HT1918 I get an error when trying to buy a book in iTunes - says "Paypal is not supported on this device". Which is fine, but my payment method in my iTune settings is for a credit card.
Same error occurs in any device I use: iPhone (4) or iPad (2).
Any idea how to reset something, or otherwise let me make a purchase?
And I just say for the record how much it ***** when you have to deal with a company who thinks so little of customer support, that you can't talk to anyone in person? Sheesh, the recording I got when I called hung up on me!

?I'm trying to download a free app and I keep getting a message that says; "Payment Type paypal is not supported on this device blah blah go to the iTunes Store on your computer. You must verify your payment info before you can make purchases. I did all that, updated payment info and checked paypal it is verified, and it still won't work. Im stumped

I had this same problem also. The problem has to do with your credit card number associated with you iCloud account. To solve this problem, you need to update your credit card/payment information by doing the following on your iPad / iPhone / iTouch:
Settings > iCloud > click on your account > Payment Information
Update this section with your correct credit card information and Save. -
My i phone3GS will no longer charge - when i plug in the charger the phone says "charging is not supprted with this accessory"
do you have any other chargers? is it the charger that came with the phone? is it giving the same issue when plugged into the computer and into the wall? do you have an apple store near you to try the chargers there? can you buy a new charger at target or something? have you rebooted the phone?

Why do I keep getting an error when trying to buy gift certificates
I keep getting an error message saying "This purchase would exceed the maximum Gift Certificate purchase amount for this Apple ID."
1) Who ever knew there was a limit. Where was it, if ever, disclosed? Why does it even exist?
2) Is it a limit on the Purchaser's ID or the Recipient's?
3) What are the parameters of this limit? Is it $xx/week, /mo, total credit balance, pending transaction limit, lifetime gift certificate allowance? This error is terribly vague.
4) Other options available to me.sorry that meant to read i DID cut and paste some pictures into my document.

Sign-in error when trying to buy a Book?!
Trying to purchase a book, I get an Apple account Sign-in error message.
"The was an error while accessing your account information. Please check your network connection and try again."
I checked my account info (login/password) using a web browser and everything seems in good working order. I have 1-Click turned ON, everything's ok. I purchased my new 20" iMac using this account. I can't understand why aperture will not allow a sign-in to the account to purchase a book.I logged-in into osX as a different user, exported some pics, tried to order a book, and it worked. It's very strange that I can't sign-in to order a book using my main osX user account. How do I fix this? Any Apple store geniuses reading this?

I have been using PayPal with I tunes since 08 with no troubles now when I go to any app free or not it tells me that this device does not support PayPal so I have contacted PayPal and have everything taken care of there my account is verified and no spending limit so my problem is between iTunes and PayPal I need to no how to verify my account with iTunes

When I try to buy a song, it says that Paypal is not supported on this device
I have purchased songs and apps on my iPad. I still have the same Paypal email address and card on my account, so I don’t understand why this would happen.
When I go to my account info in iTunes on my computer, it says that my previous purchase was unable to be charged, when between my Paypal and the bank account, I have more than enough to pay the charge(s). When I try to pay the charge. it brings me to Paypal.com to authorize iTunes for payments, but I already have been using Paypal
to make purchases with my iPad, such as apps and songs. Anyway, how do I pay the charge with Paypal? I approved iTunes for payments again, but after that, it just brought me to the iTunes website, and iTunes still has the continue option, which just brings me back to Paypal.com to approve iTunes for payments again. -
When I use the same cable with the wall adapter it charges just fine.
LOL My situation is the opposite. plug my iPhone 3GS with USB cable and attach to mini adaptor (or whatever the small one is called) and it does not charge. Connect the same iPhone 3GS to my MacBook, using same cable, an charging takes place for iPhone. Then, connected the iPhone to the AC power with the large Apple AC adaptor and it always charges. Seems to be the small adaptor and sometimes a third party automobile adapter.
At first I thought this might be because I was using third party USB cable, but now wonder about that since there are so many problems that others are having.
Having scoured the discussions, it appears no definitive answer has been given. Am I wrong. Maybe I never found the answer to what is happening here.
