How do i put my apps back on my iphone 4? I hooked it up to a computer to update for the first time,. The computer had an ipod account on it already. After my update it took all of my apps and music etc; now i cant sync it back on my phone! Please help.

If there are copies of your Music and Apps on your computer, then it's a simple matter of clicking on the iPhone in iTunes and going to the sections at the top (Summary, Info, Apps etc) to tell it what to sync, then click the sync button in the bottom right corner.
If there is nothing backed up to your computer in iTunes, your purchased music and apps can be redownloaded directly from the iPhone:
iTunes app > More > Purchased > Music > Not on this iPhone
App Store app > Updates > Purchases > Not on this iPhone

It does not magically appear in a new place. It will only be where you put it.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

You should be importing ALL pics/videos taken with your iphone regularly as you would with any digital camera. particularly before any restore/update.
If you have failed to do this, then they are likely gone.
You can redownload apps if you have failed to transfer them to your computer before restore/update.

I have two computers,
Two 60 GB Video Ipods
and one shuffle.
Both 60 GB Ipods work on both computers.
The shuffle works on the first computer it was installed on.
When I plug the shuffle into the second computer, I get a warning sign from itunes saying something like...
Your Ipod is currently associated with another Itunes Library. Would you like to associate this Ipod with this library and replace all existing files?
So I click no. And my itunes library does not show the shuffle as being connected in the source list.
And my computer also recognises the shuffle as being connected to the computer.
So I don't know what the issue is. I would like to import songs from both computers. Not just that one.

i got a new 30gb video ipod that i haven't installed onto my computer yet, but i do already have a 20gb 4th gen ipod installed on it. i am wondering what i have to do to install the new one...will it erase the songs in my itunes? do i need to uninstall all the things from my old ipod?? please help, and thanks in advance.

I have the same setup as keely (loading a new 30gb 5th gen iPod on to a machine that has a 4th gen iPod and iTunes already installed). I updated iTunes, plugged in my new iPod, and it worked great! However, now the old iPod is no longer recognized by iTunes when it is plugged in. This wasn't remedied by using a different USB cable, by restarting the computer, or by changing user accounts. Could this be because of the new iTunes? Or my new iPod? Anybody have an idea? Thanks so much.

You can get your information back if you have previously done a backup in iTunes or iCloud.

you need to go to APP STORE, Then click on Purchased and you will see all the program which u can download from iCloud. I hope u made an account otherwise u will need to install everything again. The most important when u install a new iOS is to backup all your files first and then u can proceed installing the new one.

You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

Do you get any specific error messages? Double-check the following:
On the summary tab of your iTunes sync settings you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos"
In your music library you have checked all the songs you want to sync to your phone
There are no exclamation points next to any of the songs you want to sync to your phone
You have authorized your computer for all Apple IDs for any purchased music you want to sync to your phone (in Store>Authorize this computer)
You have checked "Sync Music" on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings
When everything looks correct, sync your phone.

Baiscally the problem is that one comuter and one account has always been sued for eey persons itunes. Now if we want to be able to backup and use itunes on our own computers fro our iphones and such, how will all he data that is on our phones not be deleted once its plugged into a new computer? option discovered in preferences. Really this and any feature that moves deletes or edits a users data should as far as possible be OFF BY DEFAULT. It shouldn't by default and without the users specific say do this dangerous and unnecessary thing without even letting the user know what it's doing!!! And then cause me a few hours (as i'm new to mac) searching for the option so as to switch it off. If i hadn't noticed the status cage declaring that it was copying files then i might never have twigged that this insane thing was occurring. And if i hadn't of noticed i would have been left maintaining the contents of the folder i copied the files to, the folder which as far as i was informed and so believed was also the location of the music files i was playing. How does Apple justify this 'genius' piece of software non-design? Surely it will hurt no one if this was off by default for new users - overall at least i dare say it would cause a lot less distress in the future for the unsuspecting public at large. I can give a few suggestions on Photoshop CC 2014, but Lightroom is a separate forum and you should ask Lr questions there.
First close Photoshop.
Then start Photoshop by double-clicking on it's icon and very quickly after that, hold down the ctrl-alt-shift keys until you see the reset dialog. answer "Yes" to delete settings, and let Photoshop continue to load.
It's tricky to do and may take a few tries, but at least it should reset Photoshop CC 2014 to defaults.

Thanks - that helped. But when I tried to sync all my photo folders to the I pad 2, I tunes would add some but not all of the ones that were marked to sync, end the sync, then the I pad 2 would hang with the wheel turning, saying it was still syncing photos, and it would not end and the remaining folders of photos never appeared. I finally had to sync and re-sync over and over by adding one folder of photos at a time, then another and another.

This is the wrong forum to post on, this is a forum for folks that have Intel based iMacs. According to your profile it indicated you are using an iPod Nano and use Windows Vista. I'd recommend either reposting in the iPod or iTunes for MS Windows forums.
