HT1535 All of my books on my ipad are not backing up to itunes on my computer, this is a new problem. The backup used to capture everything. How do I fix this?

I have 130 books on my ipad but only 95 in itunes. I'm running the most current version of itunes. I used to be able to just do a backup to my computer and it would capture everything but now it's not doing it. How do I get all of my books backed up to my itunes on my computer (windows laptop).

You can't seperate your account, if you want things seperate you need to use seperate accounts.

When I called Apple Support to ask about the 100% CPU usage, they wanted to charge me because my Ipod was out of warranty. I insisted on talking to someone and finally got to talk to a software engineer for free. He said that he had never heard of the problem in his three years at Apple. Nonetheless, he sounded really interested and suggested that it might be a conflict with anti-virus software. I deleted the antiviruse and that DID NOT HELP AT ALL.
It seems as if Apple could care less. There is no official response. Their primary response is to look at the Forum. At least you find out that the problem isn't your fault, it really is Apple!!!!
So far the best solution is just to delete iTunes and use Mediamonkey to sync your pod.

No you will not lose your content reinstalling iTunes.
Do this:
1: Download and run the Registry Cleaner of the free Ccleaner.

2: Next follow this Apple document to un-install iTunes

3: Just for good measure, run Ccleaner again
4: Reinstall iTunes.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

I'm also on iPhone 4, iOS 6, and have exactly the same problem. I've tried resetting privacy settings, turning restrictions on and off, deleting and reinstalling apps. Nothing seems to work. The lists of apps in privacy settings are all empty, except for location services. When using Tweetbot the app is regularly asking for permission to access my twitter account, but even when I allow that, the app doesn't show in privacy settings. When I try to go into the camera roll from the Facebook app, the app tells me I have to allow access to the camera roll from the privacy settings - which I can't do since the app is not listed there.

Two other things to try -
Power your iPad off for a minute and then back on again.
Double tap the Home button, locate the updating apps (one by one) in the bottom task bar, press on it until the red minus sign comes up and click it. Repeat for the remaining apps. Try the updates again but do them one by one rather than Update All.

Ok so I am having issues with charging my iPad as well. So I took advice from this forum and yes, if you turn the brightness down my iPad charges. Thanks Apple I just went and spent money on a new charger I didn't need. Really you need to fix this issue.

To be completely honest, FCPX is a RAM hog. It just is. But, RAM is relatively cheap, and the pay-off is good.
4GB is right on the edge, IMHO. 16G is ideal.

Both work very well. The former I use for manual, one-way synchroniziation of (nearly) entire systems. The latter for automatic syncing of very active directories through local and shared online storage.

I indicated my email address and Apple password--not hers and paid for these Aps--receipts arrived via my email. Now I want to upgrade to 5.1 but the Aps now loaded on my iPad do not show up on my PC iTunes library. When I click 'Upgrade' I get a warning message that says all Aps currently on the iPad will be obliterated in the process which of course I don't want to have happen because they're not showing up on my PC which presumably means my PC is not aware of what's on my iPad. Do I have to buy these same Aps again to keep them if I'm going to upgrade to 5.1, and how do I get my iTunes on my PC to back up the Aps currently loaded onto my iPad?

You should be able to copy the apps (and any other iTunes purchases) over to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. And as long as apps remain available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to purchase them, you should be able to re-download them in the future : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
If you are already on iOS 5+ on your iPad then you should be able to update the iPad directly on the iPad via Settings > General > Software Update .

Start by rebooting the computer. If that doesn't work, search for adobefnt*.lst and delete all instances where * becomes a 2-digit number.

When you launch iPhoto with the option key depressed you'll get this window:

All libraries on your hard drive (and on external drives) will be listed and the currently used library will be listed as (default).
