I am trying to organise and consolidate media on my system and Oit seems that ITunes has stored songs under Itunes/Music and the same song under Itunes/ItunesMedia/Music - Why ?

While looking at some of the dupliates - I noticed that there were some Triplicates !!!
For some reason there are copies of *Many* Songs under user/me/MyMusic/ATunes/ItunesMedia/Music !!!

Yes.
The album which the song has been listed under (on the song's page) is listed in your library under that album. The song is then removed automatically from the first album
No it's not.
Purchasing a new song or album will not affect any other song or album in your library.
In the case of the two albums you mention, if you purchase them both, you will have the same song (different copies) in both albums.

Are you simply shuffling a list containing one song? When the song plays and you see the album art, do you see "1 of 1" on top?

I understand you are having issues with playback of purchased music. If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, it might be best to delete the song(s) from your device, then re-download from your purchase history.
To delete a song the following Knowledge Base article offers how to delete from your iOS device:

How do I import an iTunes library stored by a different user on the same macbook?

My husband and I are used to share the same Library and we just have our own playlists. I finally was able to import the my libary from my old Windows computer, but now I face another challenge:
Now I can only see the music files when logged in as user B (me), but user A (my husband) cannot see any of my music files.
I feel like I need to move my files to a shareable location, but don't know how to do that on a Mac.
Then I want to know how I can make sure we do not copy all our music to be twice on the same computer.
Any suggestions how I can resolve this the easiest way?

A hopeless not used to mac-user.

When I have done this, all I did was network the two machines and copy the contents of the iTunes folder to the other machine, and that's it.
My understanding (which may not be 100% correct) is that the one file that is absolutely necessary is iTunes Library, and that the XML file is actually a copy auto-generated from the iTunes Library, appearing in a different format only for non-iTunes apps that take advantage of the iTunes Library data.
As far as I know, if you simply have the Library (database) file and all your original music files, iTunes on that computer should operate as it did on your old computer. I believe that the Album Artwork, Genius Data, and XML files can be regenerated from the Library file. Not sure about the Extras file.

When i press on shuffle to shuffle the songs on my ipod it will play a song and then after the song is done it wot go to the next song it will just replay the same song unless i press next how do i fix this?

The only thing I can think of is that you have selected the repeat song option as well. Repeat is on the left and is the 2 arrows making a closed oval. The Shuffle icon on on the right and has the 2 arrows crossing like an X. They "light up" blue when selected. The Repeat icon has 3 modes: off, repeat song and repeat album.

Share statistics between the same song in ALAC and M4A

Is there any way to listen to a lossless version of a song while using the computer, and the SAME song in lossy format on the iPod, sharing the same statistics? (e.g. No. of listened times, tags and so on).
What I mean is something like this:
COMPUTER-->ALAC SONGS
every ALAC song in the playlists has a hidden lossy M4A version, and when you syncronize your ipod, the latter (smaller) version is loaded.
IPOD-->M4A LOSSY SONGS
SYNCRONIZE IPOD and COMPUTER-->the No. of listened times statistics, the stars and every tag is syncronized with the local ALAC version.
I listen 50% on computer and 50% on iPod, and I'd prefer the statistics to be updated with both ipod and computer contibutions, just like they are used to be now, using a consolidated mp3 library.

It sounds like the Repeat setting has been turned on/enabled. See your iPod's User Guide for information on how to disable it.

My ipod touch will only play the same song over and over unless you manually fast forward?

My ipod touch will not shuffle through the songs. It just plays the same song over and over. All that shows at the top is the info picture. How do I fix this?

Do this:
Play a song.
Tap the screen once so you see the scrubber.
To the left of the scrubber, there's a set of two arrows going in a circle - if it's blue, it's set to repeat.
Click on it once to make it white - no repeat.

My I-Phone will not change song automatically. You have to manually change the songs or you will hear the same song repeated over and over. I have tried many things and can't find the shuffle button or the repeate button when the song comes up. Can someone help me?
