How long can you keep a movie rental, once it's downloaded? Do u need wifi to watch it?

As long as it's been fully downloaded then you shouldn't need to be online in order to watch it.
As to how long you have to watch it, from here :
You have 30 days from the time of rental to watch your movie, and 24 hours (in the US) or 48 hours (elsewhere) after you've started viewing to finish it. Once the rental period expires, the movie will disappear from your iTunes library.

  • How long can you revert back to the original photo after cropping?

Is there any time limit for how long can you revert back to the original photo after cropping? Are you always able to revert back?
    Thanks.

DAM = "Digital Asset Manager", a fancy name for a filing system.
iPhoto keeps the original and makes one (usually much smaller) copy based on your edits. It is non-destructive in that if you crop, and later change the color, iPhoto will go back to the original and apply the corrections to get the new image, it will not simply modify the preview.
If you want a high quality copy of the image, use the export function which allows you to specify the size and compression.

  • How long do you keep data in PSA ? (SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0)

    Hello gurus,
According to your expertise, do you consider that PSA must keep data for a long time ? Or should it be set to empty after a short time (one month for instance).
If we consider that PSA must not keep data for a long time, how do you let your clients access old data (for instance, results of 2005 that are accessed rarely) ? Do you create another cube with old data, compressed, with aggregates ...
I have investigating archiving, but this option does not fit because we want to be able to access the data at any time, even very rarely..
Any feedback on the topic is appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Vanina

    Hi Vanina,
How long you save your PSA is depending on the load frequency and the way you load:
    e.g.
    - Daily full load: one week will be enough
    - Daily delta: depending on the possibilities to repair/ to run a new init. If a repair is difficult or a init takes a lot of time (billions of records) keep your PSA for  90 days.
Also the time the business needs to "discover" errors is important. If they run monthly reports, don't delete the PSA on weekly basis.
If you load data from flat files or other sources that cannot be easily recovered: save PSA "forever".
Cubes with a lot of data can be split into "Yearly" cubes. Run reports with only recent data direct on the cube. reports with this and last year on a multi-cube. (you can even make another multicube for all the years. Compress cubes once they are not filled anymore.
Yearly cubes can also partitioned (menu --> extra's --> DB performance --> partitioning)
    Hope this helps.
    Udo

  • How long can you share a folio file for and how many people simultaneously

    Hi There,
Questions per above title, can you share a folio file via the content viewer for an unlimited time?  How many people could you share it with simultaneously?
As well I am trying to understand do you have to pay for DPS (and if so can it just be the single version) to be able to share a .folio file through the content viewer.  Can you just have in design 5.5+.
In addition, if the .folio file is set up for Ipad distribution when shared will it be formatted and fully usable/interactive through the content viewer by the person you are showing it to on the ipad?
    Any help is appreciated.

You do not need to pay to share a folio file via the content viewer.
I'm not aware of any limits on how long a folio can be shared to, or how many e-mails a folio can be shared to.
And yes, on the interactivity question.

  • How long can I keep my Alltel unlimited data plan and my 12 my circle numbers?

I started with Alltel back in the day and got a couple smart phones with them on their plan that let you have the unlimited data and 500 minutes but we accumulated 12 of the free "my circle" numbers before Verizon took over. Somehow over the years I have done numerous upgrades (last one being in November I think with my iPhone 5) and the other phone on my account has gone through several upgrades as well, and we have always managed to keep the Alltel plan including unlimited data and our free 12 my circles. I was thinking of upgrading again since  my other line is coming up for renewal soon, but when I asked if I would have to change my plan, the rep said that I would and that it was a fluke that I was able to upgrade to the iPhone 5 without changing. I live where there is no internet access other than Verizon so I use my hotspot every day for regular internet use on my CPU and use over 11GB a month and sometimes 15GB but I need to get a new phone for the other line. There is nothing Verizon offers that is as cheap as my plan (about $140 after taxes for both phones, and unlimited data) so before I go and buy a new phone at $600+ I am trying to figure out how I have managed to upgrade all these years and keep my plan, but will not be able to now? and if I can't keep my Alltel plan (Which again is strange considering I just got an iPhone 5 and it is going fine with the Alltel plan) if they will force me one day to change even if I buy my own phone? It is VERY confusing talking to verizon reps as I have tried in the store and via telephone and nobody really has a straight answer.
If I buy an expensive phone out of pocket now without upgrading and renewing my contract and put it on my number, will I always be able to keep Alltel's plan as I have in the past, or will they change it? Has anyone else kept Alltel and have you had any problems upgrading or adding your own phone? Thank you.

You will be able to keep the plan, however you will lose your unlimited data if you get a subsidized phone.
Now if are talking to a rep at a 3rd party reseller, they may be forced to change your plan.

  • How long can i keep my external firewire drive on?

I moved my itunes and iphoto library to my new iomega ultramax 1tb. i usually keep my imac on for several days, only leaving it to energy save mode when i am not using it.
can i keep my drive always on as well?

Yes. You can keep it on. There is a setting in the +Energy Saver+ pane of Disk Utility to +Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible+. That would apply to the external drive, to save energy and reduce wear on the drive.

  • HT202213 can you transfer a movie rental via home sharing from pc to laptop?

I rented a HD movie to put on my iPod to then watch on my TV through my component cable, however when I tried to transfer th rental onto my iPod I got an error message saying the movie could not be moved, this could be due to my iPod software being outdated by the movie formatting, as my iPod is 3rd generation touch. I want to know if I can transfer my movie rental from my PC to my laptop, so I can watch it on there instead?

No. You cannot import music to an iDevice using Home Sharing. You sync music the iPad and you can only sync with one iTunes library.

  • HT202213 Can you home share movie rentals?

An Apple representative told me I could download a movie rental to my computer and then watch it later on my apple tv via home sharing.  Is this true?

You are posting in the Apple TV forum, thus I am referring to the Computers icon on Apple TV.
If you are inquiring about home sharing to another computer, post in the appropriate section. Although, I don't think you can do what you are asking.

  • Light fast blinking on cartridge. How long can I keep printing. Will it harm my printer?

I have a Canon MX882 using cartridges 226.  Most times we have extra cartridges, but on occasion, an ink cartridge has started fast blinking before I can purchase new and what I am printing I need done.  The print is still good, clear, dark. I have gone approximately 30 pages over and ink still not looking faded.  Am I harming the printer by continuing to print?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi enimary,
Let me start with the quick answer: We never recommend printing once the ink indicator shows that an ink is "out".
Since the ink level detection is mostly optical, some trace amounts of ink may still be in the ink tank when the "out" warning appears.  Let's say your cyan ink is "out".  If you print a picture with very little cyan, the print might appear fine since you are using so little of that specific ink.
During each print, the printhead (element used to "jet" the ink onto the paper) will heat up.  As the ink passes through the nozzles of the printhead, it will cool the printhead and the cycle will repeat with each pass.  When the printhead tries to pull ink from an empty tank, it does not cool the printhead and can result in damage or clogging of the nozzles.
It's very much a gamble to continue printing under these circumstances, but I certainly understand the need to print in a crunch.  Keep an eye out for "low ink" warnings when printing.  When a "low" warning appears, you will have about 25% of the ink still in the tanks.  This is a good prompt to have a spare ink tank available for when it finally reaches the "out" stage.
Also, don't confuse the "low" warning with the "out" warning.  I recommend viewing the following article from our Knowledge Base: Checking the Ink status - MX882.
