  • I restored my ipod to its original settings but now when i try to back it up it is asking for my password and when i give it it says it is wrong and it is right

I restored my ipod to its orginal settings and checked for it to be backed up. When it was done restoring i tried backing it up and it said to enter the password.  I didn't know if it was my itunes password or what so i entered several and it said they were all wrong.  So which password is it?

Is this the error message that you see?

If nothing else works, you could try a format of the iPod in Windows. A full format does a check and remap of bad sectors on the iPod hard drive, and you would need to restore the iPod as normal (using the iPod updater) afterward. This can also work when the iPod is recognized by the computer, but not by the updater. It's usually a last ditch troubleshooting effort.
First, put the iPod into forced disk mode.
See: How to put the iPod into disk mode.
On your PC, go "my computer" and right click on the iPod, then choose "format". Ensure the settings are at "default" and that "quick format" is not checked. Now select "format". It will take a while, but when that's finished, restore the iPod using the updater.
If you need to, reset the iPod to exit disk mode.

  • HT1349 Is there a way to reset an ipod touch to original settings?  Hoping it will aleviate some of our issues.

My daughter's Ipod Touch has suddenly gone on the fritz.  No idea what she has done to it, but it won't even let me reset the date and time.  And now there is some ladies voice talking every time we try to do anything at all.  Touch screen doesn't seem to be responding correctly either.  Not sure what to do.  Thought that maybe I could reset it to all of the original settings and see if that would help anything.  However, b/c it isn't allowing me to do much of anything, I'm not sure if there is a way to do this.  If anyone has any thoughts, please let me know.

  • How can i reset Bridge CS6 to its default settings?

    Hello,
i have a problem with Bridge CS6. Somehow its very slow and lags. when i tried to open a folder it takes sometimes several minutes before anything happens. is there a way to reset bridge to its default settings without reinstalling?
    Thanks

    What OS?
It is probably either a full HD or too large of a cache.  You should have 10-20% free space on HD.  You can purge cache in edit/preferences/cache.
If you have cache exported to folders also this will not purge it.  Have to go to Tools/cache/purge cache for xxx folder.

I restored my iPod Nano 4th generation to original settings and now when I try to sync it with iTunes, only a few songs will transfer and I get a message saying file could not be found. Some of the songs in my iTunes library were transferrred from another computer and the files somehow did not transfer. However, even the songs I purchased recently will not sync. • HT1430 How do I reset my iPhone 4 to original settings?

I'd like to give/sell my iPhone 4 to someone so I need to reset it but I haven't found any information on how to do that. I tried holding down the home/on-off button simultaneously for a few seconds but that didn't do much of anything except turn it on.
Anyone know how to restore it to factory settings?
    Thank you,
    Marla

You can also plug into your computer and hold the home and power buttons at the same time until you get the "Welcome" screen. You'll want to not restore from backup when prompted.
    Hope that helps!

  • How do I restore my keyboard to its original settings via a shortcut?

    Hi there,
I think my daughter must have pressed a combination of keys on my MacBook Pro keyboard and changed the keyboard. However, my laptop has a password lock on it to get into it so I can't get past the password screen to get into the computer and figure out what's going on. I can't even see what characters are being typed when I press the keys because it just appears as ******. I do know something has happened though because when I pree the backspace or return keys, another * is typed, so obviously these keys are typing some sort of character. Any ideas on a shortcut I can use to restore my keyboard to its original settings?
    Thanks,
    Emily

Sorry, there is no way without the Original Install Discs.
But what is it you want to accomplish?
    Perhaps there's other ways.
