HT1848 transfered ipod apps and music to library on mac, updated iPod, now want to transfer apps and music back to iPod. How do I do it?
I transfered apps and music from my ipod touch to my library on my mac before updating my ipod touch to version 6.0, now how do I get music and apps back on ipod touch. I can see them in my library on my mac.
Okay I finally fixed it. I had to turn off wifi on ipad, connect ipad to computer with usb, unsync all music, deauthorize and then reauthorize my computer, and resync all music again! What a hassle but I now have all my music on ipad again.

So you have all you music on the iPhone, right? and you want to transfer FROM the iPhone TO the computer?
You can't do that with iTunes as far as i know, but you could probably get by that going through "this computer" or something.. I'm not sure, but technically it should be possible.
good luck! -

I would backup both iPads to either your computer (faster) or to iCloud (slower.) Then I would go to Settings/General/Reset and Erase all Content & Settings on each iPad. They will both restart as brand new iPads, ready for setup. Then I would restore each iPad to the correct backup; your stuff on the iPad 2 and her stuff on the new iPad. -
I have an iPod Touch and want to transfer apps and games from my Mac. Is it possible? Thanks
thanks againYou can sync iOS apps from your compute's iTunes library to your iPod. An iPod will only run iOS apps/games. It will not run or even sync computer apps/games.

You know, I don't know much of computers and of technology but when I bought that ipod back when they came out 2005 I was able to download music from my CDs and from Youtube to itunes then transfer to my ipod and back and forth to itunes . Then if I had changed of computer I was able to transfer to that new computer. Why I'm not able to do it ? There is a program(Sharepod) that allow to do that but it cost $35.00 but I thought that was free or it is because that now I have to buy from itunes only?

I have songs on my iPod Touch that I want to transfer to my music library. I can "see" my songs in the library under the iPod tab, but not in my general music library.
I purchased a new computer and I am trying to find the easiest way to transfer all my files over.
Thanks,martyskidmore wrote:

1) From your OLD computer...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
Full Details Here > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751
2) If you do not have access to the iTunes Library on your Old computer... or its Backup...
See these 2 Links...

My grandson loaded music to my Ipod nano with his Mac computer. Now I'm trying to add music and I have a windows based computer. Itunes is asking me to reformat my Ipod for windows. Will that erase my music already added?

i just bought an imac and want to transfer all my music from an iphone to imac - how is this done please
1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.
for everything else, check out this post by Zevoneer.
also, there are PhoneView and iRip. -
I had toclear the hard drive of my computer and reinstall Windows 7. Now I want to transfer all the music and photos from my iPad back onto my computer. I authorized the computer (it is the ONLY computer authorized on this account - and this is the ONLY account on this iPad). ITunes then downloaded my purchases...or at least it tried - out of the hundreds of tracks I have purchased, it managed one album that I bought over a year ago and NOTHING else. So I tried to Sync - since on older versions of iTunes (that were SO MUCH MORE user friendly) that would do the job -transferring things that were only on the iPad onto the computer and vice versa. It doesn't do that anymore. So I went from my iPad's summary to the Music tab - the box for Music was not checked but when I checked it said the only thing it could do was erase EVERYTHING from my iPad and replace it with what was on my computer (that ONE album). What is going on?
Why hasn't iTunes downloaded my other purchases since I authorized the computer? (there are over 3,000 tracks...not 18)
How can I download my iPad to my computer?-Me again - it also won't upload the few new pictures I have on the computer onto the iPad without deleting all the photos that are already there....

I want to transfer all my music from my ipod into my itunes. I just recently purchased a new PC. I can only transfer my "purchased" songs. Essentially, my Ipod does not show up in my Itunes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I hope you get an answer on this. I am having similar problems. I have lots of music on my Nano and now have a new laptop. How do you move those songs into your new laptop from the Nano.

I've recently just bought a new iPhone and i am wanting to transfer all my music that i habe bought from my old one onto the new one. I've gone onto iTunes and tried to download them all again but it wont let me?
What happens when you try to redownload them ? What you can re-download (the types of content that you can redownload varies by country) will show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes, and the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your iPhone (and similarly for apps in the App Store app). If you still have your old phone then you should be able to copy your iTunes downloads from it over to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases

This morning the Iphone prompted me to update software. After that it said my phone was in recovery mode and I had the restore my phone. Now most of the apps are muted and don't respond, help!
First, in iTunes, launch Preferences and go to the Devices tab. Check the date and time of the last backup. If it is recent you can restore it. However, if you mean you have the photos back in your Camera Roll then the backup was already restored. To get your music and apps back it should just be necessary to click "Sync".
