HT201272 I have downloaded books from my iphone to my laptop. How do I get them to open so I canread them?
Already downloaded books from iphone 4s will not open on my dell laptop (windows 7) so I can read them. They were paid for from app store on my iphone 4s.
You can't currently read books purchased from Apple on a PC or Mac - at the moment they can only be read in the iBooks app on an iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch

I recently updated my ipad and then I connected with my computer for sync, not realising that I had a new version of itunes with none of my apps. Now I have lost all of the apps and books etc, that I had prurchased. How do I get them back?
As long as the apps and ibooks are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

I have downloded ITunes to a new laptop and signed in this let's me download previous purchases in to the librery but can't get the films I have bought quite a lot over time any idea how I can get them ???
You cannot.
You buy one and only one download of movies. it is your responsibility to backup your purchases.
Copy everything from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one. -

First, make sure your iPhone and iPad have absolutely identical Apple IDs. If they do, use that Apple ID in Settings > iCloud on your iPhone to select the "Notes" option. Lo and behold, all your iCloud notes should appear on your iPhone. -

Hello, not certain, but turn the Camera onto Play if it has such a setting, does it show up in iMovie then?

I am having an issue with my adobe acrobat 9 pro. Every time I try to open a pdf from someone it opens it up with my free adobe reader rather than the Acrobat 9 pro so then I don't have all of the functions of 9 pro. How do I get it to open with 9 pro instead of the free reader?
It may depend on the plugin that is loaded into your browser. However, right click on a PDF and select the Open With option and go to the default button to select Acrobat as the default. That might do it.

Easy-these are just aliases. Do a cloverleaf+F/command+F (Find) and they should appear. Either create an alias and drag it to the dock-or there's an "add to Dock" command in the Finder. so click on whichever app you'd like to add to the Dock, then add to Dock and it should appear there. If something isn't in the Dock that doesn't mean it's gone for good. It's just an alias

When an iPhone updates, it wipes the whole device clean and then reinstalls the software and then the backup. Obviously you didn't create/couldn't create a backup either via iCloud or iTunes. You can get your apps back when you go to App Store>Updates>Purchased and download the apps you want.

How can two users work on iMovie? My husband is working on a memorial video for a family member who passed, I plan to edit but he had to take his computer to work. I have the iMovie project on a zip drive. How do I get it to open in my imovie?
You will need an external drive that is formatted as MAC OS EXTENDED (journaled).
Move the Project, Events, and any photos and music to the external drive by following the instructions in this post.

My daughter bought a new ipod touch and when synced received the contacts from my iphone. She deleted the ones she didn't want on her ipod and now they are gone from my iphone. I have the cloud and i thought back up on itunes. I have tried to re-sync and no luck. How can I get my contacts back?
Your problem is that she used your icloud ID to connect to icloud and thus had all your data synced to her device. Contacts are not saved in a backup to icloud, since they are stored independently in the Contacts section of icloud. If someone deletes them, they are gone. If you had them on the PC would they be available in some backup you frequently make of the PC?

ThanksAll iTunes content on your iPhone - all music, movies, tv shows, and apps should be in your iTunes library on your computer - the computer used for syncing your iPhone with, and your iTunes library should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data.
You get the songs back with the computer where the songs are located with your iTunes library.
If the computer is no longer available or accessible and you didn't include your iTunes library with your computer's backup, your purchased songs are gone - unless the songs purchased from the iTunes store are available on a previous iPhone that is available and working.
