HT201210 Updated newest version on my iphone, but lost the ability to unlock my phone with my previous password. I did not change that password. It is locked
I bout the app "find my phone". Accodingly updated I tunes so that I could access icloud. Did all that. However, when I tried to unlock my phone with my password (which I did not change) it did not recognize it. Help!!

If you do not have access to the computer you normally sync with, it may be necessary to use one of these methods to erase your phone and remove the passcode:
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode

If you see one of following alerts, you need to erase the device:
"iTunes could not connect to the [device] because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the [device] before it can be used with iTunes."
"You haven't chosen to have [device] trust this computer"
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

PPC, also known as PowerPC has not existed on Macs since the beginning of 2006. Apple made a bridge software and included it with Mac OSes until 10.6.8 known as Rosetta that would allow you to run software written for the PowerPC Macs. 10.7 and later can't run that bridge software. You have one of several options:
Install 10.6 retail on a USB Flash drive, and run that application while booted from there.
Find an update designed for 10.7 or later of the software.
Find a combination of Virtualbox or Paralllels that can legally run a version of 10.6 side by side with your 10.7 software.
Run Windows on your Mac with Virtualbox or use CrossOver that requires no Windows to run a Windows version of your application.

I changed my hotmail password. I then changed the password in settings, now my device iPad will receive emails but gives me an error message when I send emails that password is incorrect. How do I fix it?
Try this. Go deeper into the settings.
Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional. -
I updated my MacBook Pro with version 4 yesterday. I access my company's lotus notes with this browser. I can access the web site, but cannot open attachments. The message I received is that I have removed the attachment. I haven't. The text that states the name of the attachment is there. I can click on it but it won't open and there is nothing in the attachment box in Web Mail.

"Content filter" is the Android Market's method for restricting certain applications that may provide access to "mature" content. You can disable content filtering in the settings of the Market app on your phone.

Updated my appleTV to 2.0.2 - lost the ability to choose 1024x768 res
I recently updated my appleTV to 2.0.2 in order to be able to loop video with it, (saving it in qt_pro with the loop option checked under the view menu), but now I find that the resolution I was using (which is what the projectors that will be used only support) of 1024x768 is no longer accessible. I used to be able to press and hold the 'menu' and '+' buttons on the remote, and the appleTV would cycle through all resolutions, including 1024x768.
How do I access this resolution in the new 2.0.2 update?
My appleTV went from being the front-runner as an ideal high-definition projector for art installations to FAIL.Re: the version of appleTV - I just updated it to the newest available version as of 2 days ago.
In terms of the resolution - It did support 1024x768. It wasn't a selectable option under TV resolution, but when you asked the appleTV to cycle through the resolutions by holding menu and +, 1024x768 came up. After which, in the resolutions it reported at the end of all the options under TV resolution was indeed 1024x768. Now it no longer does so.
The projector wasn't just resizing a 720p signal, because when the appleTV is outputting a 720p single the 256px above 1024 on the right are cropped, and the centre of the image is offset by the equiv.
Problem is if I restore back to 1.x whatever it came with, I was under the impression I wouldn't be able to get it to loop videos. -
As the current version of firefox 4 does not support the Norton toolbar, I want to uninstall it and return to the old version. How do I do this?
I need to get back to Firefox 3 something.. the 4.0 will not work on my Mac.

UPDATE BROKE: I've lost the ability to delete lasso points with the 'delete key'.
As stated: I cannot press the delete key to delete lasso points anymore. What have I done, or what setting needs to be changed. This happened after last CC PS update.
I also cannot click on the top bar of a window in PS and have options come up like image size and the lot. That is missing as well.

My iPhone 5 lost the ability to play through speakers.
Speakerphone, ringtones gone. I am able to use phone, sounds fine through headset. It was working fine last week.
The error was caused by a problem with one of my firewire 800 drives. I tracked it down by trashing STP's preferences and restarting without any peripherals (drives, etc.) plugged in, opening STP (which played correctly), then one by one plugging in the drives until STP started having that issue again.
In Disk Utility I did "verify Disk" and then "Repair Disk" after it found some errors on the suspect disk. That seems to have cleared things up. -

You need to delete the Yahoo account and reset it up. I just did this for an iPhone running yahoo in my house.

> Mail Contacts etc
> Select Yahoo account
> Delete account

> Add account

My iphone does not connect to my email provider and fetch my email. I have been getting emall ok previously, this occurred when I changed my password on my email account. I have "set up a new account" but get the message "server is unavailable". I have tried several things but to no avail. Does anyone have the solution?

I am getting a message that my iphoto library cannot be opened because I mades changes to my photos in a newer version of iphoto and I need to quit and use the newest version of iPhoto. but in update, it says i have no updates. i dont even remember making changes in iphoto.Help. thanks.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.I've never had this problem before... today I opened iTunes and it prompted me to download the newest version. I use iTunes all the time and have updated it multiple times with no issues. During the installation process it gave me an error message that said:

I quit the installation, uninstalled iTunes and rebooted my computer. I now receive a similar message with a slight difference:

I did not leave anything out from the error message. It doesn't point to a specific file, it just ends with "(x86)..." Every time I boot up my computer, this error message pops up on my desktop.
How do I repair this issue? I have found multiple suggested solutions but am unsure which one is the best, and I don't want to try a bunch of different things for fear I may make the problem worse. I would like to try and fix this myself if possible but I need to know if that is really possible or if I need to take my computer to someone for repairs. Yes, I had found a similar solution also. I'm running XP Pro, SP3. I went Control Panels/ Add-Remove programmes/apple software update/ change/ repair. Then run the 10.5 exe.
While the programme updated from version 8 of iTunes, my new iTunes is now a mess. Not all of my music was in the same folder previously but it all showed up on iTunes. Now many albums have been left out, some have only a few tracks and some have two copies of some tracks as well as having other tracks missing. I haven't begun to work on that.
