HT1212 I need to remove the restrictions from my iPod Touch, but I forgot the passcode. How can I reset it? I tried syncing it with the computer, but don't see an option to remove the passcode.
The internet&app store applications were removed from my iPod by restrictions. My father put this block in place and doesn't remember the passcode to reset the restrictions. How can i reset them without the passcode, or reset the passcode?
You can't. The only way to remove the Restriction password is to: a) Restore the iPod using a backup that predates the setting up of the Restrictions password; or assuming you don't have such a backup b) Restore the iPod to Factory Settings/New iPod.

My PC got a virus and I had to reinstall windows from scratch so I lost most of my music. I had a backup program that died in the middle of it so only half came back. the only place that I have all the songs is on the ipod. if I let it sinc it will loose the half that I do not have.
Any ideas on which direction I should go?If your iPod is set to update automatically you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes installed hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys together. This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. If at any point you get a message that your iPod is linked to another library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.

The sync is one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases: File>Transfer Purchases
You need to copy everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.
The ipod is ot a backup device. It simply irrors the selected content of your computer. -

That's a bummer, didn't realize the exHD files were corrupt, esp if you have tried from another PC and not just this new computer.

I downloaded the iOs 7, after went to sync it with my computer but it said I needed to update my iTunes, so I went to download the 11.1 and it said I needed a newer version? 10.6 (or something like that)
And so now I can't sync my phone...
Any suggestions? Besides throwing my computer out!! haha

Assuming you synced the contents to the first iPod Touch, you just plug the second iPod Touch into the same instance of iTunes and select to sync the music. If your original iTunes library is on a hard drive which has failed, then restore that from your backup and follow the above procedures.

There is no "adding" a device. Simply plug the iDevice into the computer. iTunes should automatically detect the device when it is connected.
iTunes can sync/manage as many iDevices as you want... there is no 1 device limit. -

I'm trying to transfer the files from my Ipod touch to my new computer. It is saying that not all of the files will be transferred because the computer isn't authorized. I have authorized it several times but it keeps bring up a previous apple id that I had but when I try to log in using that id it tells be it is no longer vailid and then it stops and won't let me transfer any files. The computer has to be authorized for the account that purcchased the media.

If the music on the iPod was purchased through iTunes you can try Transfer Purchases.
Connect the iPod to the Mac and launch iTunes. Right click on the iPod name on the left side of the iTunes window under the devices heading and select Transfer Purchases. That should transfer the music into the iTunes library on the Mac.
