HT1766 I try restoring backup on my iphone, and it wont let me until I enter a password. I dont remember ever setting a password up, and Ive tried every password I would ever have used, and nothing works.  Any advice?

I try restoring backup on my iphone, and it won't let me until I enter a password.  I don't ever remember setting up a password, however I tried every password I would have done, and it still doesn't work.  I even tried unistalling itunes and re-installing it, and that didn't work either. Any suggestions?

Encrypted backups are very secure.
Try every possible password you can think of. Try simply leaving the field blank also.

If you forget the password, you can continue to back up and use the device, however you will not be able to restore the encrypted backup to any device without the password. You do not need to enter the password for your backup each time you back up or sync.
