HREF in user decision task not working in UWL?

Hi All,
We're on ECC6 and portal version 7.01 SP4.
My problem is that I have defined a link in the body of a user decision task like so..
<A HREF="http://www.google.ie/" target=_blank> GOOGLE </A>
and while in appears as a link in the task in the UWL, clicking it does nothing. When I check the properties of the link, I see that it's actually javascript:void(0);, so hence it doing nothing.
Can anyone give me any guidance on how to get a link working in a user decision task in the UWL?

Thanks for the respnse, I've since figured out that what I was trying to do was not possible. I have impleneted a workaround myself, where I just added an extra button action in the UWL.

In SWFVISU transaction you have to add this things.
1. Task--Give the task id which has to be sent to the UWL
2. Visualization--How you are going to view the screen (using java web dynpro) so give as Java web dynpro.
3. Screen id--For which screen your are going to assign this task.
4. Application ID--While you activate a web dynpro screen it will be providing a application id this has to be done in dynpro side and give that number in this parameter. After that if your activate the dynpro it will be giving the new application id so you have change the old id to the new one in SWFVISU transaction.

Not able to open "requested end" in user decision task.

Hi All,
In the user decision task, i have specified the value as +5 day in the "requested end" tab. When i executes the WF, and checks in the workflow log of work item, it shows that user decision step as logical deleted. I open that step on developement server, there value is fine as +5 day, then i tried to open that step on quality server where i am testing, when i clicks on that tab button it displays an error message at bottom of the screen "No Unit with the desired conversion factor is maintained", and with in 1 seconds it came out to initial screen of SAP.
I checked the TR, it is imported correctly.
where can be the issue then ? why i am not able to click on that tab in that user decision task, its very strange, i faced this kind of issue first time.

UWL - Default buttons on User decision with note

I have configured a decision item from a decision task to set the user decision with note.
My decision task has 2 decision options (accept is"Validar gasto" and reject is "Devolver gasto para correccion"), but when an item for this task comes, only is displayed two buttons with the text "Decision".

I think what Karri means (or should mean ,-) is that there could be a translation issue here - and I agree with that. The texts are most likely generated in the language of the user who creates the work item. If this is not Spanish (I assume that's your logon and development language) you will not get the correct texts. So you will either need to change the logon language of the user, or translate the workflow's texts. I would recommend translation, because you never know when someone might log on in a different language than the system default. It has been known to happen.

I am facing problem with ACS 4.1 accounting, TACAS+ Accounting and Logged in Users report are not working, the csv file is been generated but nothing is showened in the file.
I have checked the documents related to ACS 4.1, it says that there is a bug related to command accounting âCSCsg97429 - TACACS+ Command Accounting does not work in ACS 4.1(1) Build 23â.
Tried upgrading the same with the patch applAcs-4.1.1.23.3.zip, still it is not working.
Other reports are working fine.
1. TACAS+ Accounting - not working
2. Logged in Users - not working
3. TACAS+ Administration - working
4. Passed Authentication - working
5. Failed Attempts - working
Any suggestions or any idea, please revert.

Yes I have configured the command âaaa accounting exec default start-stop group tacacs+â
As I have mentioned all the other reports are working. Which user and when he has logged in and what commands he has used. Only the TACAS+ Accounting and logned user is not working.

GRC 10.0: Access Request Creation - LDAP user advanced search not working

Dear Experts,
We are implementing SAP GRC Access Control and we have an issue in Access Request Creation. If we put the user name in “User” field and press intro, the user details are updated, but if we want to make an "Advanced search" the user is not found and the application give us the following message: “No records found for the search criteria entered.”

Objects and Attachments in User Decision Step not possible

Hi all,
I have designed a workflow where during the 1st step(Archivelink image display) I am able to display archived image, and in the inbox for the first workitem I can see the Objects and Attachments link related to the image.
But my second workflow step(is userdecision dialog), I would like to see the same archived image link as the in the previous workitem under Objects and Attachments.(I dont want to create a new attachement)
Can somebody tell me how can I accomplish this task.

Hello,
what you need todo is to use a container binding from the single step task from the 1st step where you bind the image object to the workflow container.
Then in the user decision task you create a container element which refers to the image object. Then use a binding to 'send' the object from the workflow container to the task container.

Just go into the workflow builder and create a new step. Choose a Decision Step and it will make one with the generic decision task, TS00008267. Just fill in what the options are and who it should go to. The task text starts with the very generic:
Choose one of the decision options given. This completes the
processing of this step.

Do you know how can i do it?
May be it's possible to do with a program exit but i don't find any method in the class for do that.

Finally, I had to do it. I put the steps in case anyone is interested:
- Create a Decision Task in workflow builder. Replace the Task used in Control tab by a custom one. You need to create a copy of the standard task 00008267. In my case I've created the task 99000001.
- The FM to get the options and texts is SWU_GET_DECISION_TEXT_TITLE. We need to create an enhancement point at the end of this FM. I've created a method in a custom class to embed all my code:

Execute User decision task outside SAP

Hi,
Is it possible to execute user decision task outside SAP using the extended notifications? I have tried out using the configuration documents provided in SAP as well as from other sources. But wasnt able to send the notification to outlook.
Please help me out.

Specify an object with method "RECEIVE" to receive the mail item. The method then needs to parse it and process it. If a mail with subject = "Approve" is to approve a workitem then the appropriate terminating event must be raised in the RECEIVE method.

_wi_actual_agent and User Decision task

Hi,
I have a workflow which uses a User Decision task [ BO Process, Method Decision ] and thought I'd store the actual approver by mapping WIACTUAL_AGENT to a suitable workflow container variable.
Problem is, when the workflow runs I can see that
WIACTUAL_AGENT is set, but the workflow container variable remains empty..... any ideas ?

Did you bind the standard container element WIACTUAL_AGENT to workflow container element?
Do the following binding
WORKFLOW CONTAINER <----- TASK CONTAINER
Workflow container element <---- WIACTUAL_AGENT

Link in User Decision step not showing correctly in UWL

Hi SAP Experts,
I have a requirement to add a link in a user decision step, this link triggers a custom webdynpro for additional input. When I access the workitem from Business Workplace, the link is showing fine. But when I execute the workitem in UWL, the link is not displayed, instead the code is shown (<a>...</a>). Please advise on what I should do to have the link working. Thanks in advance.

This same thing was just recently discussed. I just cannot find the thread anymore (well, in that thread there was not really any solution). Basically the hyperlinks in work item do not seem to work in UWL as they should. I don't know if there are any way to make them work. My suggestion is to not use the hyperlink at all and replace that with an action (=button) to the task in the UWL. This can be achieve quite easily by simple XML configuration in portal. If you have worked with UWL this should be quite straightforward for you, or if there is a consultant at the site, who is familiar with UWL, this should be simple for him/her.

Need Help: Workflow Decision Task not visible in NWBC for customer Task

I am new to NWBC configuration , need ur expert knowledge for the below issue. I have checked the treat . Approve/Reject button for SRM Approval for RFx response ,but not able to get the exact steps for the configurations in NWBC.
Requirement.
     We are working on SLM/SRM module, where we have requirement to create a custom workflow with custom Task for which we have executed below actions.
Created the Custom Workflow.
Created the custom Task with custom ZCLASS and ZEVET.
Created   Event linkages in SWE2.
After doing this we are getting the workitem in the NWBC, currently we don’t have the Portal system in place, so we are using the NWBC for all our testing.
What is the issue?
     When we select the workitem in the NWBC (UML) inbox , the Decision Task ie “Approve” or “Reject” button are not visible , where as for SAP standard Task buttons are visible.
What help we need?
When we cross check the SCN/IBM portal, found that we need to do the XML file configurations. Can you any one kindly let us know the steps we need to follow to achieve our functionality.

You need to share the details of what Inbox you are using, configuration steps depend on it. If you aren't using portal, you aren't using UWL and there is no UML inbox. You need to get your facts straight. Most likely you are using the Business Workflow Inbox (SWF_WORKPLACE) or the Lean Inbox (IBO_WDA_INBOX). Both are based on Web Dynpro ABAP and POWL but the configuration is different. Regardless, you posted this in the wrong space. Correct space is either SAP NetWeaver Business Client or Web Dynpro ABAP.

Schedule task not working in OIM11gr2

Hi Experts,
I have coded a schedule task, using the plugin approach, the steps i have followed are:
1. Created the custom code jar
2. Created plugin.xml
the above 2 files are added in plugin and registerd in OIM
3. Created the task.xml and registered in MDSWhile creating the job i could see it shows up in the tasks but when i executed thejob it is giving me below error:
I tried putting it in using UploadJars.sh utility and placed thejar in schedule tasks folder but did not work.
An error occurred while loading the plugin class. Class null was not found.
Please provide help this is really urgent!!

I have removed the plugin file completely. I have validated that class path and name it is the same as com.abc.iam.customtask.rim.RIMReconST

User Decision with Note - Where are comments stored?

We are interested in using the "UserDecisionNote" property in our XML file for a User Decision workitem. (This allows a comments text box when a user clicks accept/reject for example)
How and where are these commens stored? As an attachment?

Sorry, I should have stated what our goals were. We currently capture comments with an activity step right after a user decision step. This happens as an immediate popup/dialog because of synchronous dialog chains in SBWP. We may then put the comments in a subsequent email step, subsequent workitem text, or custom table.
You cannot do synchronous dialog in Universal Worklist. So, we were investigating UserDecisionWithNote property of XML file for task. However, it appears the comments are stored as an attachment and not passed as text back to Task/WF (which I'm hoping someone on this forum can confirm). If they cannot be passed back as text and are indeed stored as an attachment, then in theory we need a way to get the comments out of the attachment. I'm not aware if anything allows us to parse attachments, etc.
