HT201317 iphone4 forced restore. Cant see my photos on ICloud? Should I restore factory settings Will I be able to recover my photos after restore?
Screen locked yesterday x 5 times. Powered on/off AOK. Connected to ITunes on windows PC, upgraded OS as suggested, Synch performed, backup halted Out of space? tried to delete apps from ITunes directly, Error messages "disk is full". Phone screen now showing ITunes logo and ITunes prompting a Restore of phone. What should I do? Will I lose my photos? I cant see any option to view my photos on ICloud (Contacts appear okay on ICloud)
Photos are not available for viewing on icloud and are not backed up to it from a PC or Mac, only from an ios device. It sounds like your iphone was unable to perform a backup to icloud before going bad (or whatever happened to it). You'll just have to perfrom a restore to see if any photos come back.
But the usual advice regarding photos is that you sync photos to the PC periodically as you would photos from a camera. If you've been doing that, then you'll find copies on the PC.

Yes. Yu have to just ensure that the iPod is signed into the iTunes account(s) that purchased the apps and other stuff and you have iTunes et up to sync the stuff to the iPod. You will loose however, any app data you have.

I have a Macbook Pro that has become bloated and really slow, so I backed up everyting to an external hard drive and want to restore my Macbook to factory settings. I have my orignal Snow Lepord install disk, but if I begin this process, will I be able to upgrade through SL --> ML --> Mavericks? Can I jump from SL to Mavericks? I downloaded both ML and Mavericks through iCloud on the App Store.

Instead of doing what you want, simply use the Recovery partition your Mac has got in order to reinstall OS X Mavericks.
Hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting up to start up into OS X Recovery, and open Disk Utility. Then, select your OS X volume (normally labelled as "Macintosh HD") in the Disk Utility sidebar, go to Erase tab and erase it. Finally, close Disk Utility and reinstall OS X. You will get OS X 10.9.1.
By doing this, you will not have to reinstall Snow Leopard and go back to Mavericks -
my ipad screen is black and will not reset and does not come back after restoring, the info is still on internal because i can see it on itunes in the apps catagory it's the display is not working, can see backlight but black...does anyone know how to fix, other than take it to apple.
thanks!The wish list only works on apps you have to pay for. To get it tap the icon of the app you want to save. After it opens at the upper right corner is a box with a arrow. Tap that then tap add to wish list list in the box that opens.

Stolen Phone: Will I be able to get my photos from iCloud to my replacement?
My phone was stolen last night. I have already ordered a replacement. When it arrives, will I be able to access my photos (specifically ones taken last night) in the photo stream/iCloud?
FYI - please respond in a "for dummies" way, because I'm hardly an "iphone veteran."Specifically, no. Unless you had already transferred the Camera Roll those pictures are not recoverable. Furthermore, unless you have a current backup on iTunes you won't be able to recover anything more recent than the last backup. If your other photos are already in iPhoto, then they can be restored to a new device.

When I open iTunes, this window pops up. "A required component is not installed. Please reinstall iTunes. (-42076)" I have not been able to sync my iPhone after restoring it. Can anyone help?
Download iTunes 11 from the Apple site and reinstall. The error message was quite plain in telling you what to do to resolve the error.

It all depends on the definition of "factory unlocked". If the phone was purchased directly from Apple and the receipt says "Unlocked" then updating or restoring it will leave it unlocked (Apple never uses the term "factory unlocked" as there is no such thing; phones are unlocked at activation time). Similarly, if it had been locked to a carrier and the carrier authorized it to be unlocked, and you went through the unlocking steps they provided, it is permanently unlocked.
Unfortunately, a lot of the phones sold as "factory unlocked" were actually unlocked by hacking in the "factory" in the basement of some shop somewhere. These phones at best will become locked to the original carrier if restored, and in the worst case will be permanently disabled if restored. -
