if they are still stored in iCloud, turn contacts off under settings>iCloud, then turn the back on and elect the merge option. if that doesn't work you may have to remove the account from the device, and sign back in

I apparently moved or deleted my iCloud folder and keep getting this message Use the iCloud Control Panel to pick a new folder. How do I do this?
I have/had the same problem, just started this morning. I tried a system restore to a known good date. I still had the problem so I rolled restored the system to the latest.
Thinking that it might have something to do with priviliges, I reviewed my user account and noticed it was set to "Administrator". On a whim, I switched my user account from administrator to "standard user" and I'll be... the issue dissapeared. I have no idea why. But I thought I'd pass it along. -

When we first got our iphones, we used 1 Apple ID and created an iCloud account with the same Apple ID. I now want to create a new iCloud account, separate from the one we have, which is being used my my wife on her phone. I can only see that I can delete the current iCloud account on my phone - I do not want to totally delete this iCloud account, since my wife's info is being stored on the account on her phone and she is going to continue to use this iCloud account. I just want to get it off of my phone and use a new iCloud account, separate from hers. I hope I explained this clearly enough
With iOS 7 you have to delete the old account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Multiple devices on iTunes account how do I use the iCloud without us getting each others texts
I have 2 iPhones one is mine one is my boyfriends when I downloaded the software he was receiving my texts on his phone even though I chose to only connect his phone through my computer both phones and my iPad are on the Samuel iTunes account I deleted the account from the iCloud to stop it but how do I keep the cloud and stop it from getting our texts on both phones?????
You can keep everyone on your iTunes account all you have to do is have everyone create there own iCloud account. Me, my wife, and my son all have our own iCloud for our own use. I have my 3 devices linked to mine, my son has 2 linked to his and my wife has 2 also. For some reason by default the iDevice will ask you to use your iTunes account but you don't have to. You can create it right from the device itself if you want a @me account which is the way to go IMO. you can also go to iCloud.com and create it there too. We have a total of 8 devices linked to one iTunes account for purchases and everything works like a champ. Hope this helps.

HT5058 Why does the iCloud backup/restore save contacts from Exchange or CardDAV?
We push MDM configurations to iOS users which include e-mail, contact, and calendar setups for the user to use. What we don't want is the user to have the ability to keep these on their phone if we do a remote wipe and don't activate/enroll their device in our MDM solution again. E-mail isn't touched on the iCloud backup so a restore doesn't put it back on, but contacts and calendar are backed up as part of the iCloud backup despite coming from the MDM configuration. This means our company data can reside on their personal backups.
Is there a way to stop this from happening?iTunes only keeps one normal backup per iOS device, most likely because an iOS device backup can be 6GB's or more in size. Given the fact that many users sync daily, their hard drives would quickly fill up, with mostly useless iOS device backups, if iTunes kept a separate backup each time you synced.
As for contacts, they are designed to be synced with a supported contact application on your computer or a cloud service. Relying solely on an iPhone backup as the sole depository of this data invites disaster. Had you been syncing your contacts, as designed, you wouldn't be in this boat. -
How do I use the Verizon Service & Protection app to locate my phone if it gets lost?
The Verizon Support & Protection app (VZ Protect) is installed on my phone and is supposed to help me if my phone is lost or stolen by allowing me to find it on a map, lock it, erase my data from it, etc. But I found it nearly impossible to figure out what I should do in the event that actually did get lost or stolen.
I logged into my My Verizon account from my computer (which is probably what I would do if I lost my phone), but unfortunately there isn't anything on the site to help a person who has actually lost their phone or had it stolen to quickly and easily locate it. Most of the links I found were only promoting Verizon's services and the app, but nothing on how to use it.
I tried searching for things I might type if I had actually lost my phone (like, "missing phone", "stolen phone", "find lost phone"). I had to go into the "How to Use Guide: Verizon Support & Protection" page, which I was only able to find on the Verizon Support & Protection FAQs page), in order to find a link that told me I had to go to the Verizon Support & Protection App website to use this service.
There really should be something more obvious right on the My Verizon site.Purchase a replacement remote.
The remote is required for configuring the ATV and setting up the remote app on iDevices. -
How can I use the iCloud backup files?
Recently I lost my passcode and I had to reset my iPhone. Some of my data is on iCloud but I don't know how to use my camera roll again in my Photos. All I want is to know how can I store my pictures and videos from iCloud to my Photos.
Your camera roll is included in your device backup by default, unless you excluded it in settings. However, you can't view the photos and videos (or anything else) in the backup; you can only restore it to your device. Later this fall, iCloud Photo Library will be introduced along with iOS 8. At that time, you can start storing and accessing your photos and videos in iCloud (see https://www.apple.com/icloud/preview/).

Make sure you are signed into the same iCloud account on all of them in Settings>iCloud with Calendars turned on. Also make sure you are adding events to your iCloud calendar. Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar ( in the Calendars section) on each of your devices and make sure you have selected your iCloud calendar as your default, and not something else like On My iPhone, Google, Yahoo or Exchange. After adjusting your settings, add a test event on each of your devices and confirm that your calendars are syncing properly now.

Thay's correct. Buying iCloud storage does not increase the local storage capacity of your iPad.
Your iPad will always have the 16, 32 or 64GB of storage you bought it with.
iCloud storage is space on Apple's iCloud servers - not on your device.
You'll need to clear some space on your iPad to make room for apps. -
When friends use a different name in Facebook, than what the real name is, I told my iPhone to use the name like I entered it for the iCloud contact.
Anytime I connect my iPhone with iTunes it automatically changes back the names to the Facebook ones, and I have to change it again manually for like 50 contacts, that is very very annoying! How can I change it that the iPhone should use the iCloud names for every contact or at least for the one with different Facebook/real names as default?I would use iTunes Home Sharing to share the song you have and she can then add it to her library. Although, it seems as if she has never had a library since the phone was never connected to iTunes. My understanding of using iCloud is that for her to use a song that isn't in iTunes, you have to use iTunes Match, and there is a cost involved in this. If her phone was synced to her own iTunes library on a computer, you could use the Home Sharing as I indicated earlier.

I lost my Iphone 3GS. My brother has given me his Iphone 4 now. We both use the same notebook to update and sync our phones. I would like to know how can i reconnect back to my account using the Iphone which was previous used by my brother.
If you are saying that you both have iCloud accounts and use the same icloud ID, then yes, the contacts will be deleted. The idea is that all devices using the same icloud ID are kept in sync. You need to use different IDs. You can keep the same iTunes ID so you can share the songs and apps. But use different icloud IDs.

Database Session hangs around for 20 minutes after logout
We used HTML DB 1.6.0.00.87 to create a custom data warehouse reporting application. For some reason once you log out of HMTL_DB, the database session does not go away until 20 minutes later. I have tested it several times and it is consistent at 20
