HT1363 is my ipod junk, now that I dropped it in the water?

is my ipod classic junk niow that I dropped it in the water?

Don't turn it on until it's had a chance to dry-for days. Dry it off. If water got in, it went in through holes like the dock connector, the headphone jack, and around the switches. Tilt/support it so that the holes are facing down. Let it drain until no water comes out of any hole.
To speed up the drying process, You can warm it up ( like with a hair dryer) but you have to be careful not to over heat it. Put the heat source far enough away so that when you touch the iPod it only feels warm -not hot to the touch. As stated above, putting it in a sunny window will work, but make sure it's not getting too hot there either.  Don't let it get above 110 degrees F.
You can put a thermometer next to it and monitor the temperature. Overnight at elevated temperature should dry it out completely.
The do a couple of Hail Marys and turn it on. Good luck.
