reference field unknown

Hi guys,
I'm trying to sole a reference filed unknowm in smartform.
I'm using a user defined structure like below:
structure s1
   t1 type s2
   t2 type s2
structure s2
   a type yy
   b type yy
This structure is defined in dictionary. I passed this structure to smartform and try to output structure s1 variable like s1-t1-a but it says reference field unknown. Anybody know how to solve this problem ??

Which one? Please provide more details.
I think the crucial is how you are passing the structure to smartform. If parameter is of generic type (i.e. ANY) you won't see its (structure) components. Create some dummy program and make sure the same definition allows you to address the components in the way you want. If syntax checker pass you, then the problem lies in how you pass the structure to smartform (as described above).

ACE module status is unknown "FSM_FT_STATE_STANDBY_COLD",

suddenly ACE module status is unknown “FSM_FT_STATE_STANDBY_COLD”, after reloading the FT worked fine , i need to know the root cause for this ?

do a 'shut' / 'no shut' of the ft vlan interface.
If that does not bring the interface up, check on the cat6k if FT vlan assigned to SVCLC group associated with ACE.
You should also plan an upgrade to A2(2.4) since a similar problem was fixed.

ABAP code which will use function module during field mapping in LSMW

Hi,
During field mapping in LSMW, for one of the field called field, I want to use a function module 'QF05_RANDOM_INTEGER', which will generate random numbers and map that random number to that field.
How do I write ABAP code which uses function module, during filed mapping for a particluar field in LSMW ?

You can write in FORM ROUTINE and LSMW.
I hope you know how to write ABAP code at field level.
If not ...
Come to change mode->select the field->Rule->ABAP Code
write a perform statement in ABAP code at field level.

             changing valu.
Go to Utilities(at menu)->switch layout-> extras ->select Layout->check Form routine-> it will display a FORM Routine... at bottom
this is the place where you can write some code for
<b> FORM test</b> using value
          changing value1
FM call....
.ENDFORM
Get the value1 returned and use for the Field population.

HR field unknown in selection screen

Hi experts,
Have a problem with selection screen for an HR report. Here's the code:
selection-screen begin of block b2 with frame title text-002.
parameters:
payid like pc261-payid modif id spe. "pay identification
select-OPTIONS:
s_payty for pc261-payty." modif id spe. "pay type
selection-screen end of block b2.
I get this error message :" field pc261-payty is unknown."
Mind you, I don't get any errors if I put payty in parameters as I have done for payid. The structure pc261 can be acessed by double click, so it's obviously visible. Please advise.

If pc261 is structure then you can also use
DATA pc261 type pc261.
Then you will not get this error.

How to use the FP-DO-AC120 module on Field Point?

Hi,
I am trying to use a FP-DO-AC120 (discrete output module) as a relay to switch of an equipment I control via Field Point 2000. This FP-DO-AC120 is connected to a FP-TB10 terminal base along with some other modules. When I try to use the “write” function on MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer), it doesn’t allow me to do so and the “this item is read only” pops up. Checking the channel type to where the module is plugged in it shows that is a discrete input channel. I’ve tried to change it to a discrete output type, but when I do so, the status of that slot is “empty base or terminal”. I don’t understand what is going on here. Could anyone please advise?

Hi Prabu,
Bill To and Ship To are Locations.
Query up your PO, note the values in the fields Bill To and Ship To.
Navigate to Purchasing Super User > Setup > Organizations > Locations
In the Name field query the Bill/Ship to you noted.
Click on the Address field
In there is Telephone and Fax fields.
Shipment:
Query your PO
Click on the "Shipments" button.

Field Unknown error message in program node

I'm brand new to SAP and trying to get to grips with Smartforms. This is a very basic question I'm afraid but hope someone will answer it.
I'm trying to perform the following in a program node
SELECT SINGLE * FROM MARC INTO WA_MARC
WHERE IT_VBDPA-MATNR = MARC-MATNR.
IT_VBDPA is defined in TABLES tab of Form Interface
WA_MARC is defined in Global Definitions
IT_VBDPA is defined as an input parameter on the program node
WA_MARC is defined as an output parameter.
I get 'Field IT_VBDPA-MATNR unknown' error message. What am I doing wrong?

F4 querry for module pool fields

Hi,
I am using module pool programming. In this there is a field BTRTL which has a standard search help. But there is another field BTEXT , description of BTRTL , which has to be populated as soon as BTRTL is selected usung F4. Is it possible using module pool?

Query on module pool field -f4 help

Hi all,
My query is as follows :
There are 2 fields in module pool screen :
sector
lfd
Now there is a table called sector with 2 fields sector and lfd.
now when f4 is pressed on the above sector field, this sector table has to be called so that I can select the required sector from the f4.
I am able to do till above.
Now the issue is when I press f4 on sector field and select the required sector, the lfd value for this corresponding sector should be automatically populated in lfd field on the the above module pool screen.
please let me know regarding the above.

clear Variable.
in POV
after calling F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST function module and assigning the output to sector field
Variable = lfd value.
once after executing your f4 functionality, if you press enter you will see the value in lfd field as well

End of memory. Labview + Real time module + Compact Field Point 2120

My name is Michele Ciampichetti, I'm writing from Italy.
Frist of all, excuse for my english.
This is my first experience with Labview, and the application is not so easy. We use Labview 8.2.1
Our system is costituited by two different parts: there is a Compact Field Point 2120 as remote target whit some I/O card, and a PC used to releave data and memorize them (host).
The comunication between the two targets is performed by ethernet lan with Shared Variables not bufferized and not real-time fifo.
The problem is this: the sistem requires a big number of Vis and Variables (about 20 Vis per target and 50 variables localizated in 5 different librarys all in the remote target), and it should store data, acquisited by the FieldPoint, on a database (SQL Server 2005), one time per minute. This storage is made by Labview Database Connectivity Toolkit, and it work correctly. The problem is an excessive consumption of RAM on the PC.
The question is this: The use of many shared variables or vis, bring the memory to always grow? I try to explain myself. When we start our application, after the first minute and registration on the database, the memory grow of approximately 1,3 Megabytes. This is repeated every minute, and after approximately two ours, Labview break down and display "Not enought memory".
We look the on-line help for one solution, and we have found that the variables (local and shared), the concatenate funcion, the array and Vi indicators copy in memory their older value when updated. Is possible that this is the cause of our problem? There is a method to avoid it? How labview uses memory? It is possible set it up for not maintain older value in memory?
We need to run the application up to 4 days for complete its work, is a long test for a climatic room.
