HT1430 My iphone 5 wont turn back on , I've tried pressing the menu button and the switch button and hold it down for about 30 seconds but nothing , is there anything i can do ?
my iphone 5 since friday , its been off and it wont turn back on , ive tried pressing the menu button and the switch on button for about 30 seconds every day to see if anything happens , but nothing helps.

I would 1st try to charge the phone at a different location than usual and if possible try different charging cords etc. and make sure that it is charging. If it appears to be charging let it sit for an hour or so and then try to power on again while the phone is still charging.

You make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store and get it serviced/replaced. You broke it. If you can't even force a reboot, there's nothing much more you can do.

Please make a Genius Appointment and take it in for service. By now it probably cannot be fixed, but you never know.

I recently got my moms friends old iphone5 that he had for like a month. Everything is fine with it but it wont let me update any of my apps because it asks for his apple ID password. Is there anything i can do to change/fix that?

You should remove his AppleID and restore it as new. -
My phone just turned off and won't turn back on. I've read the posts saying to hold down the home and power button but my power button is broke. Any suggestions?
There is a thread or two about the home button and how to fix it at least temporally. It sounds like some people have found it to be a rather permanent fix. Do search on something like "Home button won't work". It has something to do with putting the charging cable into the phone and applying a little extra pressure upward on the key. Don't take my word for it though look for the thread/s. You said originally that your "Power" button was broken and the thread I have seen is about the Home Button.

my disk drive will start up when i plug it in, and runs for about 30 seconds, but wont get recognized in my computer. It used to show up in the finder but that doesnt happen anymore
If you go to Disk Utility, can you see the drive on the left hand side? If not, then the drive is dead. You'll have to buy a new drive.

My ipad does not turn off...i tried pressing the slep/wake button and home button for more than 10 secs but nothing hapened. Also, the screen is not rotating on portrait and landscape views...
While this could potentially be a hardwar issue:
Try a rest: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
If the reset doesn't work, you may need to consider restoring the iPad to factory settings -
I just upgraded to OS X Lion and now I can't open the application Adobe ImageReady CS because PowerPC applications are no longer supported. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
There is no fix. It simply means that the software is outdated. Adobe would need to release a newer non-PPC version that supports Lion. They may have done that already, I don't know.

I downloaded an album but one of the songs is corrupted, it only plays for about 4 seconds. When I try to re-download using the iTunes Store and "Purchased", it won't give me the option to download it again. How can I get the song I PAID for!!??
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting that track from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.

Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

My IPhone 4 wont turn back on !!
Today i wore sweat pants and i white shirt to school and i didnt have any pockets, so i put my phone in my bra. its kinda awkward but thats what i did. so betweem the time i was using my iphone but when it came time for lunch. i took my phone out and the screen was BLACK and it was kinda warm. my first thought was that it was over heated being in my bra but i was in heat i was inside but the heat from my body could have over heated it.
So i tried turning it back on my it didnt work and at lunch i plugged in the charger but it wouldnt charge!! i Dont know what is wrong with my Iphone 4 software is with IOS 6.1.3.

Perform a "hard reset" on the device by pressing down and holding the home button and the sleep/wake button for up to 30secs. until you see a black screen with the Apple logo, then release.
Then test to see if it solved the problem.
